  1. Great landing! I believe they also slipped in a couple of frames from the second stage fuel tank cameras during engine cutoff, if anyone else caught that.
  2. I kind of taught myself how to draw during some of my free time. This paper is my progress through one week.
  3. Here’s the follow-up! Until I find a way to get better photos without using a phone camera, this will have to do. Also a Favorelle picture from today.
  4. I managed to get my first decent picture of the moon last night, I’ll definitely try to get some better ones soon.
  5. Modified my Falkon 1 rocket so I could partake in a recovery challenge. Say hello to Falkon 2! My submission for anyone curious: TL;DR I modified my reusable rocket to deploy two satellites in orbit, while landing both stages.
  6. Done! First stage performed a powered landing on the peninsula just east of the KSC. Second stage performed a perfect hoverslam, landed just west of the mountains next to the KSC. Deployment of two MiniSats in 200KM resonant orbits. I seem to have forgotten to upload the picture of the map view of the final result, so here’s just the one. Score: 35 mission highlights:
  7. Time to break out my Falkon 1. It needs some design tweaks but I should have my submission ready by tonight.
  8. Around this time every year huge amounts of fat and clumsy beetles just show up and hang out around our house. Not too sure what they’re called. But when I say they’re clumsy I mean they’re flying all over the place, bumping into walls and ceilings, and raining from the air if you’re near a light source. Right now we’re raising 20-something chicks inside our garage, And the big pen we’re keeping them in has a wire hatch that opens upward. Well, every ten minutes or so, one of those beetles comes tumbling through the air and straight through that wire hatch. It’s hilarious watching those chicks running around trying to grab a beetle from another, especially when there’s more than one in there.
  9. Installed and tested KER. And by tested, I mean built an SSTO that (totally purposefully) also had enough dV to fly by Minmus.
  10. When you’re throwing rockets together that get where you want with only units of fuel to spare.
  11. Mun Station is complete! The station houses 40 kerbals and features a telescope, science array with lab, docking array, docking tug, fuel depot, solar panels, antennae, a surface scanner, and four escape pods. Those four pods can only hold two kerbals each, because safety. Here’s a spoiler containing some highlights from the final mission.
  12. One of my miniature hens laid a very strangely-shaped egg today. The picture appears to make it shorter than it actually is, though.
  13. Docked the fuel module to my Mun Station, one module left to go before it’s all complete.
