A team of researchers from the NPU has completed a scaled-down model test flight of a hybrid wing body airliner In fact, I think it may not actually be the technology itself that is limiting the development of this shape of airliner, but the cost of building supporting facilities at airports around the world.

"When Americans suspect you of having done something, you'd better have really done it, and done it pretty good." And because their company has provided SAR satellite imagery services to other countries on a humanitarian aid basis, I have also seen rumours that the Ukrainians have asked them to provide satellite imagery for free. But such rumours are just as unprovable and unfalsifiable as this sanction. So, I won't comment anything about did they gave something or not. The reason why I only have comment about this is I just want to laugh at is that because of the Wolf Amendment, it is impossible for anything space-related in China to have any American element to it. This kind of performance art sanction is no different from "double zero tolerance" in the Gambia, or "hang twice" in the Philippines. the "good old days" are gone which we had to cut our stomachs open to prove our innocence if the West suspected had done something ON SOME ISSUES, WE THE CHINESE CARE MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE

Meanwhile in Tsinghua University: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV14r4y1p7Jp/?spm_id_from=333.788&vd_source=6fef304b8d0c4737896e6b702ddfbfb3 More research papers from this research team: https://www.labxing.com/lab/75/publications In fact, they were already finished the maiden flight using RDRE last year. Although the earliest reports at the time did not explicitly state "Yes, we use RDRE", but a later published overview paper points out that (link is full Chinese): "Tsinghua University has independently designed a new rotary burst ram engine, which has completed its first flight test in January 2022. The flight test obtained the effect of changes in operating environment parameters on the operating characteristics of rotary burst combustion under real flight conditions, confirming the feasibility of rotary burst combustion technology and providing important test data for this technology to move towards engineering and productization. Tsinghua University has also carried out a system solution for a dual-flow multi-ring cavity rotary detonation turbine engine, proposing an isolation section solution to effectively suppress backpressure back propagation and achieving compatibility between the turbomachinery and the rotary detonation combustion chamber."

Dong Fang Hong(东方红), and it's still in the orbit: nowadays, it even usually become the first satellite to be tracked by kids in the astronomy hobby groups in numbers of Chinese primary and secondary schools, led by their teachers who observe it. Well, another fun fact about Dong Fang Hong: nowadays, the DFH is still the name for the satellite platform, such as Shijian-20 which based on DFH-5, and the Apstar-6E based on DFH-3E, which the first Chinese full electrically propulsion satellite platform.

The official statement about this from Tianyi: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/TslGgI5UI_hGIYnVn3emgA Translate: We deeply regret the decision of the US Treasury Department to place Changsha Tian Yi Space Science and Technology Research Institute Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as 'we') on the sanctions list. As one of the pioneers of small commercial SAR remote sensing satellites in the world, we have always been committed to the mission of "making space accessible", developing the most cost-effective small SAR satellites, building SAR constellations, and providing one-stop total SAR data solutions. We have also provided nearly 20 pro bono disaster relief services under the framework of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) for users worldwide, including the earthquake in Croatia, the volcanic eruption in Tonga, the floods in Bangladesh, the earthquake in Indonesia, the landslide in Brazil and the typhoon in Fiji. We have checked our history of contracts and financial transactions and we and our subsidiaries have no business dealings with Terra Tech and the Wagner Group in Russia. We have signed undertakings and end-user agreements with our commercial customers to ensure that our products and services are used for civil and commercial purposes and not for any military purposes. We have also checked the list of end users provided by our customers in writing and have not found Terra Tech or the Wagner Group. We hereby declare that we have always complied with the laws and regulations of the relevant countries and regions during our business development. We are actively communicating with all parties and making every effort to ensure that we are treated openly, fairly, and equitably and that we can safeguard our legitimate rights and interests through lawful means. At the same time, we will continue to strengthen our corporate compliance review and have an ardent desire to engage in active dialogue with all parties in a sincere, open, and transparent manner in order to resolve possible differences and misunderstandings. In the future, we will continue to strictly comply with the laws and regulations of relevant countries in our research and development and operational activities, and provide the most advanced technology, the most reliable products, and the best services to build a better life for all. Changsha Tian Yi Space Science and Technology Research Institute Ltd. Jan. 29, 2023

A thought: use three kinds of time regimes. UTC for international corporate, the local standard time for communicate with ground control and the daily routine for astronauts, and the time on the moon for sharing the photos up there. You know, if we use UTC only, in China where's UTC+8 would create a little chaos: you're sleeping while everyone else is at work, you're at work while everyone else is off work, you're off work while everyone else is sleeping.

Which part of Starlink doesn't looks like this award? Ah I see, is the angry astronomy enthusiasts who can only take photos about bright white line in the sky to consider this award. Bezos somehow didn't cause any pollution.

At least it sounds more reasonable to me than being caught in an unspeakable secret military base and hung up like roast goose -

The bgm during the launch of space elevator in Wandering Earth 2. I went to the cinema today and watched it again with my parents. That's the first movie that made me go into the cinema twice -
If one day the Indian really launch their own space station, we will have an Indian Space Station in orbit, which in short is... ISS? Wait, again?

Apart from this, I have heard many stories of other species of starfish eating up shellfish from costal shellfish farms such as scallops, abalone, and clams.

I watched a video from Chinese National Geography about interviewing the coral researchers from the Guangdong Ocean University before. It was sponsored by a charity event called "Little Red Flower" organised by Tencent. And it just so happens that their coral breeding work takes place in my city, Shenzhen. "Firstly, coral reefs protect the coastal zone and reduce the impact of waves; secondly, although they cover less than two thousandths of the world's oceans, they support a quarter of all marine life.", said by the marine biologist in the video. In summary, here's what they did for coral breeding: Survey the environment of the area in question to identify the dominant local species and the various environmental factors that are detrimental to local coral populations. What they were breeding were Staghorn coral. Cuttings from the mother coral plant. Indoor propagation of coral seedlings of locally dominant species in a laboratory-like location. Make the bases made of reinforced concrete and lift them to a suitable seabed. Use special mastic to secure the bred coral seedlings to the base. The most important part: constant attention and regular missions to the breeding waters to check on the breeding of these corals. and make the appropriate adjustments according to the different conditions involved. Actually, the most important part I think is to do more regulating. Apart from the regulation of pollution, don't let someone throwing starfish in where you are planting coral.

In another one or two decades, I should start my own business. It's about a home for the elderly that offers Internet Cafe services in addition to basic medical care capabilities and facilities. "Listen up my son, I don't want to go somewhere without computer with an xx90ti installed!"

This one has received universal acclaim on domestic internet forums in China. At the same time, however, there is also a 3D animated version that has received universally poor reviews. The reason for this is that the animation writers and directors are basically re-adpatation based on their own interpretation rather than the original novel. -
Objectively speaking, I woudn't rule out this possibility. I found a book on the online used book trading site written by the retire cadre work department of CASC, on the history of Chinese space programme in the last century. This book is also the source of the story of CZ-10 in the last century. Hope there are more details if not illustrations as well.
