Stellar Frontiers Planet Pack
(Concept but I'm thinking about it)
Maybe I could get some collaboration?
You know, I like KSP and its planets along with moons, but I think all KSP players get a bit bored with plain old Jool and its moons, Eve and Duna being the easiest to get to. (I left out the Mun and Minmus on purpose) I think that the star system mods are cool and all, but even the Alcubierre Warp Drive mod cant get you there fast (don't get me wrong, I love that mod). Better Time Warp glitches out in top time hyper warp. The mod KerbalGalaxy 2 was really a mod I loved. Although it was glitchy, I loved the wormhole around Jool to get to Gargantua (Interstellar system). The wormhole wasn't very easy to get to, and I liked that. I think it had an SOI of about 100km, therefore you had to basically rendezvous with it. It would hyperspace jump you straight to Gargantua and boom you were there. If any mod authors are looking at this, I want to ask if you would mind making a 1.1 mod with two star systems and wormholes to get there. One wormhole around Jool, another around Eve. I have no clue whatsoever how to make a mod, but humbly, I think I have some good ideas.
Eve Wormhole System: Hades
Hades should be a red giant which puts out a dim flicker. It should have 4 planets with 5 moons.
Planets will go in order from closest to Hades, outward.
-Apollo - A brown rock floating in space around Hades. Apollo has a landscape ravaged by comets and asteroids. Tidally locked.
-Alpha - A green stormy planet with a yellow, thick atmosphere and a methane ocean (Kethane Compatibility?)
-Alpha's Moons:
-Hawk - A red, mostly oceanic rock. Dark navy blue oceans (idk a substance yet) and the irony surface (hence the red color)
-Gallant - A small captured asteroid about the size of Ike.
Back to planets:
-Omega - A large black-brown gas giant slightly larger than Jool.
-Omega's Moons:
- Kal - A wannabe comet which had a failed pass of Omega, skimming too close. An icy, rocky, brown body about the size of Minmus. Highly eccentric orbit. Dust tail going away from Omega.
- Kat - Kal's big brother which broke off during the failed pass of the parent comet. Kat is icy and abused by chunks of ice being blasted off of Kal's surface. Highly cratered, icy.
Back to the last planet:
- Kasar - An analog of Pluto, but larger. Kasar will be lightly cratered with a large plain on its Hades side (Tidally locked).
-Kasar's Moon:
- Kryo - Kryo is ravaged by asteroids, protecting its parent planet Kasar. Kryo is a cold dense planet with a thin limb for an atmosphere. It has volcanic activity all over its surface and is prone to quakes.
Jool Wormhole System: Astra
Thor should be a white dwarf star which puts out massive amounts of solar energy (a great place for solar panels), heat and brightness. It should have 4 planets and 3 moons. 1 comet will orbit Astra with a very elliptical orbit.
Planets will go in order from closest to Astra, outward (with the exception of the comet which is not a planet).
-Icarus - A small comet the size of Gilly. Highly eccentric orbit.
-Medusa - An iron infested, burnt, hot planet about the size of Duna.
-Pegasus - A oceanic and temperate planet in the habitable zone of Astra. Looks like Laythe, but more land. (Binary with Hercules)
-Pegasus' Moon:
- Hercules - A large oceanic body with scattered islands. (I know it can't be shown in game but,) Very strong tidal forces cause large waves, therefore it is uninhabitable for larger life. (extremophiles?) Prone to quakes
Back to the planets:
-Ra - A dark, post volcanic wasteland. Black surface with rough terrain.
-Achilles - A ringed navy blue gas giant smaller than Jool.
-Achilles' Moons:
-Lycus - A large body about the size of Kerbin with magnesium and sulfur as its main components. Closely orbits Achilles
-Orion - A body the size of Eve with a deep blue hue in its thin atmosphere. Possibly almost pure oxygen there?
