There's one parts pack I really miss from the old days, the White Monkey Kitchenware and SpaceParts Factory was never updated, and Sarkun has long since left the community, with his work effectively being 'all rights reserved' it has faded into obscurity. But 1.0 gave me the parts to remake it... [Craft on Dropbox] [Craft on Pastebin] The Able has a lot of stability, you'll need to hold the S key a lot to turn (Able starts facing East), and the upper stage will circularise you and get you to the Mun or Minmus orbit. Baker is tight on fuel so be careful, you don't have much hover time if you want to make orbit again, though there is an RCS reserve. Charlie is really just for coming home, he has no probe core so you might want to EVA across, it's up to you, Baker alone isn't capable of a landing and return so an additional craft was needed. The names Able, Baker and Charlie come from the old US phonetic alphabet before alpha, beta etc, so it made sense to name the CSM Charlie as well. Have fun

Linux x64 1.0.2 - low graphics quality
sal_vager replied to Miruzuki's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
KSP x64 can have trouble writing to the settings.cfg depending on your system language, try deleting your settings.cfg, running KSP with "LC_ALL=C ./KSP.x86_64" and setting the graphics again. You will need to use LC_ALL every time, this is easier with a script like this. #!/bin/bash cd "/home/useraccountnamehere/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Kerbal Space Program/" LC_ALL=C ./KSP.x86_64 -
Right shift no longer works
sal_vager replied to darqen27's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Yes that's it, as you can see it's set to both the alt keys, not to left shift, left alt is already in use by Ubuntu and other distros to allow application winds to be grabbed and moved. -
Squad has already wrote code to update previous release saves to the newer version, it's been working pretty well for several releases so far, but as always, back up your saves just in case. So the answer to "Is save breaking possible post-release?" is "Squad have already worked to prevent that"

Graphics Bug approaching Kerbin
sal_vager replied to CaddyShack1643's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
This should stop happening after a restart, it's a pretty old issue with no reliable reproduction steps, so it's near impossible to find the cause. -

How to not Spaghetti Rocket?
sal_vager replied to RAINCRAFTER's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I saw a craft like this yesterday which I fixed for a member, I placed some of the new fins part way up and ran struts to it from the top and bottom of the rocket, making triangle reinforcements. I think you'll want at least two sets of small fins, a third of the way for each set, and run your struts from top down. -

What about network attached storage? I found this bug report on the Unity tracker, it looks to be why loading is slow on Windows with unused network adapters. Unity3D bug report January 2014, www-Class for loading local texture is very slow. -

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
sal_vager replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Guys, I recommend you use the official bug reporting guide for all issues even for mods, and try to reproduce the issue at least once before reporting, one-off events are not useful. Logs and reproduction steps are essential.- 14,073 replies
