  1. The time warp bug is an absolute game stopper and it doesn't look like it was addressed. As career mode progresses on ps4 you eventually cannot time warp and then save afterwards. The game completely locks out saving, loading, return to space centre or tracking station, in some cases you cannot recover vehicle when landed on Kerbin. This has been a major complaint, how could it not be addressed? All of these fixes are great but you cannot finish career with this bug. Has this been addressed in this patch? Are you even aware of it? Ridiculous.
  2. I am just curios if any player here has made it through the entire science tree on console? I am on PS4 and I would love to know.
  3. Thanks Deddly. And thanks @PrvDancer85. The community is great, and very smart people come here to express views and opinions. I think my point was made, as sarcastic as it was.
  4. If you can't time warp because you cannot save (because the port is a train wreck), you have to sit there and wait for your ship to get to Duna, I have never done it without warping. Would it be more then 6 hours IRL? Either way thanks for helping me with my point.
  5. For those of you looking for an end game idea in career mode with the current state of the ps4 version. Play until your save doesn't load anymore. YOU WIN! Remember, time warping and then expecting to save afterwards if for whimps. Real players will sit for 6 hours while your craft transitions to Duna! What a mess.
  6. Ps4 standard console Late Career Mode Cursor Preset In my current game I was nearing the end of the science tree. This bug has already been reported, but please note that before the game would not load anymore I was getting extreme cases of not being able to save due to the time warp bug. I guess we are waiting for another KSP weekly to get an update.
  7. Great effort but I have added numerous bug reports and detailed descriptions about the problems I have faced. The game is a mess. Not only are you assuming that I havn't submitted bug reports (which I have) or made numerous posts about bugs, but you have spent all this time writing that post [snip]. Oh! and the title of the post is grand discussion thread. Not a support thread. I am discussing how the game is a complete mess on console. Even after a year and a half wait. Cheers.
  8. The port is an absolute mess. Yes, it is better than Flying Tiger's version but it is bordering unplayable. Late game career mode is a nightmare. Shame on you SQUAD and BLITWORKS.
  9. Your frustration is shared, and concerns are growing. I am holding out for the KSP weekly. Here's to hoping it actually has some news on the release of the patch. I'm holding my rant until I get more information.
  10. Once the game is certified you can pump out updates on ps4 not so much for xbox. Trying remain calm. Waiting for this weeks KSP weekly.
  11. Absolutely not, time warp is off. It is unplayable. I tried again last night and it runs for a bit, but as you know in KSP with long missions time warp is inevitable. I had a bit of success with focusing on my vessel to save rather than map view, also deleting the persistent save before saving. That seemed to work for a bit but eventually the bug took over. I did have luck sometimes with just pushing on and hoping I don't make mistakes so I could get back to Kerbin and recover the vessel. I took off from Duna landed on Kerbin and couldn't recover the vessel or save, or anything else. Total game breaker.
  12. WARNING* ps4 version becomes more and more unplayable the further you go. The time warp bug has made the game unplayable. Essentially I am in career mode with the last 2 tiers (or so) in the science tree left to go. I am on my way to Duna with a flyby of Ike. Along the way the time warp bug was getting worse and worse (You can't save your game, return to SC or main menu). It is at the point now whenever I time warp the bug happens. I am stuck in the game with a satellite on approach to a maneuver around Duna.
  13. Playing on a standard ps4 Career mode Cursor controller preset The time warp bug seems to be compiling in severity the further along I go in the game. I am on a mission to put a satellite in to a polar orbit around Duna and I am flying by Ike. The problem started as per usual with time warping towards Duna after the intercept burn. I had to reload a few times on the trip to Duna as I could not save, return to SC or main menu. Now I am putting the probe into a polar orbit and any time warping causes the game to disallow saving, return to SC or main menu. The game is now unplayable for me. There have been other bugs that have occurred but nothing that actually stops your game.
  14. I think an update on a patch should be priority one for Squad and done in a timely manner. I am holding my opinion until I read the KSP weekly. We have waited a year and a half.
  15. I would love to do that, but I'm kind of a busy guy. If you have a ps4 in the office it should be really easy to recreate the time warp bug. That way you can rapidly check save files as they occur. It seems that after a long time warp you cannot save, return to space center or the main menu. It happens all the time in career mode. I noticed it starting about mid way through the tech tree progress in career mode (when you get into longer time warp situations). I wish you all the best. And I know you will get this fixed.
  16. Same on the PS4. I believe it is related to long time warps. After a long time warp I cannot quicksave, return to space center or return to main menu. This happens periodically and after a game restart it seems to fix itself for a bit.
  17. That's great advice guys. I have run into numerous times. It seems like the game session gets bogged down. It does run great after a restart, but you never know how long. It feels like we are getting close to a pretty stable release.
  18. Playstation standard console Career Mode During extended missions to new planets I have now come across a mission breaking bug. During both a Minmus and Duna mission I was unable to save the game, or return to the space center. I can always continue to play but all is for not because I will never capture my progess. Another related save issue is sometimes the game seems to get bogged down when saving. Any auto save or game save stalled the game significantly, to the point I thought it had crashed. But after 30 seconds the game resumed and I could interact until the next auto save. After restarting the game the problem went away.
  19. The debris was the old vessel that the kerbal in need of rescue was in. That re-spawned in orbit along with the rescue craft I built after the ship was de-orbited and the mission completed. An old plane crash I made also comes back when loading the game. I have recovered this already once before. the game still needs some love on console. Major bug fixes are required. I just pray after all this work and all this waiting that it comes soon.
  20. Career mode. 1. Ships loading from previous game session when loading up the game. I had completed a rescue mission returning the stranded kerbal to kerbin. I saved and quit after that mission. Loaded the game a few hours later and the vessel was back in orbit but the mission was marked complete. 2. Unable to save. In orbit around Minmus I suddenly was unable to save, exit to menu, or return to space centre or tracking station. The game was not frozen just the buttons from the option menu did nothing when clicked. Only option was to close application. I assume the mission was a wash I didn't go back in to check. 3. Contracts disappearing from loaded saved games. 4. Unable to set a maneuver node when entering map mode. Had to reload. 5. Old craft debris loaded into game, this was the craft from an old rescued kerbal, no kerbal in vessel. When I went to fly this vessel It would not see the ship right beside it ( the rescue vessel I built and sent up from a previous completed mission that shouldn't of been there as mentioned in 1st bug). 6. No way to focus back on current ship after focussing on a planet. You have to go to the tracking station. 7. I was able to recover a vessel on the mun. 8. Reverted flight from the launch pad to vab and lost jebidiah. Went to space centre view and the marker showed the craft was still on the launch pad. Tried a few things but couldn't get Jeb back, he vanished. 9. I got the dreaded stage scramble bug after an Eva orbiting minmus. This was during my inability to save, quit, go to space centre or tracking station. Hope this helps.
  21. Career mode starting minmus missions. When loading the game I noticed a previous rescue vessel I built in orbit again after rescue mission was complete. I terminated the vessel and moved on to an explore minmus mission. In orbit after an Eva for science recovery and then some time warping I noticed that I could not save or return to the space centre, tracking station or the main menu. The game wasn't froze I just couldn't do anything to save or leave the craft. After another Eva I got the dreaded staging scramble bug.
  22. For me it is not an absolute but relative answer. I have tried to remain positive through the year and a half wait. It was certainly frustrating but only because I love the game so much. I have played a little bit of the new release and it is night and day between the 2 versions. So to answer your question. Yes, I am happy. I am happy because SQUAD kept their word and made good on their promise. They are also going to fix bugs and support the new release. I am happy because in hindsight I believe that the wait was justified by the complexity of the problem. I am quick to forgive and from here on the past is water under the bridge and I am going to try and judge SQUAD on the current release and treat it fairly for what it is: A brand new port, built from the ground up that has just released on console. There will be bugs, and I believe they will be fixed. And if I was to Hazard a guess it will not be in months but in weeks. Happy Launchings.
  23. What an improvement! I played a little bit last night on ps4 and immediately you can tell something was different. It works! And works really well. Very smooth and I have to say, frustrations aside it seems to have been worth the wait. SQUAD made good on their promise and for that they deserve credit. It may have taken a year and a half to get here but I believe that the future is bright for the console edition. Happy launchings!
