  1. Why are the all the oldest threads in the lounge locked?
  2. https://www.amazon.com/Revell-Germany-Apollo-Saturn-Rocket/dp/B00G7G4EPI They did lift text from other sites.
  3. Granted, you could visit them, if the system wasnt rss scale. I wish the annoying fly in my room would go away.
  4. Hopefully the bumblebee rotor will be well sized enough to do a small ingenuity, however would be willing to have ingenuity off-scale and just do a kerbalized version, which is what I planned anyway. I can't find pictures, but it looks like the Duna blades are bumblebee scale, so they are probably even larger than the breaking ground ones. Try messing with the blade pitch. Yeah, I really didn't want to do it, but I think that tweak scale may be required even with mods. Oh well, if anyone here has modding skills it would be nice to have the smallest blades, rotors, probodyne qbe, smallest circular batteries and struts scaled down by a factor of 5.
  5. This should help. Here are some other mods I use for rovers: and the breaking ground expansion.e Ingenuity: Adds Duna optimized rotor, however it's rotors are a little unrealistic an overpowered in comparison to the breaking ground ones.
  6. Has anyone else seen @ShadowZones replica. Its... Big. That'll be hard to top without mods!
  7. Try using the 1.9 version of eve (environmental visual enhancements and the most recent version of scatterer. It works in 1.10.0 but I haven't played 1.10.1 yet. Also the config is in the right place. Because your using mods that don't support the latest version it may be best to wait till they update. Once they all update to the latest version just install astronomers visual pack from ckan and it will automatically install eve and scatterer. But like I said try installing the 1.9 version of eve. Also like I have said, make sure there is not a gamedata inside avp, which it looks like there may be due to it having a version number. Make sure the filepath is like this: kerbalspaceprogram > gamedata > avp And not this: kerbalspaceprogram > gamedata > avp > gamedata > avp If it is like that than move kerbalspaceprogram > gamedata > avp > gamedata > avp to game data and delete the cap with a gamedata inside. Be reassured though, I'm 90% confident that doing this will fix it.
  8. First rendezvous, it was the first thing I did that challenged me more than setting up my first Mün encounter, like the Mün encounter its now routine.
  9. I have only done one mission out of Kerbin's soi, a Duna mission so over engineered that it would work in jnsq! I have plans for a Duna surface to lko crew and cargo transporter that can carry 6 crew. I also have plans for Duna exploration including nerva powered gliders wit a nose mounted parachute for vtol. A great plan for a realistic looking easy to launch surface base, and a few small short distance transfer rovers. There will also be an isru station for the plane, and it will use the landers isru to refuel.bAnd lariat the surface base. Most of the tech will be a simple as possible and designed to be a capable for Laythe, most importantly the base and Duna surface to lko transport vehicle, which will have a high thrust engine less version with more fuel for lko to llo transportation.
  10. Started in late 2014, not sure which version that was though. I never played seriously until early 2019. In 1.8 I did docking for the first time, but that was because I had started watching YouTube videos rather than relying on flawed stock tutorials. I stuck with 1.8 until 1.10 came out and will probably convert my 1.8 install to a scaled up beyond home save or a jnsq save. I can now do pretty much any mission, admittedly I will underestimate my piloting an over budget a lot.
  11. 7/10 points removed for no apparent atmosphere or canyons, also, not a fan of the craters.
  12. Wait, ksp2 is in my soup! Waiter where did my soup go!!
  13. Granted, but your duck finds a mate, so you now have 9 ducks. I wish squad would do feature votes. (Like the minecon biome votes)
  14. Also, if this is the first time you've installed mods manually, make sure the filepath is ksp/gamedata/astronomersvisualpack not ksp/gamedata/astronomersvisualpack/gamedata/astronomersvisualpack or similar, most important is that there are not two gamedatas. However, because something happened to it lookes like you installed the wrong version of scatterer, so you should check for updates or install it from ckan, also can we see a screenshot of your gamedata, your version and platform, and a screenshot of the issue.
  15. Nothing much. Maybe we can talk about our first saves, or what to talk about! Sigh, it's late again.
  16. 33. Build a Tylo lander. 34. Unbuild a Tylo lander with help from Tylo. 35. Build working Eve ascent vehicle. 36. Modify Eve ascent vehicle to land on Eve. 37. Test Eve ascent vehicle and find out it can't later get off Eve. 38. Revert to older version of lander and moar heatshilds! 39. Give up because of lag. 40. Admit defeat and download lander from Kerbalx. 41. Unadmit defeat and start over with minimalist low mass Eve lv philosophy. 42. Strap on heat shields and test. 43. Do successful test, celebrate, turn off ksp and forget lander exists.
  17. No, I do the start before maneuver node thing, I'm talking about ion engines, where it gets to the point of having different phase angles because you've moved 150 km away from the node by the end of the burn. It's ten times worse with mods. For example in an episode of beyond Kerbol, the ship was halfway out of Fust's (about Duna sized) soi before the burn was complete, and the trajectory was definitely off, probably wasting 200 m/s in correction burns. Also, an idea I had about lag is the higher the burn time the less small maneuvers, so a quite 1 m/s burn could have 0.01 m/s burns 10 m/s would have 0.1 m/s, and 100 m/s would have 1 m/s. That way big burns would have low accuracy, because high accuracy is unnecessary, and small burns would have high accuracy to be more precise. Also, as the fps dropped it could increase the the it took to calculate to use was resources, also, you could have a dV cutoff for the more accurate burns, so for example, a burn would need to be more than 200 m/s before the more accurate system would be used.
