  1. I'm sorry but I've been following progress since the annoncement in 2019, you literally said yourself (in your show and tell videos) that your staff were playing this game in their spare time because it was so much fun. What kind of framerate are your staff happy with?!? If they were KSP1 vets, and one was a modder for it (Near Future), so I know they are, how could they have been happy with even the most basic functions not working? I get Take Two giving the players the run around (Got EA so its good I dont need to take a 2nd mortage for the full release!) and mucking you guys around big time with 'the incident' but the actual developers lying cuts deep. I hope you prove me wrong but what you've said is exactly what the lead developer of No Man's Sky did. This wasn't some video recorded hanging out with some streamers and you got caught out, that I'd say 'yeah fair enough, just trying to maintain the positive imagine and maybe got caught off guard.' no, your team made these videos... "What's your point Sleepy?". BF2042 said "my bad" when they realised how much they screwed over their players, and they are making progress to correct that. I politely expect the same here and be bloody transparent, because you hid a heck off a lot before launch, you knew this was coming (thats why you set the recommended specs as the same as the NASA computer you tested the game on). This game will become great but I really hope it isn't because modders have to make it so and that trust does need to be regained. Consumers own the market, not developers nor publishers. I've played thousands of hours of KSP, dont get me wrong here, I spent an entire year playing KSP 1 with no internet on a laptop that ran it like a potato cooks in milk, only game that 'worked' (the laptop ran at like 20fps at best, laptop fault here). I'm not trying to burst anyones bubble but this kind of stuff has to stop right? If you were honest, I'd have supported you even more (just as hard as the replies to this comment will be haha). Prove me wrong, please, because this game does look good, and it sounds amazing. Just be honest from now on.
  2. Yeah I haven't had the issue since I've removed it. Hopefully this helps anyone else that has this problem.
  3. Yeah I am starting to suspect it might be the cause, another player has reported this on that mod's thread and appeared to have had done a lot of testing themselves to identify that mod as the issue. I've since removed it from my game and I haven't had the problem occur anymore (I've run a few missions since I removed it in my career game and I should of had the problem it at least once by now as it occured frequently enough for me piror). I'll keep playing and if it does occur again I'll let you know but it might be worth checking if removing that mod fixes the issue for you. Looks like the mod author is looking into it this too so if it is the cause, it probably won't be long before it is patched up.
  4. @DPOHbl4 Have you tried to replicate this by not using this mod? I am trying to replicate this issue, so far I can get it to occur roughly once every hour (makes testing very hard haha), the only common mods (mods each reported player has had active when the issue occured) have been 000_ClickThroughBlocker, 001_ToolbarControl, Scatterer and Mechjeb (this is not to say ANY of these mods is the issue but it helps determine whether it is a stock bug or not). I'd personally prefer it be a mod issue, I feel those are 'easier' to fix and the modders quick with the fixes. I've been hearing a lot of talk about it been a stock bug but I haven't been able to replicate the problem with no mods yet to be able to actually report it. Maybe PM me with a response, just so we aren't talking too off topic (this thread is for this mod afterall). Thank you!
  5. Worth a try so I'll give it a go! Especially if you are having this issue too and have Waterfall installed. Although the second poster Johnnyknowhow didn't report using Waterfall, only Mechjeb, Easy Vessel Switch and Scatterer are the only mods I have in common with them. Worth a try though, the issue doesn't happen very often, maybe every few hours? But often enough that it is making the game difficult to enjoy.
  6. @Frostiken Are you using any mods? I found some other issues too, such as parachutes not making the opening noise or no water splash sound, seems to be some kind of issue with the sound that's forsure. I am currently trying to recreate the issue in stock, no mods at all so I can be sure no mod is possibly causing the issue and do a report on the squad bugtracker. I was using the following before hand, if I can't recreate it at all I'll try and test a few of the common mods used by those who have reported it and see if maybe there is an issue there? Unless someone that plays stock can chime in and say they are having the issue too. I'll keep you guys posted haha! I am definitely praying it is a mod issue haha, that'll get fixed much faster. 7. Noticed this issue myself today, using about 15 mods, all very small, mainly quality of life stuff (like Easy Vessel Switch, RCS Build Aid, etc). Tried to fiddle around with various aspects to recover the audio in game but the only fix was to restart the game annoyingly. I really hope this doesn't take months to fix like the old audio bug with airbreathing engines, at least you could still hear those (albeit, the volume didnt adjust when you scrolled out away from the craft). Where's the best place to report bugs? Discord? Or this forum here? I'll go the extra miles and remove all my mods to try and replicate the bug if no one has offically reported it yet.
  8. Thank you very much for picking up this mod! I love using mining to give more purpose to bases/stations and this is a great way to make some income from it.
  9. I have an Nvidia card, modded game,1.8.1 and I haven't notice any crashes but I do get log spam of "d3d11: failed to create 2D texture shader resource view id=" followed by a string and [D3D error was 80070057] code. I noticed this leads to the game freezing but sounds still work fine, game seems to be running in the background. It only seems to do this if i leave the game sitting still for a little bit (if i leave my computer and come back after say 5 or 10 minutes). I haven't noticed this problem while playing normally. EDIT: I updated my Nvidia drivers to the latest (as of posting 04/12/19) and it does appear to have fixed the issue for me, the log isn't been spammed anymore. Hope that helps anyone else that might have a similar problem and uses Nvidia. EDIT2: Nope, looks like I'm still getting that issue, must be something on my side since I don't think anyone else is haven't it. Doesn't seem like it is consistent though.
  10. You're doing amazing work bud so no rush, life and work have to come first. Really appreciate the update though, this mod absolutely makes the game for me. Love your work!
  11. I just did some further testing and you are spot on but I've found and retested again, that once the bug is triggered from an air breathing engine for me, it seems to effect all engines, even rockets. So if i avoid air breathing engines I'm good but as soon as I've used one the game will be haunted by the issue. Definitely not a bad idea if realplume is making the issue worse, might be a good focus point. EDIT 15/02/20 The bug has been fixed in 1.9.0
  12. Unfortunately no, i deleted all my mods and did a clean install for 1.8 since it broke a lot of mods, I'll just have to wait for them to be updated. I was still getting the issue unfortunately, hopefully not just me though?
  13. I know Squad will eventually get to this but just so people are aware, 1.8 did not correct this issue, it is still persistent. The bug has been reported though, hopefully they get it during the next round of updates. https://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/23445
  14. Anyone have any luck with fixing this? I've noticed this issue myself recently, seems to occur with jet engines but once the issue triggers, it seems to effects all engines, even when tested with modded ones. So if i test a rocket engine before hand, it'll fade normally but as soon as I test a jet engine, the issue occurs for all engines. Hardly game breaking but still takes out of the immersion a little.
