  1. I bet there'd be plenty of people willing to help you with that. Myself not included, due to my skill in coding, or lack thereof. Well, that or just get the guys who do Kopernicus to fix it, your choice. But seriously, please get this glitch fixed.
  2. I'll reboot and see if that fixes it, but before, entering the VAB/SPH and exiting it didn't help. I'll let you know what the result is after I do it. um... I found the problem... as it turns out, the game is functioning perfectly, but with some interesting results. See for yourself. I started laughing like crazy when I saw this.
  3. So, I boot up KSP with a bunch of mods, start a new save (this is my first save file on this copy), and am greeted with this "lovely" sight at a horrible framerate: I have no idea why, or how, but what I do know is what mods I'm using, and that there aren't any logs, unfortunately. Please help.
  4. welp, I've tried the "remove some mods and try again" method, at least 3 times, and didn't succeed at finding the problem. I've decided to just do 1.3, since that seems like the best choice, since pretty much all the mods that I had are available in it. Thanks for your help, TheRagingIrishman and linuxgurugamer, even if I didn't get the bug dealt with.
  5. okay I guess that makes sense. I'll let you know tomorrow if the problem child is an important mod (one that I really, really, REALLY need), since I've got no time left today.
  6. Just saying, I had no problems with to boldly go before, but one mod that I installed just isn't playing nice with the VAB. Also, I managed to find a list of mods that included dates added, and here's the most recent big mod installations contents: Make of this what you will, and if you find a problem, PLEASE tell me what it is, and how to fix it. Heck, even if you don't know how to fix it, tell me.
  7. Nope, no planet pack. Just a galaxy pack! To Boldly Go, to be exact.
  8. yeah, I know. I downloaded the installer one day, forgot which version I'd installed the next day, when I actually installed it. I should probably change the folder name sometime. EDIT: Of course I'm not running it from the desktop. I used to have various stuff on there, but I moved it, hence the "stuff that was on the desktop" folder.
  9. Which I just did, and feel like an idiot because of. Yeah, I really need to start reading stuff like that more often. EDIT: Just uploaded one of the logs to dropbox, here's link. And yes, this is a consistent crash. Sadly.
  10. I've already given logs, remember? Or do you mean logs of when I entered the SPH?
  11. oh, another thing: I tried the SPH, and didn't crash.
  12. ah, timing of replies. such chaos. But anyways, that does make sense. But my problem still isn't solved, unfortunately. List of mods that don't say specifically that a version for 1.1.3 is installed along with which version of the mod is installed:
  13. ... there isn't a mod that finds what's causing the error? Could've sworn there was... And also, why no logs in forum? Just curious.
  14. Tell ya what, I'll get a mod error checker to figure out what's specifically going wrong. got any recommendations for one?
  15. I have plenty of mods installed on 1.1.3, and no idea which one is causing this. Please help. Crash logs for both crashes (I did try to enter the VAB a second time after the first crash) Modlist according to CKAN: Please help.
  16. Thank you SO MUCH for letting me know about that mod! Your suggestion about how to best approach a mission is also nice!
  17. *sees in a reply to question about visual mods* WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Even though I've got a geforce GTX, I have cooling issues. Laptops aren't the best at cooling.
  18. Glad you're enjoying it! And boy, does that look AWESOME. I'd be doing it too, if I could cool my computer.
  19. Y'know, that specs recommendation probably won't hold up against SVE. I've had the most heating problems with several visual mods installed, and probably won't be using them until I get something like a fan blowing on my keyboard, which for some reason is the part that gets the most hot, and might even not be covered by the fans, as even when the vents are blowing out cool air, it still feels warm there.
  20. About the GPU, I actually use mine for other games, like BeamNG.drive and Cemu (wii u emulator). I have a 1TB HDD, which I use mainly as my games directory and personal file storage, along with a 128GB SSD for stuff like my OS, plus the games that I installed there before deciding on my game directory location. Also, I had a 250GB HDD drive in my 2nd computer, which I didn't get even close to filling up. Also, my main problem for specs is what I'd need for something like Scatterer, EVE, Planetshine, and Distant Object Enhancement. Mind letting me know what visual mods you use? EDIT: By 2nd computer, I mean the second computer that I used. My current computer is my fourth one.
  21. I have a laptop stand/cooler at home, but I don't know what brand it is, but what I do know about it is that it has a few USB ports on it, and periodically makes a grinding sound of sorts for no apparent reason. No offense taken. I've got a pretty decent laptop, but nothing too crazy. I prefer to upgrade when I need to, and get something that'll last. As for brand choice, my parents picked out this thing for me. It's an Inspiron 15 7559, only thing changed from base model is RAM, at a current 16 GB. And no, I don't put my laptop on my lap, at least not when doing stuff like, at minimum in terms of processing power, n64 emulation.
  22. I've already cleaned out the inside, but it's not being propped up on anything, as I'm in arizona at this time, which is quite a ways away from home, so no computer stand. Also, I haven't had as much heating problems without visual mods, so it might be my graphics card that's having overheating issues.
