  1. My spaceplane breaks apart on the runway when I use these parts.
  2. Getting large cargo spaceplanes to work. The heaviest payload I've been able to get is a Rockomax X200-16 fuel tank. It took eight rapiers to get it into orbit.
  3. Thanks, I got it fixed. By the time I noticed the issue the craft files were long gone.
  4. Okay so I was building a base on Duna by sending multiple modules to arrive at the LZ and assemble by docking them with rover wheels. Problem was that all my docking ports were attached the wrong way. So instead of letting that simple mistake ruin hours of work, I used hyperedit to teleport Bill there and correct the docking ports with KAS. It worked, but the problem is now I have a Kerbal with cheated XP. How can I remove it.
  5. I've got some issues with the hacked version. There are no supplies in the command pods and it doesn't seem to work with KPBS.
  6. Which do you recommend that is updated to 1.1 and easy to switch over? I'm not experienced with mods and have only been using mods for a few weeks or so.
  7. I think the problem is with TAC life support. The version I'm using is not an official 1.1 version and has other issues like command pods not having resources. I guess I should get another LS mod.
  8. Deleted KPBS as well as all my other mods and reinstalled only KPBS and the life support tab is still missing.
  9. Life support tab is missing in the VAB in 1.1.2. Yes I did update the mod.
  10. I can imagine this being done with a Kickback SRB, reaction wheels, and a Mk1 command pod by doing a gravity turn as usual and pointing somewhere between the progrande and radial markers.
  11. Kerbal Engineer, TAC Life Support, KIS, and KAS. Aside from other mods that add new parts or improve visuals, I don't feel the game needs much more. Especially not MechJeb, I don't think a mod should play the game for the player.
  12. Landing gear seems to be broken, it is nigh impossible to take off without it spinning off the runway for some stupid reason.
  13. Just came to mind. I'm pretty sure you can still rescue Kerbals without EVA by using the claw to either pull them off from orbit, or use the crew transfer feature feature when you're connected. Not completely sure you can do crew transfers with the claw, but I'm pretty sure it can do everything a docking port can.
  14. What I mean is you don't need to upgrade it to level 3. Rescued Kerbals get added on the roster regardless if your astronaut complex can actually support it.
  15. You also don't need to upgrade your complex this way. Rescuing Kerbals from orbit is some of the easiest ways to make funds; therefore by the time those contracts no longer show up, I have all the Kerbals my careers will ever need without needing to upgrade my astronaut complex.
  16. No, make the existing ones interesting first. I remember when I first landed kerbals on Duna I felt that, while I was glad about my achievement, I also felt disappointed because there's nothing really there. A different low-res texture your kerbals are standing on and a different color atmosphere. That's it, nothing else, no reason to explore. The only part of the planet that I conquered was the 5 square meters I landed on. I want more, and by more I mean more variety on the planets themselves rather than a different color rock to land on.
  17. On the Mun waiting for flags to be planted.
  18. I have to admit I haven't fiddled with it too much and I'm mostly judging from my first impression of the available options. If I recall correctly the options available in KSP only consists of a deadzone and a sensitivity slider which is very crude and basic compared to the flight simulators I am used to. Compare KSP's options to that of an old WWII combat flight simulator, IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. In other note, flying with the keyboard in KSP is usually sufficient, although the throttle becomes very handy for landers and skycranes.
  19. I use my joystick only for the throttle because you cannot really set it up properly like you can in a flight simulator, or at least it's really difficult to do so. The fact that you can't change settings ingame doesn't help.
  20. I just built my first base outside the Kerbin system — on Dune. As I don't have many hours of time on my hands at the moment, I did all the work in one trip by descending the both modules and the rovers with one skycrane. The orbital scan was also done in the trip.
  21. I would like to be able to see on the other side of the navball. It will be really useful to be able to see where my target is without having to rotate my whole craft. Maybe you should be able to click and hold the navball to rotate it and right click to reset.
  22. I find fuel cells really useful on my drill/ISRU rig to power it at night. But on spacecraft, yeah, solar panels all the way.
  23. Why should there? The game doesn't have so many parts as to make it difficult to find the parts you are looking for. Unless of course if you have a lot of mods,
  24. Keep in mind I'm not to say the parts are useless, I'm just mentioning the parts I don't find myself using a lot. Anyway IIRC the Spark has a lower specific impulse than the terrier, with a higher TWR.
