  1. Yes these are values from the thermal physics section (pressing F12 in game). I edited some config files like the stock settings.cfg to draw 5 conic patches, maybe some config files from RO, but I'm sure I didn't touch this one So how do I fix that? Just by deleting this duplicated section? Should I do a clean re-install? Again, thanks for the time you spend helping me. I really appreciate it. I can't do much if I can't re-enter!
  2. Are these settings right? Radiation Factor: 1 Conduction Factor: 120 Convection Factor: 7 Generation Factor: 0.025
  3. That's what I figured as well, but then the heat shield explodes because of overheating before half the ablator has been consumed. Tried with a perigee of 0 as well, same happens May the problem actually come from FAR ? I forgot to mention, I run KSP 1.1.2 with DR 7.4.5.0
  4. Thanks for your reply Here's the dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/aqogd3ho80gk4ze/ModuleManager.ConfigCache?dl=0 I tried with the 0.625 Heatshield and the 1.25 with my small probe. I just tried the 2m with the mk1 pod and still, unable to re-enter How do you configure the heatshields?
  5. Hi, I'm using deadly reentry with RO and I can't get my small probe to reenter. I'm in orbit, with a perigee and apogee of ~170km each. My probe consists of the able avionics package, the mk16 parachute on top and the 1.5m heatshield on the bottom and that's it. To re-enter, I decrease my perigee to 90km (I tried -400k, 60k, 70k, ..., 100k), but the 113 units of ablator get consumed before I reach 65km and I explode. There must be something wrong, right ? Should I decrease the heat multiplier? If yes, were to find it? I'm on a Mac so key binding might differ Thanks
  6. Yes that's indeed a possibility. I'll try that next time I boot it (not going to reboot it now since it takes 15min to load!)
  7. Thanks for these explanations. However, if these two issues are unrelated, why does this R&D bug happen after my probe fails to transmit science?
  8. Well I'm not a modder so I don't know how the parts are encoded. And I noticed the same thing as Maxsimal, that these probes have an issue with the MechJeb delta-v window in the VAB, so I thought maybe this is related Plus it seems it happens only when I've a probe from this mod, but I need to test that Actually it doesn't seem to be biome related as I said in my previous post. I have a couple experiments for which I have a report in the R&D archive, but no science and an empty progress bar
  9. Hi, Not sure it is a problem with RSS or US probes pack (I also wrote something on US probes pack thread) I was on a Moon fly-by mission, I tried to transmit data but here is what happened: 1 - Data gets transmitted but I get no science 2 - The contract, which requires to transmit or recover data, is hence not fulfilled 3 - When I go the Science archive in the R&D center, the Solar system has been replaced by the Kerbol system (on the left, with Kerbin, Mun, Minmus, Duna, etc). Data collected on Earth has been placed in Kerbin, but some experiments have an empty progress bar and a science value of 0. Reloading the save doesn't repair this, I have to restart the game. Then the solar system is back in the R&D archive, but if I go to my probe and send science again, it is switched again to the kerbol system. All the experiments that were transmitted with 0 science come form this mission where I have the Explorer 6 probe. I wrote on the US probe pack thread but I was told that it must come from "a complex interaction between KSP, Kopernicus and RSS", because, after all, "these are just parts". I would really appreciate if anyone can help me solve this, as I can't play the game if I can't get science from the Moon. I'll try again with another probe and let you know PS: I'm still with 1.1.2 and didn't update any mod to 1.1.3
  10. Same problem here with all the probes unlocked so far Plus I found another issue. I'm playing with Realism overhaul and RSS. After transmitting the data (and not getting the science + not fulfilling the contract), I went to the Science archive in the R&D center, and the planets that show on the left were the ones from the Kerbol system, with Kerbin, Duna, etc. When looking at the science experiments done on Kerbin, I could see all the experiments I did on Earth, but the ones for which there is no corresponding Biome on Kerbin had 0 science and an empty progress bar. If I reload the save, it is still the Kerbol system. I actually have to restart the game. Then if I directly go the R&D, it is the real solar system. Then I go to my probe, transmit science, go back to R&D and it switched again to the Kerbol system I might be wrong, but my guess is that the probes from this mod don't deal properly with the biomes added by RSS
  11. Hi guys, I think the droptank x48 is bugged. I accepted a mission to test it in orbit around the Mun and whenever a ship has the droptank on it, it won't take off of the launchpad. It will even stay suspended in the air if, say, I have a decoupler and a modular grid segment below my ship (I don't have launch stability enhancer yet). If I only remove the droptank from the ship, it will lift off just fine, so I guess it comes from the droptank. I'm playing KSP 1.1 with KSPI extended 1.8.9 Cheers, And thanks for this awesome mod!
