  2. Sooo.... after almost 3 hours of editing my new video about Kerberos Spaceplane is finished. You can watch it here: This was everything I've done in KSP today. Oh and I've opened my old career save from like a year ago, I learned a lot about building rockets since then.

  5. Today I forgot to add antenna to my Minmus Space Station... so I have to wait 10 more days for my money *edit* Actually my ion-powered scanner has one antenna (that is conviniently attached to station) which should cut it
  6. So I was casually playing my GPO modded career, was landing on Gol and Nightmare with my spaceplane when this glitch started happening. Every time I time-warped it warped the TIME as well, which meant that ship got warped to another place (1/16 of orbit forward or so) with velocity and everything. Very strange, maybe landing on Nightmare had to do something with it . Yeah, and PLANETS warped ahead too... Nightmare not following its orbit line is kinda scary. Thanks Kraken that ALT+F5 and ALT+F9 stopped this glitch from happening. *** Now let's move on... I think Veronica is being possesed by something, I'm judging that by the shadowy look on her face while being on Nightmare and Gol. That is being amplified by lack of satelite communication when landing. (I hope that the evil laughter is not that evil) Well when returning to Gaia, I somehow forgot to enable temperature gauges, and my plane almost melted, almost. The original plan was to recover the crew from KSS Nebula on the way back, but because I landed on Nightmare I had quite tight Delta-V budget with only 253m/s remaining after 2 aerobraking passes, correction and rendezvous with station would require aroun 200m/s and there wouldn't be any space for mistakes and also I do not have prop depo on station (yet), which means that I would have to push instead of deorbit burn. Also I had to wait few orbits before runway travelled to day side. Then one stanadard 100m/s deorbit burn later Veronica was speeding through the fire and flames of atmosphere, aaaand overshot runway quite a bit. It landed safely after 180 degree turn, and of course Kraken was the one designing landing gear here, so a little bumpy landing with 1 second freeze when touching the ground, but HEY! nothing broke and everything was successfully recovered.
  7. Full Mun landing mission with no quicksaves and capsule without parachutes (kerbals didn't have EVA chutes back then) easily does it. 1,5 hours of gameplay wasted.
  8. I was going to do a flyby of Gol and upon entering its SOI i decoupled the transfer stage. Then I went onto dipping my Pe as low as I could (In map screen), and after returning from map my transfer stage was rather quickly rotating away, because I hit it with my ship. Near miss can be the fact that nothing important expolded.

  11. I remember spending 8-12 hours building and launching my Ike surface base for contract in my first career game. It was real pain, because I didn't know how to dock (effectively) which means I spent 20 to 40 minutes docking each module. I had only the 1,25m docking ports and I didn't know about autostruts, so the whole ship was unstable, and wanted to summon Kraken at any given moment, mainly during trans-Duna injection. Funny fact: I never completed the mission, because I started playing another career with MOAR mods and more exciting stuff.

  13. When you are able to cut throttle using X with 0.1 m/s precision. And of course trying to move camera when watching KSP videos is one of symptoms as well.
  14. Did nothing in KSP today, but something related to it. I spent whole hour writing """story-ish mission report""" about launch of my first space station with tourist as well. Writing is taking far far longer than it should have. However after today it is mostly finished, but it still needs about another hour of writing to complete. Only then I can move on to next mission.
  15. I considered starting Mission report thread about my career, I have plenty of missions to write about, but the writing takes so much time. My mission today was to deliver first part of my space station to orbit and so I took tourism contract for Gaia orbit as well. I really hate that writing about it took at least 2 times longer than the actual mission, and I'm only half way through. I hope that I can publish it tomorrow, it is also my first experience in that area (and definitely not last... maybe)

  17. Finally I found out what exact thing casues my game to screw up! In my mission control some mod splits contracts by category (which is intended), however when I double clicked the category button it sent me to SPH or VAB without being able to click anything, which left me only with only one option... Alt+F4. Which would be fine if the game didn't take 5-10 minutes to start up.
  18. How did you get those last names for kerbals, is there a mod for this, or did you just change those names in configs?
  19. Today I was playing around with huge stations that can be used to "colonize" other planets. With @Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul I have more than enough possible destinations. I was quite surprised by that it can be launched by strapping 2 booster engines to it in one piece. The launch went well, considering that the station is almost 100m long and aerodynamic as brick. Then I had to decide how to fuel it, because it couldn't be launched full of fuel and other materials. I went with launching a bunch of ore, then refining it with station's 4 converters, it can process 9000 ore per hour with level 5 engineer. Still it will be a lot of launches to fully fuel it... Also I tried docking with my Magni spaceplane for the first time, nothing exciting here. And because the ore tanker was launched using one of my Silverbird-class SSTOs I had to land the booster. And what other location to land it at than right next to another used and landed booster from previous mission.   20. I just looked at Delta-V map for this mod, because y'know interplanetary travel and WELL WELL WELL what do we have there: dV requirement for Vulcan and Vulkine could not be more intentional than this. I'm still amazed how many easter eggs I found in this mod.
  21. Finally I have time to play KSP a bit. I wanted to finish my air-launched spaceplane by building proper air-launch plane that could launch it and that would look good. It can launch my spaceplane onto trajectory with Ap with around 40km at max speed of around 1000m/s. Since I use FMRS I can recover the launch plane easily, so it is not completly useless. I think I'll put it to use in my career game as well.
  22. I play KSP usually in the evenings, mainly because in that time I have idea of possible rocket or spaceplane. I play GTA5 or other games with friends
  23. When I created Kerberos plane yesterday I thought that some air-launch system would fit it. So I made one today! It is capable of puting Kerberos on trajectory with Ap around 45 km. Only problem with this launcher plane is that it REALLY wants to pitch up with Kerberos on board, little hard in the beginning but you get used to it. However without any payload it really flies perfectly. Then I decided to make another spaceplane because Kerberos in air launch mode has only 600m/s dV left in LKO. So I added moar fuel tanks to Kerberos and scaled wings a little bit. Now meet Magni, new addition to my spaceplane family. It is capable of docking and also has 4 more crew capacity. It will be perfect tool for getting kerbals to my space stations. Thanks to bigger fuel tanks it has around 2km/s dV in LKO when air launched and 3,5 km/s dV when fully fueled. Since it has RCS ports it is very stable on reentry, landing went also good, but it could be better. Thanks bumpy landing gear! Very exciting day today!
  24. Today I built small rocket-powered plane which I named Kerberos*. It flies fairly well, landing it is another thing. Thanks to the Kraken being hidden in the landing gear it either bumps of the ground, or destroys the wings. I shall try atmospheric variant of this plane later today. I still dont know how I managed to align COM and COL so that the plane won't crash on the first try. And maximum acceleration is only around pleasnt 9Gs. Overall it is pretty good plane, however I didn't test stability on reentry, yet. There are some parameters: Liftoff speed: around 60m/s Wingspan: 10.6m Mass (without payload): 12 tons Payload: small mk2 cargo bay * the name is subject to change
  25. Well the mod works just fine in 1.4.3. I wanted to ask if there is a list of custom ribbon packs somewhere.
