  1. Main Reasons: Lighter, cheaper, failure is less disastrous Also, another important reason (for me, at least), is that I think a well-built satellite looks awesome. I've never been able to make a crewed capsule look good. Parts like science gear are always awkwardly sticking out. But on a probe it just looks right.
  2. I FINALLY built a working SSTO!!! It's based off the Aeris 4A design, with some variations (fin placement, different tail fin). It's pretty awful, and has a very particular way of flying it. If I don't gain altitude fast enough it burns up, if I go too high it'll run out of fuel. If I fly it well it can limp to orbit using monopropellant to circularize. I think the very first flight actually made it up to about 150x150 orbit, but later tests were limited to 70x70. I'll show pictures later. It's awful, but I'm proud of it.
  3. It's giving my x32 as default on Steam. I don't see a difference, getting frequent crashes no matter what I do.
  4. Finally recorded KSP and put it up on Youtube. Also, started a space station in another save.
  5. What all do you put in the description? I don't know the character limit for certain, but I never ran into any problems.
  6. Finally recorded KSP gameplay for my youtube
  7. Just tested the update a couple hours ago. I like it! The UI took me by surprise, but it's nice to look at. It feels... fuzzier, somehow. I like the new parts (still trying to figure out the heatshield), and I like some of the new features added to parts. Did 1.1 change aerodynamics some? I built a plane, and kept having problems where it'd spin when turning. Could be my design problem, though
  8. This is seriously awesome! I love the style of telling the story! If I could give more likes I would :/
  9. That seems reasonable. It's a pretty minor issue anyways.
  10. KSP has many engines to offer, and all have their perks/downsides. What are your favorite engines, any size, solid or liquid? Note: This isn't about which engines are the best, this is about what you like to use the most. My favorites are the LV-909 (Good for the landers I use and orbital stages), LV-T45 (My go-to main engine), and the Skipper (Very pretty)
  11. It matters to me, because of reasons I specified earlier. I'm sick of planes running away from me. Course, this could be fixed with some brake improvements.
  12. That'd be an interesting idea! If I ever captured an asteroid, I'd try it (I really should start practicing redirecting asteroids)
  13. Good question. Maybe they'll fix it later, or maybe they tried curving it and it didn't work so they set it aside.
  14. A couple days ago I started a KSP series on my channel. Recorded two episodes, gonna delete both of them because 1.1 just came out and I didn't really care for the recordings :/
  15. It's kinda counterintuitive. The "flat" terrain is curved to Kerbin's curve. Ironically, this makes them flatter than the runway, which is actually flat.
  16. Oh man... I never even thought of microorganisms XD I'm betting the Kerbals don't eat the birds around the KSC, because they're scary and Kerbals don't understand how they can fly without rocket fuel.
  17. Ah, yes. My mistake. As animal life is limited on Kerbin, the Kerbals have little experience with dairy. Their snacks are made from plants and rocket fuel.
  18. You have more dedication than I XD I would've reverted at the first sign of trouble
  19. I really enjoyed this, and I'd love to see more!
  20. This reminded me of when I smashed my foot with a shovel last night reclaiming a parking lot XD I'd forgotten that happened My foot hurts again
  21. Beats me :/ Unless it released yesterday or today, or if it was released when I played it 2 days ago and 1.1 is just a terribly boring and unnoticible update, I wouldn't know.
  22. Two things have always irked me: 1: Me being distracted by something else when the plane spawns, and when I get back to it it's already off the runway, and 2: The pilot leaves the plane to take a surface sample or whatever, and the brakes disengage and the plane starts rolling away and I can't catch it.
