I got hit by a parked car.
You know, people say texting and driving is dangerous, but nobody talks about texting and walking!
-
I wrote a sci-fi short story about the TRAPPIST-1 system
-
Just got back from Johnson Space Center I got to walk inside of the Independence replica.
-
So, as some of you know, I'm working on a website, it stills needs a lot of work, but how is it so far?
-
Well... I accidentally marked the sci space forums as read.
Did not want to do that
-
Hey, so, future summer project, I'm thinking about starting a small blog on my website, nothing much, 1-2 posts a month, and I was wondering what topics I should cover in relation to advanced technology, and (Mainly) space travel.
For one thing, I'd like to talk about why Nuclear energy isn't that bad, and another post about an old project about future spaceflight, think Orion or Daedalus, and what it would've looked like if we went ahead with it, and what changes would've needed to be made to said projects for it to work.

Infinitum update.
IT'S ALMOST DONE!!!!
-
Hey everyone!
So.............. writing.
I have some pretty good ideas for Infinitum, I think you'll like them And I think the storyline will be infinitely better honestly. I'll release a brief overview of the plot on the main thread before Christmas.
My friend and I are busy with our Urban/Science fantasy novel Nathan Frost Exousia Project.
And lemme tell you, it's probably the coolest thing I've ever worked on, Harry Potter? Heh, we're gonna blow it out of the water.I really really want to finish Infinitum and The Children Between Worlds, so I'll probably be doing those simultaneously while my friend and I are planning it out.
But, er, I'm starting Calculus soon. Any tips please? I really suck at math Once it clicks, it's great! But it takes so. long. to get to that point.
I don't need a step by step guide, just important rules, general stuff, and things to remember, etc -
The new infinity war trailer has me shook
-
It's embarrassing to say this, but I haven't read Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy yet. On the plus side, I just got it today, so that will change
-
When did you change your profile picture?
It's awesome!
-
Remember "The whole "blowing up in atmosphere" is clearly caused by going too fast, too low. Some people would suggest madness like throttling down or "less boosters", when clearly the solution is more payload."
That was SAI Peregrinus

Do you want to be added to "The Children Between Worlds" PM?
-
If you want, could you see how many light years apart are Proxima and GJ 876 in Space Engine for my novel?
-
I've been thinking more about one of my future books since I can't write much at the moment (No laptop all the time ) and I think 'The Voyage through time' will be a dark, dystopian sci-fi novel, possibly a thriller, and likely 2-3 parts.
Update for TCBW: I've been thinking about the future books, and it'll probably be 3 parts, not 4.

Kyle Hill liked a tweet I gave him, so we may get a hyperspace drive video!

So... Question for people who know this much better than me (I just need to know semi-possible it is, this is for a sci-fi novel, but if it's unrealistic on the scale of having Napoleon nuking India and calling it historical fiction than tell me, and I won't put it on paper )
So, here's a thought I had last night after reading part of Wizards, Aliens, and Starships: Conversation laws of physics are local in nature, so you can't have 100 kg disappear on one end of a Wormhole, and have 100 kg appear on the other end. So the Wormhole you entered just gained 100 kg, and the one you exited just lost 100 kg, and the person who raised this issue, Matt Visser asked, what happens when one end loses so much mass, it becomes negative?
Here's what I thought of, it becomes unstable, and collapses in on itself, becoming a black hole, releasing a huge amount of energy, and sterilizing the system. And the second wormhole (Because it's connected to the other end) gets pulled into hyperspace, colliding into the newly formed black hole, causing it to release a huge amount of energy (Again) and creating a quasar.

I'm trying something new for my novels, by putting the first 300 words of the next chapter up for Infinitum and TCBW, both are up now
-
I've finished almost 1k words on C5 of Infinitum.
-
I've surpassed 15k words on Infinitum! with about 1.5k words on the 5th chapter
It went a bit slower than the other chapters, but it's about to pick up pace again.
Also, this is for much later, but do you guys have any tips for when I do the 2nd, 3rd draft, etc?
Also, also, do you guys have any download links for offline writing docs? Similar to word, so I can write without internet.
-
@TotallyNotHuman_ Ok, I'll try it, but the site isn't working right now.
In other news, I've surpassed 2k words on the chapter, now we're getting to the good stuff
-
Chapter 5 of TCBW is up! Personally, it's my favorite chapter so far, stuff is getting good
-
The Voyage Through Time has been (IDK, temporarily) renamed The Time Sleeper:
In the year 2051, a brilliant physicist and engineer builds a Cyropod that allows him to stay in stasis for a hundred years without aging. After boosting into orbit, he steps inside, and locks himself away for a century, where he wakes up in 2152.
Expecting fame and glory when he wakes, he is shocked to find out humanity has nearly wiped itself out. Desperate for supplies, he lands on the surface, and finds himself a prized slave to ruthless dictators who are willing to kill anyone without remorse.
With no way of traveling in the past, and the remnants of humanity on the edge of another war, which could wipe them out for good, he must rise a rebellion against them.
Or risk nuclear annihilation. -
So, I think I'm going to make TCBW a quadiligy instead of a trilogy, to tie up loose ends between the second and third novels.
-
Could be a hot Oceania.

Today was supposed to be a good day, full of Star Wars memes and jokes but politics ruined it.
Seriously, why didn't they just improve on what they had instead of replacing it with crap?
Not naming names or anything, this is just, ugh.
