I'll begin work on mine next weekend then to see if I can't make the legendary P1.

Its very opinionated, I don't know the percentage of people doing it, perhaps a large poll would work. I think that its close to 50/50 for people who like the game stock and people who enjoy using mods, so this might tie in with that. It will pull from the stock purist people like me who know that the paint isn't necessary for the craft to work, but it will also pertain to the people who heavily rely on mods, because it changes up the game in a way that they enjoy. There are my two long run-on sentences for the day.

10 Kilotons to LKO no Autostrut

What a beast! I'm working on an efficient 30kT lifter, its taking some time. -

Editor extensions redux allows for autostrutting all parts at once. It is laggy, but works. Then you just fine tune them later if it doesn't work. -

It isn't too hard, but without autostruts it can be a pain. Structural stability is a big issue on its own let alone finding an efficient design. -

Impressive! I have been working on an efficient 30,000 ton (payload) rocket but the limiting factor is part count. It is currently 4000+ parts. The 3000 ton lifter was relatively low part count with good reason, I gotta find an architectural design that allows for low part count and high efficiency for these rockets. Your aesthetic rocket will trump any of mine for a good time to come though, congrats! -
I've been busy and have a DeLorean to work on, so I don't think my version of the P1 will be done soon, look to LABS for that.

Everything from the 80s is aesthetic. I think that is because it was the last time we thought of the future as a better place, and looked for what good could come of it. Now when we think of the future it is saddening. -
Not tuned for driving on Duna? Strange, perhaps some buggy wheels and a roll cage modification...

That looks great! I'm working on some new stuff myself. -

Improved specs: 0-60mph in <2s 0-100mph in <3s 0-250mph in <10s Top speed of 285 mph, 127m/s. It tested it at the 1.2 wheel friction control setting and the performance is still within the margins I listed here, just not quite as good without the extra traction for launch, but it increased the top speed to 130m/s or 290 mph with the 1.2 friction control setting. It is also all wheel steering now, to improve track performance. Less drifting, more controlled power sliding.

Specs: (Once turbines reach 18+ kN of thrust while braked for full launch control) 0-60mph (26.8m/s) in 2.4s 0-100mph (44 m/s) in 3.6s Top speed of 93 m/s. - I guess I'm going to release an improved version.

McLaren P1? I'll give it a go next weekend. This aircraft has an example of a nice cockpit, higher part count but it works. Drag is unavoidable, so just add more thrust. https://kerbalx.com/He_162/Rk14

Just going to say that work has begun on an 08 roadster, so expect something cool next weekend.
-
Possibly! It is more than 100 parts less than my Ford GT replica.

Just made a post for it, and its 327 parts (321 without the crew piece) -
I'm back. https://kerbalx.com/He_162/162-Tesla-Roadster 0-60mph in <2s 0-100mph in <3s 0-250mph in <10s Top speed of 285mph, 127m/s. Just like Elon, I need to prove this, so I made a little video. - Oh, and that's the base model.

Awesome! I have gotten the DLC now thanks to somebody who thought it was a crime that I could not afford it, I appreciate this community greatly. The people here are fantastically wonderful, and profoundly kind.- 23 replies
