  1. Because I have only like 15 mods and ATM (even though it's outdated it still works for me), my game takes roughly 5 to 8 minutes. Without ATM I'd be looking at roughly 15 to 20.
  2. I run KSP on a Windows 10 laptop/notebook. Average framerate at low settings is about 40, ships with a part count of 100 make it 30.
  3. I used Eve, but uninstalled it after my frame rate would drop to like 20 when I looked at the clouds.
  4. I would like to see something like KSP on the mobile, but for the moment, it is pretty much impossible due to the CPU usage and complexity of the game.
  5. Teachers were all around the area, and told us all to join in.
  6. What powers does the Moderator, Global Moderator, and SQUAD Staff member have? Like are there any differences between them?
  7. @kapteenipirk Very interesting. Hope the weather clears up and you can get to the shop!
  8. Had a 'Spirit Rally' at lunchtime today at school. It's pretty much where we gather around and yell/scream the school song and anthem. I have my Friday garlic bread from the tuckshop (cafeteria for US readers), and the rally took place right outside it, so I was forced to 'join in'. Anyway, it cost me 20 minutes of my 35 minute lunchtime, so I'm really annoyed
  9. I've been fooling around again with SXT, and built the 'AirWhale 350' (The 350 part is for how many m/s it takes to takeoff). It can store several trucks, rovers, crates, and even light planes (fitting two LF-1 Bears in folding wing mode). Top speed of roughly 400m/s, takes about 30 seconds to stop after applying brakes, and needs the full length of the runway to take off. https://photos.app.goo.gl/u01ThqGKQiWwyikg2 - The AirWhale under construction https://photos.app.goo.gl/zJwN94ZLr0z6524j2 - Moved to the runway https://photos.app.goo.gl/iLPeETvMYRdOHAfD2 - Engines start https://photos.app.goo.gl/qTblpyxTK8eDYvDt1 - Takeoff! https://photos.app.goo.gl/8roaeU6Hzu67oTZC2 - Mirvy Kerman is worried about flying a slow, heavy aircraft. https://photos.app.goo.gl/KPDjeK3jidWXEqTg2 - Flying to the island https://photos.app.goo.gl/Eb33f3fCxIFSfJZd2 - After a lot of time, landed at the Ice Caps. https://photos.app.goo.gl/8K0zCqxhQDIhkUcn1 - The research vehicle is ready to be deployed https://photos.app.goo.gl/MiKeQBRGycp1XOjk1 - Safely driven down the ramp, ready to survey the area. And that's it. I'm planning to airdrop some crew facilities, but just need to figure out how to do it.
  10. Have you installed any mods, or changed anything in the game files?
  11. Hello. I've watched a lot of KSP videos, and I always see a recurring thing: the graphics mod. It's the one that changes the texture and animations of the water, that adds the sun's shine on the water, that adds auroras for the poles, and other cool stuff. So what's it called?
  12. So you can't click on anything? Like if you clicked on 'Start' it doesn't do anything?
  13. Introducing the LF (Light Flyer) 1, 'Bear'. It has space for six Kerbals, can fly for around 3 hours, has airbrakes and parachutes, can be fitted with landing gear or floats, and has a top speed of 281m/s, and only costs 15,000!
  14. How did this conversation of the Kerbal language turn into sacrificing Kerbals on a super moon?
  15. I forgot about this little thing! https://photos.app.goo.gl/BRvhSyVHsw4aLirG3 My little freight train MOC that I built over the holidays
  16. A list of 10 things that are essential for the new KSP player to know. 1) Watch some videos. It's a great way to see what goes on in the game, and to learn more tips about it. 2) If you find that your computer is having framerate issues, go into settings and turn down the graphics. It's better to have a high fps and low graphics, than a horrible fps but fantastic graphics. 3) Before you even create a new game, go through all the tutorials. They really help in teaching the controls, how to get into orbit, landing, and how to use things such as maneuver nodes and the symbols on the NavBall. 4) Use sandbox mode first. It can serve as a guide to get you used to the game, and go on to science and career modes. If you load up the game for the first time and pick 'Career' without knowing anything about the game or it's controls, you're gonna have a bad time. 5) Kerbals aren't invincible. If they hit the ground too hard, they will die. If they go through a rocket engine that is on, they will die. If they are going through re-entry, they will also die. To avoid losing all your kerbals while you are starting out in the game, turn on 'Missing Crews Respawn' in the difficulty options menu. Your kerbals will still die, but a few days later they will be back at the Astronaut Complex, ready to go on a mission. 6) Attach parachutes! If something goes wrong, and you want to save your crew, parachutes are vital! 7) Attach a heat shield. A heat shield will protect your craft from the heat of re-entry. If you don't, your craft will most likely explode due to the heat. 8) This is a bit cheaty, but if you want to play the game without your rockets or planes exploding or breaking apart, press ALT + F12. This brings up the debug menu, and allows you to have infinite fuel, RCS and EVA fuel (jetpack fuel), prevent your craft from breaking apart due to weight or high G forces, prevent parts from exploding due to overheating, and allow you to hack gravity (have no gravity on planets). 9) Check your staging! Before you launch your craft, go through the staging (the orange list thing on the right). You don't want your parachutes to deploy when your engines fire, do you? 10) Use the Engineer's Report. This shows all the info about your craft, including it's weight, length, height, and so on, but also tells you for example, if your engines aren't receiving fuel, or if you are going to accidentally discard a fully fuelled part of your rocket due to staging errors. And there you have it, my top 10 tips for new players in KSP! If I missed anything, or you want me to go over a certain bit, tell me!
  17. Yeah, I don't want the whole site to reboot and wipe all data clean or something! (I've probably just jinxed us all by saying that... )
  18. Ok, It's good to know that it didn't just happen to me
  19. Ok. Was the error that happened today only displaying for me? Or for everyone who went on the site did they also get the error.
  20. Hi all, I went on to the forums about half an hour ago, and was met by a '502 Bad Gateway' error thing, with an n/ginx thing or something. What is it, and why did this happen? Was it only me who got this, or was the whole website down.
  21. Imgur is the best one, but if you don't want to (or can't) use it you can use others like Google Photos or even Photobucket (which isn't free, like it used to be). And just a quick tip, if you have questions or need help doing stuff on the forum, you should put your topic in the 'Kerbal Network' section
  22. When it crashes, there should be an 'Output_log' file produced. This tells you what caused the game to crash, and why it did crash. For a solution, you pretty much need to show us that file. If you could upload it, we could go through it and find the cause of the crash.
