  1. I play in Career mode and this was actually one of my contracts about a month ago (real time); put a Class D asteroid in orbit of Minmus. It's currently 415t (mined it a bit): That's a lander at the bottom that brought along a claw to attach and refuel. The miner is on the right side of the asteroid. On the left is an alternate dock with solar panels and RCS and currently attached to that is a refueling vessel that is basically an orange tank with two Nerv engines.
  2. If you use the SENTINEL IR telescope on a craft orbiting the sun between Dres and Jool, I think you should be able to detect asteroids that intersect Jool’s orbit. I used aerobraking on an asteroid at Kerbin and timewarped it through about 30 orbits before it got low and hot enough to explode (I was just messing around, but it was cool). So it can work if you don’t put it too low in the atmosphere.
  3. There will be now! Those sound like good rover names. Thanks!
  4. I started playing in Sep 2018 on my Xbox so I don’t know what version that’s equivalent to. I know we are a couple versions behind (just got Making History last month, yay!) but it’s great to play on my big screen.
  5. My Duna vessels are mostly named after the Dune novels - Shaihulud, Shadout Mapes, etc. My Dres probe is named “Dresiarnez” because that tickled me. I guess I’ll name future Dres vessels Dresilu, HeyLucy, ImHome, etc (if you get this you are old).
  6. Once I separated from my Mun station, plotted a return trip to Kerbin for the next orbit, and after I hit the engines I said, “Oh look, I’ll be flying right past the station-“ Blam! Right into it. Think I killed a kerbal in the Cupola (rocket was unmanned delivering science back to Kerbin), but I was so freaked out I immediately reloaded the last save.
  7. My wife made me a mun cake for my birthday, so I joined this forum to share it with those who would appreciate it (other than our boys who appreciated eating it): My son said it was Minmus because that is the dessert moon, but clearly it is the Mun. Here it is with the candles: It was a delicious lemon cake and the "rocks" are rock candy. My wife didn't make the Kerbal - that's from Rinyrinri on Etsy. It's a Christmas ornament.
