  1. I think he's saying that the engine overheats at idle, even with multiple radiators. He's using the green radial engine, and the temp is going to overheat quickly, without increasing throttle.
  2. Is there a way to migrate stock wheels to ICE? EDIT: After quite a bit of time playing with these new wheels, they really need a more realistic amount of grip. I've slid backwards at 10m/s after trying to turn about 10 degrees....
  3. I gave it several minutes actually, and the pop-up dialogue menu said that it was pitching correctly, but it produces no thrust, and it reads no thrust in the SPH as well.
  4. Hey Snjo, got a bug here. Trying to use your new tweakable helicopter rotor, but it doesn't produce any thrust, or ground effect. I'm running a lot of mods so there might be an incompatibility there somewhere. I'll do some more testing on a clean KSP but I don't think it's a problem on my end.
  5. Bug Report here: The swiveling helo gear on the newest prerelease has really bad texture issues, instead of being wheels, they end up being very flat, very long ellipses. They still do all the animations, but they look rather odd. It might be a mod incompatibility (I run a lot of them) but I don't know.
  6. This has probably been asked and addressed before, but I've installed RSS and the Realism Overhaul, and KW, along with stock tanks don't let me choose different propellants. I've looked on both threads but I can't find a solution.

  9. There's a mod called Texture Replacer, and it allows people to make textures to go over the defaults.   10. Just showing off a little night mission I did! BOMBER HUNTING!!!! If you're wondering how I finagled it to work, I launched all the bombers, taxied them off the runway, and parked them on the grass. Then I launched the attacking fighter, and took off. Switched to each bomber and took off. ??? Lots of bombers shot down. Imgur album: http://imgur.com/a/2U4ig#0 PS: I'm encountering a bug, where launch clamps like to follow your flight when you switch in atmos. They stay static, but float a few kilometers ahead every time you switch. EDIT: Also, the little auto turrets don't seem to work in flight? I was hoping the bombers would fight back, but even though they had different IFF tags, they wouldn't shoot.
  11. The wiki is absent of any sort of module documentation for the rover wheels, and I'm trying to increase the maximum speed of a custom rover wheel, but I don't know which variables to change. The TR-2L's defaults are listed below: torqueCurve { key = 0 100 0 0 key = 2.5 70 0 0 key = 30 0 0 0 }
  12. Not sure if anyone has told you about this Snjo, but (For me at least) the fighter landing gear never is quite straight enough for planes to take off, even your packaged planes. It seems to be about 2 or 3 degrees off, either outwards or inwards, and either way, the plane ends up crashing.
  13. InfiniteDice, I've changed my turret keybindings and those work fine, but when I try to change the keybindings of the stationary guns, I can't seem to find the place to put the variable? Any assistance would be appreciated. (I don't have a home key)
  14. I know someone above me posted it, but a .zip would be nice! Not every mac user has admin access to install 7zip, and we can't unzip .rars! So a .zip would be awesome, since everyone can use them!
  15. Sploobi, this post is nearly a year old, and way outdated for the challenge. This was pre-intakes, so your entry is a moot point. There is another speed challenge on the forum somewhere, and they get up to about 2,330m/s. Please don't necropost.
  16. Did damage make it into this release? I've been crashing SRB's into my carrier, and nothing has happened!
  17. Just stick everything in the GameData folder. I'm also on a mac, and sounds work great with the new folder structure.
  18. IIRC you're going to have to go to finder, then Alt+ library. Then you're going to go to application support, and find your steam folder. It should be in there somewhere. I don't know which folder to put it in, but it's in there somewhere.
  19. The COL is only for wing-based parts. For helicopters, you want to check the Center of THRUST. Because that's how FS works, it's an animated engine, rather than a true blade system. But yes, they are hard. Luckily though, Snjo has included several "helper tools". Namely, the "hover" and "Kill Velocity". Both of which help immensely, especially in a crew/capsule recovery system.
  20. If you notice, this thread is over a year old, and wouldn't work now, even IF the DL still existed. Those tanks were back when all rockets and jets just used LF.

  23. This isn't a going to follow the challenge guidelines, but I think it is still a worthy challenge. If you didn't know, in the film "The Dark Knight Rises", there is a helicopter-type vehicle, known as "the bat" I challenge you to build it. Note: There is no scoring, but I want to see how well you can do it. Rules: As there are no scores, anything is allowed. I recommend Snjo's aerospace mod, but whatever works.
