  1. I actually used no plugins for the detail, just some techniques it learned. (Well, maybe a few. )
  2. @cratercracker It's been fixed! The planet now looks normal! Anyways... Here's Lich (PSR B1257+12) and it's planets. Draugr, Poltergeist and Phobetor.
  3. I know that, pulsars are only kilometers across, and the planets are far apart, but I wanted to show them all without them being tiny (or not being there at all.) And that bottom jet was supposed to go BEHIND the planet, but I screwed up. Time to fix.
  4. That's what I do, but I only do planet shadows for my 3-D renderings . I will try it later.
  5. I made pixel art of TRAPPIST-1 and Jupiter and Amalthea, respectively. Also featured here.
  6. Also thanks! I would add planetshine but I can't seem to get it right on land. On water it looks fine, but I forgot to put it in . EDIT: Got ninja'd
  7. Thanks! Next stop: I'm leaning toward doing Lich and it's planets, or maybe Dimidium.
  8. They have atmospheres and clouds, look closely. It took me about one-and-a-half hours.
  9. @cratercracker I finished my rendition of the TRAPPIST-1 system (I didn't do shadows though.):
  10. I was going to do the whole TRAPPIST-1 system, and 51 Pegasi b... or maybe 20000 Varuna
  11. Thank you! I am away at the moment, but next I might make a dwarf planet like Haumea, or maybe an exoplanet.
  12. I use a shooty-ask duck ton of plugins for PDN though. Plus I used some techniques I learned over the years. Rhea looks nice!
  13. For my pixel art I use paint.net. VERY powerful tool if you know how to use it.
  14. Taking inspiration from @cratercracker and @cubinator, I present to you... Jupiter! I'm really proud of this!
  15. I always pronounced it as halfway between "Mun" and "Moon".
  16. I borrowed both so I can upgrade my equipment to get a feel for it. The scope they built, and the camera I didn't look.
  17. Lots of stacking, long(-ish?) exposures, and a 10 inch scope.
  18. All of this deep sky stuff and not a lot of planets... BEHOLD URANUS: This wasn't processed very nicely From top to bottom: Oberon, Titania,, Miranda, Uranus, Ariel, Umbriel. Super happy how this turned out! Next stop: Neptune!
  19. THINGS THAT WILL BE IN VERSION 0.1 alpha: -Nibrek (No real biomes for now, maybe just ones marking land/oceans. There will later be ACTUAL biomes that people have suggested**) -Num/Sumnim (Not really. Both objects are largely incomplete, so for now they will be Mun/Minmus clones for now, respectively.**)* -Lots of bugs (expect the Kraken to be looming around in this system. Bugs will be fixed as the mod updates.) THINGS THAT WILL NOT BE IN VERSION 0.1 alpha**: -Mod support (Scatterer, E.V.E, ect. Mod support will come in future versions. -*(or **)See above -Other things likely to come much later that I can't remember. Stay tuned
  20. Are there any objections against the Lagoon Nebula?
  21. I would name the mission to Uranus Herschel, and the one to Neptune Le Verrier with an atmospheric probe named Adams (I'm ripping off of Cassini-Huygens's mission name here.) I see what you did there.
  22. The only thing I'm worried is time and resources... As far as I can tell we are running low on plutonium-238
