@FleshJeb Very interesting, I'll look into that. Thank you.
-
I'll just add it to my list of stuff I probably shouldn't be doing. At least until I become addicted to something actually productive.
-
@fulgur A) I don't have time for this... ooo, it worked... one more line.... B) and this is my biggest hangup... I don't know how i feel about learning a language that only works in KSP.
-
@fulgur I was learning, (was makeing an idle game for andoid) but KSP took that time slot. I do need to actually learn. And now I want to go back to learning how to code.
-
@fulgur You want me to replace all the AI's "personality" with actual code?

SRAS Continuum 6: E.L.E. Whelp... That's the end of this series. I could do more, but it's becoming less fun and more work. Thanks for following along.

@fulgur Well the shuttle challenge is interesting. There are two of them (one now) attached to a transfer stage in orbit above Laythe. I was going to post a panel about how it works, but I just want to get this series finished. I'm tired of it and I've got something i really want to do waiting for this to be done... Where is it going? Next panel.

@fulgur it's a seaplane with little tiny rockets to help it de-orbit.

No... I was wrong. The Gull is not an SSTO. I took a weeklong break between building it and playing this save... my memory failed me again. Wait... what challenge?

Actually, the Gull (Pictured above) is an SSTO. Not a great one, but probably my first working SSTO. That is NOT an SSTO, I am a moron... I did take the time to peruse your listings though, cool stuff.

Probably going to quit this. I am enjoying the career mode, but I'm not so thrilled with the "build things cheap" Mentality. I've had a concept in my head for a while now and I think I now know how to pull it off. But first, I want to finish the main story of Orbital Negligence

KaC Mission 6.1: Science from Mun and Space Launch of the Mun-Sci-1 has gone off without a hitch. Aaaaannnnd... It's veering off coarse. What the Hell? Booster packs have been dropped. I'm told that this is necessary and is not a waste of money. I'm told a lot of things I don't agree with. Complete and total failure of the mission. I hope you're happy Pilot-2, you really messed this one up. I've just been informed that the failure of the Mun-Sci-1 was a Engineering error and I am contractually not allowed to blame the Pilot. Financial Statement Starting Funds: $770,580 Advances: $6,375(Space), $23,288(Mun) Costs: -$27,623 R&D Costs: KV-2 “Pea” -$3,000 R&D Costs: Z-100 Battery -$800 R&D Costs: Sm Reaction Wheel -$3,200 R&D Costs: EAS-4 Strut -$2,800 Vehicle assembly building upgrade -$337,500 Completion Awards: $16,362(Space), $62,618(Mun) Failed Extras: 3.4 Science Recovery Reimbursement: $17,838 Final Funds: $412,974 Mission Notes: Complete Failure, Engineers have been fired. Positions are now available. Due to quick thinking by Pilot-2, the entire Munar lander was saved.

KaC Mission 5.1: Survey at Bobak’s Resignation This new and untested plane has a rocket engine on its rear to propel the Pilot to new heights. What are you doing Pilot-2? The plane is not suppose to do that. At least you have the good sense to save the equipment. You're still fired. Reducing damage won't save your job. Financial Statement Starting Funds: $227,051 Advances: $6,952 Costs: -$12,970 R&D Costs: FL-T200 Fuel Tank -$2,500 Completion Awards: $152,897 (Failed) Extras: 15.5 Science Recovery Reimbursement: $12,595 Final Funds: $231,128 Mission Notes: I've just be informed that we can't fire Pilots for Engineering mistakes. By the way, we have an opening for a new engineer.

KaC Mission for Science: Run Tests in Space Another one of those expensive but oh so necessary Science runs. Separating the stages is cringe worthy, but I'm told that not separating is why Pilot-1 died. If the Parachutes burn up, we lose the booster. And Pilot-2 gets fired. Pilot-2 has displayed the appropriate equipment procedures yet again. Yay Pilot-2. And there you see the booster gently coming down. Then some Idiot in mission control hit the time warp and the booster accelerated into the ground. He's fired by the way. And now we here at 'Kerbals are Cheap' have a job opening. Please apply online. Financial Statement Starting Funds: $176,482 Advances: $0 Costs: -$9,282 R&D Costs: BACC “Thumper” -$2,800 R&D Costs: TD-12 Decoupler -$1,600 Completion Awards: $0 Extras: 46.8 Science Recovery Reimbursement: $6,290 Final Funds: $227,051 Mission Notes: Time Warp makes gently falling debris explode. Also, where did all this money come from, do they pay us for contracts we didn’t take?

KaC Mission 3.3: Survey, Attempt #3 Ok Pilot-2. This is the run Pilot-1 failed so miserably at. Don't fail us. It is a simple task. Fly to the marker and do a report. How Pilot-1 failed is beyond me. He didn't have a plane, but he still failed. Wait? Your done already. Well, well Pilot-2. You landed nicely and even got extra science. Are you trying for a raise? Because you're not getting one. Financial Statement Starting Funds: $169,382 Advances: $0 Costs: -$13,125 R&D Costs: Mk1 Cockpit -$2,600 R&D Costs: Km0 LF Fuselage -$3,000 R&D Costs: J-20 Juno Engine -$2,000 R&D Costs: Sm Circular Intake -$3,000 R&D Costs: Tail Connector A -$2,800 R&D Costs: Swept Wings -$3,600 R&D Costs: Tail Fin -$3,800 R&D Costs: LY-01 Landing Gear -$500 R&D Costs: LY-05 Landing Gear -$1,500 R&D Costs: Elevon 1 -$3,200 Completion Awards: $12,398 Extras: 13.4 Science Recovery Reimbursement: $12,826 Final Funds: $156,921 Mission Notes: Planes work better than Rockets for distance low altitude work. KaC Mission 4: Survey at Crislie’s Recklessness Another well done mission Pilot-2. You're on the mark for Pilot of the year. Financial Statement Starting Funds: $156,921 Advances: $6952 Costs: -$13,053 R&D Costs: -$0 Completion Awards: $12,765 Extras: 2.7 Science Recovery Reimbursement: $xxx Final Funds: $176,482 Mission Notes: Pilot-2 gets to use the bean bag chair in the break room.

KaC Mission For Science: Gather High Altitude Science Ok Pilot-2. Hope you're better than Pilot-1 was. Nice launch, but I know better than to think a good launch means a good Pilot. Pilot-2 is taking data readings from a High Altitude location. We don't like funding these expeditions, but sometimes they are necessary. You better not ruin the vessel like Pilot-1 did. Ahh. Nice and smooth. Decent job Pilot-2. Keep that up and you might actually get your cost of living raise. Financial Statement Starting Funds: $170,998 Advances: $0 Costs: -$8,035 R&D Costs: .625m Heat Shield -$600 R&D Costs: Mk12-R Drogue Chute -$600 Completion Awards: $0 Extras: 33.5 Science Recovery Reimbursement: $7,619 Final Funds: $169,382 Mission Notes: Pilot-2 is far more competent than Pilot-1 was.

KaC Mission 3.2: Survey, Attempt #2 Our techs assure us that this model has the capability to make it to the survey site. Pilot-1, your launch is far better than last time. I guess you can learn from your mistakes. WTH Pilot-1. We didn't have the contract for going suborbital... You now owe us for that contract! Pretty pictures won't get you out of paying Pilot-1. You are Damaging the Equipment! Total loss of vessel. RIP Pilot-1. Hope your children can work off your debt to us. Financial Statement Starting Funds: $120,620 Advances: $0 Costs: -$3,822 R&D Costs: PresMat Barometer -$2,200 R&D Costs: RT-10 “Hammer” -$1,200 Completion Awards: $12,398 (Failed again) Extras: 0 Science Recovery Reimbursement: $0 Final Funds: $170,998 Mission Notes: Pilot-1, You’re fired. And your family owes us money.
