And to make a bummer situation worse half the PC players defend squad like they are an an old family friend.
-
RIGHT???? One of them EXPLICITLY said he tested it! Guess they also said it went through THREE rounds of QA... geez

I have a few concerns, I want to keep playing my current save on PS4 but I am grinding my teeth at the thought of limping this save through the next few weeks to have the PS4 patch wipe out my progress completely. Should I just stop playing until its sorted out? Why am I expected to wait for something that should just work??? I didn't sign up for this!!! PULL UP SQUAD. PULL UP.

Latest Update creating more problems
Deadmanrunning replied to Cheesemass's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
Pretty worked up by the thought that the save I limped through the last few weeks will be wiped out by a ps4 patch that will likely add new problems. This has to be the most painful 40 bucks I've ever spent. -
Xbox One save file issue finally solved!
Deadmanrunning replied to UomoCapra's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
So am I wrong.. or did Goliath explicitly say he tested the cloud recovery? It doesn't work. Old saves are lost and the hot mess continues. -

I see you have thousands of posts and are on pc. Thanks for seeing it from my point of view, I found a few PC players are sympathic to our cause. -

Bet this isn't the Friday Squad and FTE wanted. I really can't empathize. I want what I paid for. -

Wonder if they will close this thread. The torches and pitchforks are coming. I second this. You're customers have been through enough, this failed patch is a disgrace. -

A part of me doesn't want it fixed... Let's just see how much of a hot mess it can get. <snip> -

Knock on wood man. Here's hoping this play through is the real game after our extended beta-trial-prerelease-chairity period. -
Xbox One Save Game Wipe After v.1180 patch
Deadmanrunning replied to Floby's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
Do new saves still currupt? A shame your old saves might be inaccessible, but at least you could "enjoy" a new career play through. If the saves still currupt then my faith in Squad and FTE will be finally snuffed out. 40 bucks to wait for months all the while angry and deprived. Nice one. Go team. -

Could you explain? Like your old save disappeared when you updated or you started a new game and still had save curruption -
Xbox One save file issue finally solved!
Deadmanrunning replied to UomoCapra's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
Might wanna bump the brakes on the celebrations here SQUAD: @Cheesemass 0Members3 posts Posted 7 hours ago · Downloaded the update for Xbox about 5 hours ago. Said that it needed to convert my saves. I converted them. Played my career for about 5 hours. Quicksave as... files started loading randomly with regard to title, multiple reloads eventually loaded correct save. B button stopped working to select craft parts while in orbit - then restarted KSP and my career was gone. Is this the save game issue that was supposed to be fixed today? -

Man! You said it. I am super disappointed I switched to ps4 from Xbox 360.... can't listen to music while I game unless I pay for Spotify, can't use headphones and TV for sound at same time... and now this! My favorite title doesn't have mod support and my second favorite currupted my saves -

I check the forum everyday hoping to see a third post on the Console Patches Update. Even if nothing more than a reminder we haven't been forgotten. -

Eve Return
Deadmanrunning replied to Deadmanrunning's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks so much guys!! I am happy to hear that it will take lots of fiddling and planning to do. My new career goal may be to recover a purple surface sample. A boss battle of sorts. The Gilly mining station sounds super cool! -

One of the Dev notes this week said xbone patch is going to get certified... sure hope the Quality is Assured on that patch. -
Hi, I am reasonably new to ksp. I won't attempt this in my career save until the patch but I was wondering : Just what does it take to return from Eve?! I have a KSP calculator app, the dV to return from Eve is massive. Do you have to set up a mining station to refuel? Or maybe an orbiting nuke tug?

I own KSP on console. I do not have a PC powerful enough to run it and I DEFINITELY do not want to buy another copy after the fiasco us console players have been through; but I'll say this: I've enjoyed learning about orbital mechanics I like Kerbals I like running ksp on my 40 inch TV I like lounging on a couch as I do so I own this hardware, so it is affordable However, The crashes and data loss are soul crushing "Did you know that 80 percents of all accidents in KSP happen in the VAB?" being most of the way through constructing some interplanetary beauty to have my console freeze is maddening. Some other posts on the forum explain how low a part count you need before crashing/corruption is an issue... something like 100 parts. So if you like space stations, mining or massive crafts it's a HUGE limitation. Again, I don't play on PC so I don't know if they also have this issue but parts don't like to "snap" together. Bottom line, DO NOT BUY CONSOLE KSP. Any creative person could find a way to hook their pc up to a TV in front of couch.
