  1. Just a friendly PSA: I have this, as well as Color Coded Canisters working on 1.10.1 without any weird workarounds. It just seems to work fine on 1.10.1.
  2. Has anyone had success making this work with 1.10.X? I finally got some other mods I love that have updated to 1.10 and wanted to make that leap, but I have really come to love this mod and don't want to give up its functionality.
  3. Guys, I had this working fine and then I let my game update to 1.10, realized my mistake and did not open the game, reverted it to 1.9.1 and now it doesn't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, used CKAN, Github...I can't seem to get it back. Any clue what may be causing this? After playing with this and going back to stock...it's...it's not the same and I am less interested in the game. I want to fix this. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Firstly, thank you for trying to help! 1. It's hard for me to say what is and isn't stock at this point as I've been playing with mods since the end of my first week in KSP. I believe** they are stock. They're the Rockomax X200 series. I had them set to Liquid Hydrogen to accommodate the needs of the nuclear engine. 2. I have never touched the settings of KER. I just looked around at some of the buttons at the top of the window and found that the Body is set to Kerbin and the altitude is set to 0km, so I can only assume that means it's set to sea level. 3. Forgive my ignorance, but isn't that what I did? I am clearly misunderstanding you, though, because you wouldn't have said that if it's what I had done. I first tried the "insert image from URL" button in the bottom right and did just that and each time I hit "accept/OK" it just blinked and nothing happened, so I gave up after a minute of trying it, then just pasted the link into the body of the text. What have I done wrong? Seriously, thanks for taking the time to help.
  5. For whatever reason, it's not acknowledging my image link, so unfortunately it needs to be done the old-fashioned way: https://imgur.com/a/n74CJMX Here's my confusion: My understanding of TWR is that anything greater than 1.0 will go up. Obviously, the closer you get to 1.0 the slower it is and can be maddeningly slow when very close to it, but most of my rockets launch around 1.43-1.70 TWR when all is said and done. I have been using chemical rockets thus far with more or less a decent amount of success. I recently got some snazzy new nuclear engines and found that this engine in particular, the NV-GX "Emancipator" Atomic Rocket Motor, had a moderate amount of thrust at sea level, (I've previously been using nuclear engines in vacuum only) so I thought I'd give it a try on the first stage. My TWR is reading as 4.58(5.39) on Kerbal Engineer Redux for that stage, as you can see in the screenshot. And yet, when I try to launch it just floats back down to the ground. That should be enough TWR to launch me out like an ICBM. So...what gives? I can obviously swap that out for a Mainsail or whatever and swap the tanks back to Liquid Fuel+Ox with their own engines, but I just want to understand why this is behaving this way. Is this just me misunderstanding the info KER is giving me? Just so that it's clear, I do not normally have trouble launching rockets into orbit. I am far, far from an expert at this game, but I've put boots on Duna in career mode and brought them back home, so I'm like...lower-intermediate? I guess?
  6. Where I live, only Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Moon (half of the month) and 3 stars are visible on a cloudless night, so I don't get to observe much, but I take my telescopes out every single night that it is possible to observe. It's like a drug looking at Europa's shadow on Jupiter's surface.
  7. I actually figured it out. On the game page on Steam, click the gear icon in the top right, under the banner. Click on the Betas tab, an in the dropdown, 1.9.1 is an option. It will then download some files and you can launch in your previous, mod-safe version. Keeping this up in case anyone else needs info on this.
  8. I play with [quite a few] mods installed via CKAN. The game just updated to the new 1.10 update which seemed exciting when I read about it until I noticed that it disabled 90% of my mods. I'm in the middle of several missions using parts from mods. I have not loaded up the game yet, and I fear doing so will corrupt my save or eff up my in-progress missions. Is there any way for me to roll back to the previous version before launching the game via either Steam or CKAN itself?? Or if I tell CKAN to continue using my mods from 1.9 is there a decent chance they will continue to function normally?
  9. I do not have either of those installed. Are they dependencies? I installed the Cryo-stuff via CKAN which always prompt me for dependencies, so I'd be surprised if that's the case, but anyway, I don't have them. Is that the issue? I saw no mention of that in the Cryo mod page, but yeah. Is that all I need to do? Kind of a tangent, but I unlocked some new fuel systems last night and got access to bigger versions of those gold LH2 tanks. It seems I need one of those set to LH2 and another tank set to Oxidizer in order to fuel the engine? I'm really confused since even with that combo I couldn't get off the launchpad with a tiny rocket. Any advice or help would be appreciated.
  10. So, here's my setup: Razer Blade 15 (2018) Windows 10 legal installation, fully updated intel i7-8750H, 16GB DDR4 RAM, mobile Nvidia 1070 Max-Q KSP 1.9.1 (also a legal copy for what it's worth) I have about 30 or so mods installed. I typically have this laptop set up as a desktop, with a Razer Core that has a 1080ti inside it, two external monitors (34" 2560x1080 ultrawide 144hz as main, 32" 1920x1080 144hz as secondary) an external gaming mouse and mechanical keyboard attached. While in that setup I have zero issues with my game. However, I am staying at my partner's house right now and brought just the laptop body itself with me as I have become addicted to KSP. This is the first time I have tried to load the game not on my dekstop setup. It crashes on load every time. What on earth could be causing that? Is it just searching for components that aren't there and crashing? That doesn't seem likely, but I cannot think of any other reason. Thoughts? To be clear this is the exact same computer I always play it on, just after having removed all the external peripherals am I having this issue. Also, when I say crashes, I mean that the game closes itself out to desktop, not gets hung up on the loading screen.
  11. It seems that is exactly what I did! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain it to me. I have it working now and it makes all the difference for a space nerd like me. Seriously, thank you!! <3
  12. Hey, thanks for replying! The reason I am confused is because normally, when I manually install a mod, it's just a single folder with the name of the mod that goes into my Game Data folder. But in this case, he's got in the GitHub: Game Data/Vapor Vent, a separate folder called Vapor Vent with different contents, and a lot of other types of files that are loose (not in a folder) so it left me a bit confused. I'm sure it's obvious to a lot of people how to handle that, but I'm very new to modding KSP so it's still confusing to me >< No need to right click to tell it to push the steam out? I saw a guy doing that in a video so I expected it, but maybe it was an older version of the mod. Thanks for clearing that up!
  13. @linuxgurugamer I'm having trouble getting it to work. I know you're likely very busy, but I was wondering if you might help me understand what I might have done wrong? I went to the GitHub page and downloaded the folder that was inside the Game Data folder and put that in my Game Data folder. This allows me to see and place the little valves that would emit the condensation, but right clicking them does nothing and they also don't emit anything while on the launchpad. Any clue where I messed up? I saw a lot of other files in the GitHub repository, but I didn't fully understand which files should go where other than the obvious /Game Data/Vapor Vent folder. I am on 1.9.1 and I realize this mod isn't "technically supported" on account of that, but I feel like it should still work with my game version. I normally install all of my mods via CKAN but since the versions didn't match up, I had to go to GitHub for it, if that means anything to you. I'm on Windows 10. Although I hope you can help me, I totally understand if you're too busy. Regardless, you are an invaluable resource to this community, so thank you for all that you do for us. <3
  14. I've installed Cryogenic Engines, Cryo Tanks, and Cryo Tanks Core. Aside from that one golden, egg-shaped, strut-encased hyrdogen tank and it's little spherical buddy, none of my other tanks will allow liquid hydrogen. It does allow 8-10 variants of Liquid Methane, Methox, Oxidizer only, Liquid fuel only etc, but no Liquid Hyrdogren. Any clue why that might be? I'd love to actually try out these swanky engines, but can't seem to have a way to fuel them. I probably have 25-30 mods installed, all through CKAN, so I doubt it's a compatibility issue. Any thoughts?
  15. Ah! That!! That is EXACTLY what I wanted. Thank you so much! <3
