Infinite Discoveries 0.9.9 (1.12.x)
RocketSimplicity replied to Sushut's topic in KSP1 Tools and Applications
Just confirming that I am also getting the same issue for whatever reason. Installed this mod, and a bunch of IVA ones (that were also working individually) after having OPM and Kcalbeloh installed, and them working fine previously. Worth noting I'm on 1.12.3. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yrC8XN0XWIrPav4kEaN_mlfS2XcIAxt2/view?usp=sharing -
[1.4.x] Ultimate Shuttle IVA - 1.0!! Woop Woop!
RocketSimplicity replied to G'th's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The GPC functionality on here certainly appears to be unique, with no other mod providing something truly like it for IVA's. It would certainly be nice if someone still working on the IVA mods could do a bit of a revival on this to fix those CRT's and bring back the Retro version's functionality. -
If you don't like the Orion, you don't have to use it. Personally I think it'd be useful being earlier on in the tech-tree (if there is one) given how we invented nukes at the same time as jet engines... Will be fun, albeit slightly unethical to use it on Kerbin. I doubt it'd have good efficiency though.

Developer Insights #11 – Engine Exhaust Visual Effects
RocketSimplicity replied to Intercept Games's topic in Dev Diaries
Looks amazing, I wonder how they’ll manage different engine exhausts overlapping at low pressures as the exhausts aren’t opaque. Looking miles ahead of KSP 1! -
Hi all, I am trying to setup my X56 to work with KSP. Unfortunately KSP does not differentiate by device for inputs, so pressing button 1 on my joystick will trigger whatever button 1 on my throttle is assigned to. I didn't have this problem before, as I had a T.Flight Hotas X, which both throttle and joystick are counted as one device, so all inputs are different. Do any of you know a program or way to get around this problem?

[1.8.x-1.12.x] - RasterPropMonitor (adopted)
RocketSimplicity replied to JonnyOThan's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hi, I discovered there was some functionality between KerbalVR and RPM. Everything works great in VR on a Rift S, all the instruments, panels, etc, all except for the HUD in some of the aviation cockpits. The HUD requires you to go crosseyed when viewing it in VR, which is somewhat uncomfortable. Is there a possibility you could add VR functionality for the HUD? -

totm nov 2023 SpaceX Discussion Thread
RocketSimplicity replied to Skylon's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Maybe they were planning from the start for that to be SN2's nosecone? -
So, I started a new career save, and so I did a contract which involved basically just walking around the KSC and doing EVA reports from the surface. For 50,000 . I, of course, being in the early game, accepted this contract. While walking around, I stumbled upon something I never expected to appear in KSP: Wow!

Which feature of KSP 2 attracts you the most?
RocketSimplicity replied to Xd the great's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I think having a ridiculously crazy and inconsistent game engine is what gives Kerbal character. It just wouldn’t be the same without the kraken! -
What are your quirky habits in KSP?
RocketSimplicity replied to Castille7's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Getting my manoeuver nodes as perfect as possible, even though knowing I have tons of extra fuel and I'm probably going to overshoot the burn anyway. -
I turned on every liquid-fuel rocket engine at once (using realplume) I made a reusable sounding rocket with a liquid-fuel first stage and a capsule with scientific experiments on top. Made with 0.675m parts using a spark engine. The first stage is reusable and nothing is thrown away on the capsule. Unlike many other reusable first stages, you can land the first stage and capsule at the same time. I forgot to screenshot it. Oh yeah, and this happened:

Show off your awesome KSP pictures!
RocketSimplicity replied to NuclearWarfare's topic in KSP Fan Works
My rendition of the Artemis 1 mission. I love the FOV options. Never thought booster separation would look beautiful, but... Arrival of the Koyuz, with KTS-3 waiting for it. Don't ask where the third solar array went... The south pole! Ummmm... Uhhhh... The un-destroyed North Polar Base! -
[Old] KSC Extended - v2.2 - Expanding your KSC in style!
RocketSimplicity replied to Damon's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Personally, I would've preferred the historical launch sites to be at the KSC, where they were, and have a base that mimics Vandenburg or the Guiana Space Centre. Then again, less launch pads at the KSC equals better performance.- 403 replies

Possibly Confirmed Features of KSP2
RocketSimplicity replied to mcwaffles2003's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
Oh no! Not lens flares! Can't we play the game as if we are looking through our own eyes and not a camera! This isn't star trek, this is Kerbal! -
[1.12.x] Probe Control Room Recontrolled
RocketSimplicity replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Strange. I didn't get a .dll file in my download. V 0.30.6 with this patch: (I don't know the name of this one) https://www.dropbox.com/s/jycdhbwzxkqcpyj/JSI-ksp181-fixes-2.zip?dl=1 Forum post for the patch: I really hope this mod gets fixed, because it's quite a good mod. EDIT: Hold on, I don't know if I have even installed RPM correctly. So you just drop in the JSI folder or do you only drop in the RPM folder within? I am pretty sure I did it right. -
I have been trying to use PCR recently with another IVA pack, DE_IVA and it hasn't been working correctly. You can find my struggles with it here and on the comments below it: It has many issues surrounding RPM and custom patches among other things. I'll check out these cockpits once I have access to my PC.

[1.12.x] Probe Control Room Recontrolled
RocketSimplicity replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@linuxgurugamer I played without DE_IVA and the mod still didn't work. I guess that rules out a DE_IVA error. Not on the toolbar, not on the probe. I also encountered several exceptions with MM, maybe that might be a clue on why it's not working. And here is the Player.log file, from the time I played without DE_IVA: https://www.dropbox.com/s/t23jtsm39ztbbhq/Player.log?dl=0 I hope this helps. -
[1.12.x] Probe Control Room Recontrolled
RocketSimplicity replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I will check in there. I didn't know it changed, and it is strange it's an output.log from quite a while ago. I wouldn't recommend looking at the log, as it's a very old one. I was suspicious that DE_IVA may have been causing this. -
[1.12.x] Probe Control Room Recontrolled
RocketSimplicity replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@linuxgurugamer, I have an issue where Probe Control Room does not work at all. It doesn't crash my game or anything, it just doesn't come up in-game. KSP: 1.8.1 Windows 64 bit Problem: Probe Control Room doesn't work. Mods installed: Probe Control Room 1.2.3 Module Manager 4.1.1 Kerbal Alarm Clock 3.12 Sci-Fi Visual Enhancements scatterer PlanetShine DPAI MechJeb 2 Kerbal Launch Faliure Kerbal Engineer Raster Prop Monitor With This Patch ^ HullCam VDS DE_IVA Extension EVE Astrogator ASET Props Toolbar Control Toolbar ClickThroughBlocker All mods are fully up to date. Reproduction steps: Get any probe core, and no mention of Probe Control Room appears. No toolbar, no "c" to get in, no right click on core, no IVA appears. Log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bzoq1ig6wtnjyik/output_log.txt?dl=0 Output_log.txt I'm not sure if this has to do with DE_IVA or not, because they have a configuration for this mod. It may have something to do with 1.8.1 vs 1.8 possibly. -
totm nov 2023 SpaceX Discussion Thread
RocketSimplicity replied to Skylon's topic in Science & Spaceflight
And now it's gone down. They made a mistake obviously. -
That would be pretty cool. You could also do Spacex like shots.
-
The stuff I have heard and seen from devs says that the cockpit is "interactive" and the cockpits look far more advanced than in the current game. It probably wouldn't be hard to make a game mode out of this, but I think this would be better as a game difficulty option. If it ends with this not being implemented I'm sure the mod devs will add it. You can do this is the current game with DE_IVA, ASET Props, Probe Control Room and Hullcam VDS combined.

I remember there used to be a thread where people discussed other space games in general, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Let's talk about space games in general! Not focusing on any in particular, just general discussion of space games (i.e should I get this game, Game1 vs Game2), etc I'm thinking of starting to play Space Engineers on my PC. Any advice? Also, should I get No Man's Sky, Elite: Dangerous or Star Citizen? Or something else?
