Just a little tip for ya while I'm working on my 1:2 scale Antonov AN-225 replica (Which refuses to be finished). If your making an extremely complex aircraft (in this case over 1000 parts), build it in chunks such that you can easily make adjustments! It also makes strutting much easier.

How is it that you have the old ram air intakes? Is this an older version? did you get them from a mod? Are they still in the game's code and you just did shenanigans to get them? Did you or did you not give Val brain damage?

So I decided to dip my toes in 1.4 again and.... they... they fixed the fairings... Take Two you have officially won me back. Now my craft look better than ever!

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
Kronus_Aerospace replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The numbers KER shows are your position in your orbit around whatever planet you're at relative to the planet's orbit around Kerbol. So that's what you use to determine where in your orbit to do the transfer burn basically. To find when you are at the correct phase angle you either have to do it by hand and measure it out, or use a mod like Transfer Window Planner, which as of right now does not work for 1.4. Or, you could just eyeball it which works just fine if you have some wiggle room in your delta-V. -
I'm beginning to think I use the Communotron DTS-M1 as an aesthetic component just a little bit too much.

Without question, the world has just a lost a visionary scientist and a good man... He outlived his life expectancy by 50 years and made great contributions to the field of cosmology. Stephen Hawking will not soon nor ever be forgotten. I just wish it didn't have to happen today.

My 1:2 scale Antonov AN-225 is now almost complete. This started out as a fun little project, but ended up being almost as much work as my original 1:1 scale version. It also ended up being 100 more parts somehow. However, I think it shows! There is only a bit of tweaking left to do and I will post the craft file.

My 1:2 scale Antonov AN-225 Replica is totally done guys for real no joke.

The new engine exhaust smoke looks... Interesting...

Any of Y'all ever managed to send a 15 kiloton payload into LKO? Me neither, but I'm sure as hell gonna try!
-
I don't know what you're talking about that was a flawless landing.

This pretty much sums up my feelings for 1.4 https://giphy.com/gifs/69kU2fwBzzSesCrX5A I don't know how to show Gifs...

Oh! Don't worry you can just shell out 15 bucks to get the Soyuz parts in the Making History DLC. Ain't that just great.

believe it or not I'm actually getting 3-4 fps. And that's with a 2.5 GHz processor. Side effects of launching may or may not include nuclear winter

This colossus of a rocket is (mostly) finished! Coming in at just over 51 kilotons in mass and containing roughly the same energy as 4 Hiroshima bombs this is the largest rocket I have yet produced. I honestly didn't know if I could do it when I started, but I have successfully built a rocket capable of carrying 10 kilotons into LKO, and it only took 2076 parts!
-
FAN-FREAKING TASTIC, my favorite craft looks hideous now... thanks Take Two
-
Ayyyy, nice job! Figuring out how to build SSTO'S is a pretty big step! Nice looking craft btw, looks alot better than the abomination my first SSTO was!
-
It turns out that the rocket fuel in this game is actually very comparable to TNT. After using the thrust and burn time of the second stage I figured out that it contained the equivalent energy of a 10 Kiloton nuclear weapon. Considering that the second stage has a mass of 11 kilotons that's almost a 1:1 energy ratio.
-
Well, This is all the work I'm doing tonight. The second stage is now complete, and the craft is sitting pretty at 1040 parts with absolutely no autostrutting! I'll get that 10 kiloton payload into LKO yet!
-
Today I am going to TRY to get this 10 KILOTON mass into LKO. Wish me luck boys.

This craft was the result of me just messing around. I was attempting to make an aircraft that was as unconventional as possible, and instead what I created is by far the most maneuverable jet that I have yet produced. This craft can easily pull 30g maneuvers Download: https://kerbalx.com/Kronus_Aerospace/Kronus-BT-2-Dreizack Craft Mass: 14.63 tonnes Part Count: 69 Preformance: -Rotation Speed: 60 m/s -Max Speed SL: 271.6 m/s -Cruising Altitude: 4000m -Max Speed CRZ ALT: 274.4 m/s -Max Dive Speed: 348 m/s -Maneuverability: Extreme -Stall Speed: 20 m/s
