  1. Err, I cannot access the links? Did you update your computer before crashing? And the links opened one of my apps. Seriously?
  2. Human rating propulsive landing will be a pain, and human rating propulsive landing for NASA is a pain in the. Plus doing so will divert the resources and time from bfr to dragon 2, which is an intermediate product for funding the bfr.
  3. The cost of a orbiral flight is 7 million for the bfr. For suborbital hops the heat shield can probably be swapped for something cheaper and lighter, so i say 6.5 million per hop. Still, there is the concern of aborting in flight, but whatever. Then, you have to worry about the payload. The orbital payload is somewhere like 145t, so for suborbital it will be higher. Assuming a passenger with luggage, supplies(snacks and water), and his/her chair is 100kg, you get 1500 passengers per hop. Cost per ticket will be about $4300. Quite expensive. As for suicide burns, the bfr can probably be able to land at 1.3g if necessary, which is probably what you experience on a rollercoaster.
  4. Tbh, i dont think gimballing is needed on stage 2. They have rcs for deorbitong the stage, anyway.
  5. They clip the rocket to the pad. Using giant clips, of course.
  6. Well, the soyuz rocket is pretty reliable in terms of the crew not dying... Mental traumas and physocal injuries ignored. Still, they should probably upgrade the production line.
  7. I thought they land bowl side up. So yeah, rainwater collection even on mr steven landing.
  8. Well, it was highly survivable. Not too bad when u wanna live and go home, and sabotage something that makes you live. What if the hole is made by a drill bit rotating in space?
  9. Dude, who will board when you can just use a missile to blow ships up?
  10. The bfr is a good start. Or, use a falcon heavy boosted space shuttle, with modifications to the ship to use vacuum optimised engines. And use more space for fuel tanks.
  11. Wait, so if a dragon 2 aborted, they will not have enough fuel to dock with the ISS.
  12. Wait, dragon uses its superdracos and dracos for manouvering? Call me ignorant, but i never knew that.
  13. Food poisoning is the obvious choice. Or installing accelerometers backward. Ahem, proton M.
  14. The aerodynamics of bfr is really hard, and the composite material...
  15. I doubt if it is a bug. Try to decrease the bomb drop rate, aka rpm. Maybe you should have pmed the devs.
  16. Can you try to fire manually and see the aiming marker when the guns are locked in position?
  17. Yep. But you can always copy and paste the savegames to both copies of the game. After you play.
  18. They will set a mining colony on mars. The bfs cannot go from LEO to Mard and back without refueling. I am interested about the abort procedure. How will they have a free return trajectory from mars in case something apollo 13 happens?
