  1. Yep, we actually debated punting 1.10.1 to stable, but agreed we should have control over Joolian style shaders first. It is pretty stable otherwise. No new bugs.
  2. It's probably a shader issue. Any thoughts, team? @BIOZ
  3. There was a small hotfix to the CKAN release candidate fixing the following bugs: 1.) Fixed a texture path bug that caused slightly desaturated gas giants. It's been there for a while and is only cosmetic. Still, now it's fixed if you care. Download at the usual place: https://github.com/prestja/Kopernicus/releases We won't consider that one tiny, cosmetic only fix a stopper to CKAN. It's fixed anyways.
  4. Just FYI, there is a new release after that that fixes a crash bug on pretty much every pack but this one... lol. Best to just link this page which always has latest release I think: https://github.com/R-T-B/Kopernicus/releases Oh, and stable branch has this fix too. Yep, you can load now and enjoy the mod stock.
  5. Yeah, I was worried about that, hence we labeled all previous releases at github as "prereleases" so they aren't even indexed anymore by default. But googling and stumbling across them on the forum is possible. At any rate, we already made a release so it's a little late. In the future the stable branch will be getting far slower updates, so it won't really be an issue again. Bleeding edge will be incrementing it's version number into eternity to avoid confusion, much like a build number it will probably be in the hundreds someday. I'm also going to go back and delete the old prereleases right now to prevent this situation (if anyone really needs one, they can PM me and I can get it).
  6. I run with 32GBs and don't come close, you must have a insane modslist (not that that's a bad thing!)
  7. Yep, the last fix was a BIT too happy about throwing out an exception for no good reason. It was an easy fix. We have enough logspam, last thing we need is unneccesary game crashes because a shaders name isn't what it expected (that's literally all it was).
  8. @Sir Mortimer, As you may or may not know, Kopernicus is approaching a stable release. We know you replace our solar panels, and that's perfectly fine for what you do... However as both a Kopernicus dev and avid Kerbalism player, it makes me sad that I cannot use our swanky new multiple lightsource/stellar body support inroduced in release 1.9.1 (currently in a release candidate phase, soon to be stable). I know nothing about the Kerbalism code, so some of this may be naive and/or just plain silly, but how hard would it be to make these two work together somehow without Kopernicus making Kerbalism a hard dependency? I see a few ways forward, knowing nearly nothing about your side of things: 1.) Kopernicus updates our panel code to be Kerbalism aware in some form, and you can stop replacing our panels because they'll work with you. 2.) Kerbalism keeps replacing the panel-modules as it always has, but you integrate your own multistar code (I could maybe make a PR) so it is then multistar aware. Which of these is better, you think? Do you have a desire to pursue this? I'd be willing to make most of the code and do most of the legwork, either way. EDIT: I just had a read at the wiki, do you already suppport multiple light sources? If so, bravo!
  9. Incoming bugfix for a game-loading crash on texture packs using that shader, thanks (it's actually a pretty common shader!) That log was straight to the point and led to a fix. Kopernicus R-T-B Unified "Bleeding Edge" Edition Release 16 R-T-B released this now This is R-T-B's "Bleeding Edge" branch of Kopernicus, intended to support the latest features, KSP editions, and also the latest bugs. Please keep in mind this branch may be more buggy than Prestja's mainline Kopernicus branch, but it also supports more KSP versions and has more features implemented for testing reasons. Many features that make it into mainline Kopernicus are born, tested, and trialed by fire here. This is release 16. It contains the following changes: 1.) Fixed the diffuse shader crashing the game when used, again. Known Bugs: 1.) Right now? Nothing big! Famous last words? Please download the right output zip for your version. "191" zips are for 1.9.1, "1101" for 1.10.1, etc. Thanks and as always, report bugs! -RTB I should also note, the release candidate at stable branch is at the moment, is in feature parity with this minus the support for 1.10.1. You may want to look at it if wanting a reliable experience now, it's in release candidate status for CKAN.
  10. Wow, that's interesting for sure. Maybe I bundled the wrong binary (like for 1.10.1). Let me check the uploads, because that should not be happening... lol. Can you post the requested logs? Just to be sure.
  11. The latest release also has a fix for that bug, in both stable (here) and bleeding edge. Never heard of it happening in 1.9.1, but it's fixed either way in the code now. Sorry for missing your post @HawkEngineer And just so no ones confused, when we go CKAN, the numbering of releases will start over at 1 again. It's weird I know, but CKAN releases are going to be few and far between, hence the release candidate above is correctly numbered at 1. Sort of like old Kopernicus.
  12. Do I smell a CKAN release candidate? https://github.com/prestja/Kopernicus/releases/tag/release-1.9.1-1-CKAN Given 2 days of no bugs, we are very likely going to see this on CKAN. Wish us luck, but obviously, still post bugs if you find them!
  13. Kopernicus R-T-B Unified "Bleeding Edge" Edition Release 15 R-T-B released this 30 seconds ago This is R-T-B's "Bleeding Edge" branch of Kopernicus, intended to support the latest features, KSP editions, and also the latest bugs. Please keep in mind this branch may be more buggy than Prestja's mainline Kopernicus branch, but it also supports more KSP versions and has more features implemented for testing reasons. Many features that make it into mainline Kopernicus are born, tested, and trialed by fire here. This is release 15. It contains the following changes: 1.) Fixed the diffuse shader (required for packs like EventHorizon to load properly). Known Bugs: 1.) Right now? Nothing big! Famous last words? Please download the right output zip for your version. "191" zips are for 1.9.1, "1101" for 1.10.1, etc. Thanks and as always, report bugs! -RTB This release is being bumped to stable in it's 1.9.1 form later today, thanks. It may well be our CKAN release candidate.
  14. If users with asteroid bugs could let me know if that last build fixes them, I'd be appreciative. I'm particularly interested in stock scenarios, with SENTINEL contracts and tracking. If it's good, we may push this branch to a stable release soon. Heck this code may end up on CKAN if all goes well, it's not getting many bug reports at all. @Lucas Kerman
  15. It might. I've never actually confirmed what causes it. It MIGHT be a scatterer bug. But the newer shader files can't hurt.
  16. Glad to do so! As mentioned in my release thread, it's a lot to do on my own, so help is welcome! Thanks for the contributions! EDIT: You have a pending invite. Only thing I ask is that you make your work in a separate branch before a release, where possible, to prevent overlaps. That should be easy on github. And if it's too complicated, no biggie either as I likely won't do much but update builds.
  17. Nah, I'm busy but never too busy for questions. It's the people who want immediate updates who get me... You'll generally want to install these alongside a texture pack of some kind. If you really want the old stock eve Config (it's pretty dated), I believe this release has it bundled and should work: https://github.com/WazWaz/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/releases/download/EVE-1.2.2-1/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements-Configs-1.2.2.1.zip He beat me to it, but yeah, Spectra is the non murdery one for FPS. Still looks pretty darn good too. Astronomers is gorgeous but at least in my experience, can tank a system hard. All strictly my opinion, of course.
  18. Ooh, nice. Thanks! I'll grab the release for the despawn fix too.
  19. Have a pull request on the footprints now, for them applying everywhere despite configs.
  20. I wish it were that simple. I have a paypal I could accept donations at, but my favorite beverage is out in my local town! At any rate, I'm hesitant to ask for donations and not even sure the forums allow for such. Not only that, but I do this for myself first and others second, so donations won't really affect the work. Something to keep in mind. My kerbal game breaking along with all of yours? That'll probably motivate me to fix something... We need to play, afterall.
  21. These are maintanance (AKA bugfix) releases for Environmental Visual Effects, AKA EVE. You can read more about it (assuming you don't know what it is) at the previous maintainers thread here (Thanks @Waz!): Some important FAQ to start us off: 1.) Why "Maintanance Releases?" A.) Because people needed this updated and no one else was available to do so. I really really didn't need another project on my plate with being a full Kopernicus dev, and make no mistake, this is the bottom of my priority totem pole. But if no one else had a working build (and pretty much no one else did), I figured I'd post what I had. This mod is important to KSP, and until someone else picks it up I will keep it running as best as I am able. That said, PLEASE BE PATIENT and please DO NOT request new features, ONLY REPORT BUGS IN EXISTING ONES! I simply haven't the time. 2.) Ok, so you want someone to fork this? A.) Yes, please. But only if you can actually keep it up. Otherwise I just have to come back. @Waz did great for a long time, so use him as a standard example of what I'd expect. 3.) So what did you fix? A.) Clouds were horribly broken in 1.9 and 1.10 as you rose in altitude. Plumes from rockets also blended with them. Both those bugs have been fixed by myself. I also integrated some fixes to the terrain shader from @BIOZ, who deserves a serious gold star for his work. Scenes from orbit/scaledspace look better than ever now with the right terrain pack, IMO. I also made sure both 1.9.x and 1.10.x still run with the 1.10 builds, if you need 1.8.x @Waz's build works fine. 4.) Gimme screenshot! Ok fine. Here is a random picture from "above the clouds" EVE running with Astronomers Visual Pack, which I heartily recommend if you want both beauty and to murder your FPS. Uses EVE! Note I have tweaked the sun in my system to be more orange in line with a class G star, and that said mod also uses Scatterer, another awesome visual tool for your toolbelt. There is probably some parts packs and maybe even a plume mod in there too, but hey, you wanted a picture. 4.) Gimme download! Below, friend: Latest releases: https://github.com/R-T-B/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements/releases Source code (OSS MIT License with minor exceptions as stated in the source at github): https://github.com/R-T-B/EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
  22. Ah, that's cool. I completely understand given the state of the world right now. Have fun, relax, and thanks for what you did manage. And I got stock comets working shortly after I wrote that btw, so sort of doesn't matter anyways, lol. I hope you don't mind if I fork KopernicusExpansion in the meantime, I may try to fix a few bugs I already have pull requests on.
  23. I'm not on reddit much so can't really help there. But I can assure you the zip format is not related to the issue with white atmospheres. It's just how he chose to compress his file. I'd be willing to bet some cards could be having an issue with the latest scatterer causing white atmospheres though. That would certainly be a bug worth looking into.
