  1. Quoting Boeing, "Thanks to Aerojet Rocketdyne for supplying and supporting the propulsion system being evaluated."
  2. Well, another thing they have is commercial launches that companies book on them. Unlike proton.
  3. They invented nothing, Roscosmos had even drawings of that already. SpaceX is so behind
  4. You are going to ignore it like the previous 50 times, but: - starship is not shuttle - starship is not buran - starship is not a plane - starship is starship
  5. But if it can't launch bombs from orbit over the soviet union and land without passing over it again then what's the point of a low cost reusable NASA shuttle made for station assembly?
  6. Sounds like shuttle would be an awful comparison to starship
  7. Not only that, but they made the aft flaps on S20 *smaller* compared to the previous ships
  8. And falcon heavy is a paper rocket while SLS is real, you've seen it here at michoud Same feel
  9. Do you think that the shuttle developers wouldn't make it a capsule if it worked? Different vehicles have different shapes and different functions. Stop trying to compare it to the shuttle, it isn't trying to be a shuttle. Do you remember when the Shuttle made the bellyflop manuevere and landed on its back using the SSME? The shuttle lands like a plane and has the shape to make it land like a plane. Starship doesn't land like a plane and has the shape to make it not land like a plane
  10. "It is different so it can't work", again, for the fourth or fifth time. Just because you can't find a decent comparison it doesn't invalidate anything
  11. For you. Those aren't cylindrical, which doesn't mean that starship can't work, just that it is an awful comparison
  12. Which doesn't contradict what I said at all. Your argument "it's bigger so it can't work" is meaningless
  13. The Gemini capsule was 3 meters in diameter, the Apollo one is 4 meters while the Orion capsule is 5 meters. I assume only Gemini is actually possible and the others are impossible to work with all that size difference, no? Please describe a "fully loaded glider". Do you think that Starship will land with full fuel tanks?
  14. Ah, so I assume Apollo, Gemini, Mercury, Vostock, Voshkod, Soyuz, Dragon, Starliner, Orion all aren't real spaceships. They don't have a lifting body, wings or fins after all
  15. The Enterprise is a shuttle without heat shield and any engine, without even the mounts for the orbital thrusters. It had a very small number of sample heat tiles to test the attachment system. The landing gear also lacked the proper mechanism used in the real Shuttles and used temporary single use explosive bolts. Remembers you of anything?
  16. How is SN15 different from the Enterprise atmospheric flight test?
  17. I doubt it will ever fly, it's impossible it will launch before half a decade
  18. Please explain me how exactly you can consider SLS an "existing rocket" and starship a "paper rocket"
  19. If you haven't yet I suggest taking a look at this: https://ntrs.nasa.gov/citations/19750010215 And this: https://ntrs.nasa.gov/citations/19750012297
  20. Color code: "Red is damaged. Green, loose or proud. Blue, gap issue."
  21. ...in american or European notation?
