  1. Today I theorized about the Reputation to Post ratio on the forums. It is just essentially the KDR of Kerbals. But wait! TWR comes into play! Oh god! So I thought of a way to see how good someone is at KSP. I call it the RTPTWR!
  2. Did a remake of the Voyager mission called 'Impact'. I like the name as it is very Kerbal.
  3. Thanks! As you know, I am untalented in art, so I really appreciate this!
  4. I named Rooe and Luune after my pets. Roo is my dog and Luna is my cat
  5. There are multiple ways of getting to space in reality, so here are some. Space Elevator: Works by pulling a payload into orbit. A huge balloon: Takes you up to the upper atmosphere, until the balloon can no longer rise and bursts, when this happens the pod is deployed and uses thrusters or mini engines to propel it into orbit. SSTO: A plane that can go into space. A massive rail gun: Rail guns work by having large electromagnets in place to propel a payload into orbit Rockets: The obvious answer to space travel, has a large booster that works on liquid fuel and oxidizer to propel a payload into space
  6. So, you want to go to space huh? Well you've come to the right place. These tutorials should support the total beginner. So for a start, lets talk about space. What you see above you is space. The reason we walk on the Earth (Home) Is because of something called gravity. Gravity was discovered by a guy named Isaac Newton. Gravity works like this: The object with the most mass or a measure of how much matter is in an object, attracts the objects with less matter. Although, the objects require velocity to be able to have an orbit around an object, other wise they will just fall to it. So lets say we have the sun and the Earth. The Earth orbits the sun at 30km/s, which means that every second it moves 30kilometers. That's fast. Luckily, in KSP everything is scaled down. Kerbin or the Earth in this orbits at 9284.5m/s or around 9.3km/s. That is less than a 3rd of reality and a lot to play around with. So a 120km orbit around Kerbin is around 2km/s. This is what you want to achieve. But, you have to get high enough, so that takes about 2.5km/s of velocity, or we will refer to velocity needed as Δv or DeltaV. The explanation of this is that Delta means increase in and the V is Velocity. So it is the change in velocity. So how do we acquire this change in velocity then? We use rockets.
  7. Wow, That was creepy. My spacecraft exploded and I am picking up SSTV signals.
  8. (He's back!) I am doing a mission to Kormin, but I have added planets from different mods i.e OPM and Helion.
  9. I would like to see a planet in which the atmosphere rips craft apart on entry. It will basically be a gas giant with smaller gravity and an atmosphere 3x larger than Jool. The small planet inside will be the size of Duna. A good name would be Aaerioo. I know it is extremely unscientific, but would be a nice challenge to make huge SSTOs to escape the atmosphere.
  10. I love the concept of this mod (I am also a fan of the theory of a counter Earth), and I only have one other thing to say; I would like this mod to not grow large (I mean like Counter-Eves and Dunas) But I think you should carry on expanding it!
  11. *AR3S is now online* Kelper-52b or 'Hellworld'
  12. So yea, just post any cool looking screenshots. This one is from the Jelly Shroom biome from Subnautica.
  13. Kepler-22b or the real name for this is Planet 4546B or ocean planet from Subnautica This one isn't real (or so, but we would be ripped apart if we tried to go there if it was real), it is Xen from the Half Life series.
  14. 1) Graphics Overhaul 2) More Ion drives 3) Randomized star systems outside Kerbol 4) Faster loading screens 5) Achievement System 6) Steam workshop 7) IVA/EVA overhaul 8) Eve, Jool and Duna atmospheric breathing engines (need gas and Oxidizer) 9) Multiplayer 10) Boats / Submersibles Feel free to say what you want and what you dislike about this.
  15. But Kerbals will be on Laythe by then.
  16. Cheers for the mention and adding it to the OP, @cratercracker!
  17. Yeah, I will definitely will watch it soon.
  18. Woo! I will try it out sometime. BTW where do you make your textures?
  19. No, you mentioned 2001, which I liked but couldn't be bothered to watch. Star Trek was on this list of films and programmes I generally couldn't be bothered watching. Obviously, now it is not.
  20. Nice! I will have a look into it. Made with meat locally sourced from Gilly.
  21. I'm interested... What program did you use to make this?
