The only way, in this case. It's just as Kerbal as sending planes into space with no launch stack. So I will try and learn, and send my abominations.

Should KSP have a Delta-V readout?
awfulhumanbeing replied to bsalis's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I mean, ksp is far less realistic anyway, and an average KSP player isn't a rocket scientist and they would have to guess really. So yeah, I wasn't really right, rocket scientists figure out dV without any problems, I'm sure, but if a KSP player was about to design a moon rocket, they would need a scientist to get all the stats. -
Tested. Doesn't work.

Let's talk about nostalgia & past. What are the most nostalgic games/movies/books you know? What were you doing in your childhood? Also, just talk about your past. Well, my favorite game is Conker's Bad Fur Day on Nintendo 64. Huh, it's actually an adults' game. Maybe that's why I liked it at the age of 14 I was a huge fan of horror movies, just as any child whatsoever. The Alien was my favorite, but the old Hammer and Universal were more funny than horrifying. These are classic. I didn't read books as much, but was quite fond of Sherlock Holmes stuff. Read nearly all of it. So what's your stuff? Share!

Should KSP have a Delta-V readout?
awfulhumanbeing replied to bsalis's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
If estimated, yes. Because in real life you'd have to guess more or less. -

Trajectories. -
blobies, and generally, all birds except canards. It censors birds. Yes.

If you like a good strategy game, it's certainly worth it. I am quite satisfied with its gameplay, even though I don't play games like it so much.

Without a doubt, best game for showing your creativity, and probably, best game about space, with bits of edutainment, need to think what are you doing, planning, building and, of course, lots of content, addons, and fun gameplay. Also, one of the most friendly communities of any game.

Huh, the Brutus refuses to fly for some reason on 1.0.5. Or am I just a n00b? Oh, and yeah, great job.- 157 replies

Any good Space-Shuttle mod for 1.0.5/1.1?
awfulhumanbeing replied to awfulhumanbeing's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Yay, thanks! Cool mod, even though not a full shuttle, it has all needed parts. -
Hello guys. I really love the shuttle program, but quite suck at constructing it. Are there any mods that add a shuttle except KSO? PS. Space Shuttle Engines and others (if you find 'em) don't count. I want a shuttle, not a few utility parts for it.

Why are spaceplanes so twitchy after re-entry?
awfulhumanbeing replied to awfulhumanbeing's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yeah, I know. -
Why are spaceplanes so twitchy after re-entry?
awfulhumanbeing replied to awfulhumanbeing's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Thanks @Tomator, maybe this is it, I'll check when I get home. Also, how do you get 1500 m/s in-atmosphere by gliding? -
Why are spaceplanes so twitchy after re-entry?
awfulhumanbeing replied to awfulhumanbeing's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yes, @JoeNapalm, I am using gimbals, but it's not that I have much fuel left on landing. -
Why are spaceplanes so twitchy after re-entry?
awfulhumanbeing replied to awfulhumanbeing's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I can't upload the craft right now because I'm in a train and my laptop's battery is dead, I'm asking this with an iPad. But I watched guides and yes, my craft is balanced with or without fuel (once again, tested) Becomes unstable approx. at 30 km ASL, right after the flare extinguishes. I guess it's because of lack of lift and low speeds due to overshooting with aero braking. Basically, it might be a piloting mistake. On its takeoff speed of 250 m/s or so and up to Mach 3 the craft is awesome. I'll try to fix this, thanks for help! -
Because I'm stupid.

They never fly higher than LKO.

Why Does Anybody Use Engine Gimbal?
awfulhumanbeing replied to Geschosskopf's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Gimbaling gives better stability during burnout if you don't use it too much. It gives you additional rotation that doesn't take any additional fuel, and a little electricity when needed and when not needed it can be turned off. Gimbals are useful during takeoff, orbital maneuvers and landing for better precision. Anyways, gimbaling is just a tool in the hands of a player that is given to him with an option of either using it or not. -
Great job, mate! If you could've seen my abominations, you would understand me. Surprisingly, it's very compact and has reasonable capabilities. I expected to see stuff like mine . One suggestion: if you're not very critical about the mass, use a shielded Clamp-O-Tron. Makes re-entries so much easier!
