  6. So, I tried to do a livestream, except my internet is extremely bad... So unfortunately I won't be streaming for quite some time if ever. :(

I don't know exactly, but I did an Ookla speed test and upload speed was like 0.56Mbps.

If you did not try you will never know if smth is possible?

  7. Chapter 40 - Untitled Space Chapter Unfortunately, I had to use ignore max temperature on the Duna entry because of the solar panels... There really should be a shielded variant. I really do try to keep that sort of cheating to a minimum. Sorry. However, except for glitches, I'm pretty sure I never had to use quickload in the making of this chapter. That doesn't happen very often, especially when an untested Duna lander and an untested SSTM are concerned... I'm going to try and transition to shorter chapters so I don't keep putting them off. Also, if people are interested, I might occasionally stream some of the gameplay if I get into that kind of stuff.
  8. The Sun of Jeb is our chance to murder the reptiles.
  9. Danger Will Robinson, the animal does stuff very fast and it's not supposed to happen.
  10. It's not really about the mass of the payload, it's where it's going. We probably won't see a 50t LEO payload for a while, but a 15T payload to TLI might very well happen soon-ish.
  11. This describes my life well, actually, with a bit of change. If I give myself three hours to do my homework, I get it done in two, but if I have to have it done in half an hour, it takes 35 minutes.
  12. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. The elapsed number of seconds and successive disagreements among the users of the KSP forum have dictated that it is time to replace the old sequence of English words with a new one, preferably not translating into binary, hexadecimal, or anything other than English.
  14. If I could fuel my spaceships with all of my dumb mistakes, i would have colonized the galaxy by now.
  15. Happy Heels - try on shoes and stuff make your feet happy. TarCraft - make stuff out of tar, and try not to die. StarRaft - You're stuck, floating through space, with nothing but an inflatable raft... Why is it up there, you ask? You could ask the same thing about the car. The Great Train Robery - A strange, eccentric man bought his own train to house his touring robery from which he sells robes of all kinds all over the continent. Your task is to prevent the evil Silas Richardson from killing him and stealing his solid gold robe (not very wearable).
  16. Hello!

I realize I've neglected my mission reports a lot. There are a few reasons for this, one being that the second half of 2017 was a really bad span of time for me, my free time dwindled, I got really into Minecraft for a month... The list goes on an on.

However, if all goes well, you all can expect Chapter 40 of Project Intrepid tomorrow, now with visual mods!

I got a really nice desktop computer for Christmas, and I just transferred the PI folder over today and got everything updated to 1.3.1 (previously it was on 1.2.2 or 1.1.1) and accidentally went crazy with CKAN. At first it was just KER/KAC, my essentials, but then I decided to add some visual enhancements... Then some more... And more... And then I threw in TweakScale, Hangar Extender, KAS/KIS, and a bunch of other cool things.

However, even with dozens of mods, I wanted to preserve the "spirit" of the stock game. The only mods that add parts to my knowledge are KER, KAS, and KIS which aren't really that big, so the ships will stay the same. For now I'm going to keep TweakScale to a minimum.

My new plan is to do shorter chapters rather than long ones, to improve the per-chapter turnaround. After 2-3 chapters of PI I'm going to try and finish a music video, do another chapter of Voyage, then shift gears into SRB grand tour for another 2-3 episodes, or at least that's the plan.

Come to think of it I shouldn't have started half a dozen projects, it's really hard to maintain them all at once. I'll try not to start any more at least until I finish one.

      Cool. Looking forward.
For myself personally to preserve the "spirit" of the game, that means no parts mods or part altering mods. Can't deny though that tweakscale is useful for making BIG things.

And when you're evacuating the planet, you tend to need BIG things...

      EDIT: Full list of mods:

      • BoulderCo city lights and stuff
      • Distant Object Enhancement
      • EngineLight
      • EVE
      • Hangar Extender
      • KAS
      • KER
      • KJR (I forgot about this one, it affects stock performance somewhat, but TBH it was getting insanely hard to build ships longer than 70 or so meters without the Kraken attacking, so I consider it justified)
      • HyperEdit (for testing, teleporting sets, off-planet vessel construction, abandoned bases, etc.)
      • KIS
      • A skybox that I'm probably going to change as it wasn't the one I was looking for
      • RealPlume
      • Scatterer
      • SigmaReplacements
      • SmokeScreen
      • SVE
      • Take Command (spawn Kerbals into EVA seats)
      • KAC
      • Transfer Window Planner
      • TweakScale (for absurdly huge things and avoiding clusters of dozens of engines)
      • Vessel Mover (same reasons as HyperEdit)
      • Waypoint Manager

Total of 22 mods, including 10 visual mods, 4 informational mods, 2 cheat mods, 2 editor mods, KAS/KIS, KJR, and TweakScale.

  17. Unfortunately this is where I think your plan would break down. If I read that correctly, you want to restart S2 after you get to the Moon by "light modification." Extra restarts would be easy enough, but insulation for the LOX and insulation (or heaters) for the RP-1 would probably require a bit more than "light" modification. The longest a Falcon has waited before restarting was about six hours, and for the moon it would have to retain fuel for at least 2-3 days (and have enough fuel left ot be useful). It could be done, but I think you might be stretching the meaning of lightly modified. That would be cool if it happened, though!
  18. I played a bit today, I don't have pictures, but Yonder 2 (new crew, lander upgrades, refueling the base so it can land) is en route to the moon and running a bit low on fuel. The second Gravity V is being built, it features liquid boosters, better interstages, and no more aerospikes. Its payload will be the Firework 1, a probe designed to get as close to the sun as possible without gravity assists. It has about 25km/s of delta-V, not bad considering the size of the payload. It will be the first test of a NERVA, which will be a crucial part of the upcoming Mars mission. I'm also sending an impactor to the Jupiter system in about 50 ingame days on a Mu V should all go well. The next launch overall will be a Uranus orbiter, on a Gravity IV. EDIT: I have determined that the Lunar Station is big enough and the final module has been cancelled in favor of using the "last" Gravity III for something else, and maybe someday launching future modules on Gravity V. If I do need a docking module it can be delivered using Gravity IB, it should be light enough.
  19. Ah... I misinterpreted the previous posts and thought we were talking about Mars! Hehe. Yeah, Starlink would probably be better than what I have now, and I don't live in a really densely populated area, so once/if Starlink comes online I'm probably going to switch to that.
  20. 32. Negative 1 dimensional spheroids are even better if you can handle the absence of logic.
