  1. And they say that your spent stages cause "space pollution" that blocks light from Kerbol and kills the dessert penguins. They then go on to say that according to 'science' or whatever that means, Kerbin will be uninhabitable in 65 years if space pollution continues. They then say that everyone needs to switch to the temporarily more expensive but ultimately cheaper 'ssto's'. Why do the space polar bears even matter? After all, we'll all be dead by then, so we should keep using are dirty expendable rockets and let our kids worry about kolonizing Laythe.
  2. In order to make ksp work on mobile you would have to water it down so much that it's just a ksp themed sfs. If course sfs is actually a lot of fun, so it might work. Also, I actually prefer sfs to sr2. Procedural pars are tedious enough on pc, much less mobile. And the simplicity and performance benefits of 2d make it more suited to mobile that 3d. However, I could totally get behind a 2.5d mobile ksp, if the scenery wasn't lackluster like in sfs, and it was well optimized.
  3. Ok, I have thought about it further and decided that their proportions don't change when they go dormant, they just stop using energy and go into a deep sleep, but unlike hibernation their bodies are designed to pretty much die everywhere except for a very small region of their body that stores energy by creating chemicals from food and photosynthesis while alive. They eat, not for energy but the chemicals in their food, and their "teeth" actually extract preservative chemicals in their food. Once an internal clock in the energy storing part of their body finishes, the energy in the "battery" is used to start a chain reaction that revives the Kerbal. This battery can hold enough charge to revive that Kerbal for 140 years of it starts full (Kerbals need 70% charge to revive,) but if they are revived by an external source they could in theory hibernate indefinitely.
  4. I do the same thing. No one should ever leave installs in steam or program files, it will only cause problems.
  5. I'm pretty sure that when you take the steam install out of the steam folder it behaves like a regular install. I bought from steam and have multiple separate instances. The only difference is that you have to run ckan as an administrator for it to work, but that's because steam is in programfiles (x86).
  6. No, they don't shrivel up. The just become green cubes!
  7. One of the loading screens shows an ice cream like container with the Jeb's junkyard logo. This supports the ice cream hypothesis. My best guess is that Kerbals photosynthesize for energy, use a paste for nutrients, and can shrivel up like tardigrades, but can live for hundreds of millions of years in this mostly dead state, before being killed/unrevivable due to radiation, gravity, physics or a combination of these. This theory explains: immortal Kerbals, the wide variety of snacks, all to give nutrients, it explains the paste, oreos, and cubes.
  8. Actually, that wouldn't be that bad, at least it would be an 80 series card, rather than the 60 series card I have now. I'm fact when I do upgrade my video card it will probably be a 1080 or 1670 (when it exists) since 2080ti's are really expensive, and as with most tech things, the returns diminish exponentially the more you spend (e.g. An 800 dollar phone does 90% of the things a 1400 dollar phone can do, and a 600 dollar gpu can do most of the things a 1600 dollar gpu can do. I wish people would be awed that I have thwarted the game.
  9. I liked the new star wars and thought that the prequels were passable (don't tell my parents.)
  10. Update to enhanced edition simulator:
  11. Flat Kerbin Mün hoax: Kerbin is now flat and infinite in the north, south, east and west directions, and the Mün has no gravity or collision. Everything orbits Minmus in the same orbit, and Kerbin is fixed in place above that orbit. Bop is 10 times the size and 100000 times that mass of Kerbol. Kerbin has almost no surface gravity, about 0.00001 m/s2 .
  12. Don't worry, this soup costs 42 dollars. Waiter, my soup says it apologizes for the inconvenience.
  13. Really cool mod: a really cool mod that's exactly what your looking for, except it doesn't work. One planet that breaks eve and scatterer: a planet mod that does what's in the name. 1010% costs, 10-10% rewards, 10-10% science: For JNSQ players. Log spammer: hate how clean your log is, get this mod that will spam errors. Also has the option to crash your game, cause a bsod, and brick your computer. Enhanced edition simulator: sets toggle sas, rcs, max, and min throttle to press alt, and attitude controls, throttle up/down, and translation controls to press f4. Reccomends log spammer and oneminiavc (coming soon!)
  14. Granted, you run 100 ksp instances with 10000 parts ships that explode in the pad on your Linux computer, getting your cpu to 100000k. I wish my pc had an RTX 2080ti (and I get to use it.)
  15. Granted. I wish I didn't have to get out of bed right now.
