The “stock crafts” setting is off. But the making history crafts are overstaying their welcome, but I can’t delete stock crafts. I hate it here
-
Yeah, I just want to be able to delete stock crafts. That’s it. And there’s a patch 7 glitch that keeps the stock making history crafts around even with that setting turned off

SSTO drop tanks?
Wizard Kerbal replied to Wizard Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I have a workhorse 38 ton to LKO 100% recoverable rocket, the SSTO i’m asking about can carry small sats/tourists to LKO, I just want to extend it’s range to Minmus and Mun -
I wanted to make an SSTO but put drop tanks slung under the wing like the P—51 That would be dropped at 20 km, is that cheating?

Bob not respawning
Wizard Kerbal replied to Wizard Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
I didn't have an older save game because I was overconfident, and that’s why I reverted. Bob fell too far on Minmus. -
Bob died in a kraken attack when reverting to launchpad, but his soup mist be trapped in Davie Jone’s locker, because it’s like he was removed from the game. Active kerbals: 4, but Bob isn’t there. And nor is he in the lost/missing section. Help This happened again, with no intention to survive the landing, I crashed jeb and reverted. He’s still dead. Luckily, I had a quick-save from a kerbin re-entry a week ago

Shuttle OMS Stability
Wizard Kerbal replied to Wizard Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Huh. Ok. From the start that’s what I did with my main engines, but I didn’t do it with OMS thrusters. That should help! -
This is how I dock around celestial bodies, but other guides are very helpful, too. When I want to rendezvous with spacecraft, but don’t wanna wait for their ideal location in orbit or don’t know it, just launch straight away! Enter an orbit lower than you target. It depends on the target’s orbit and the celestial body, but usually 2-3 km is best. If an orbit below is impossible, then just go above. Then, the waiting game. Plot a maneuver mode and press next orbit until your nodes are the closest possible. Then close and reopen it, and mess with the maneuvers until you have a rendezvous of .3 km or less. Then, when you commit the burn, it may be helpful to close it and do the rest yourself. Once you get to the rendezvous, Set Navball velocity to “target” by clicking where it says orbit/surface if it hasn’t already been set. Align yourself to the yellow “retrograde” indicator . Once you pass by and start losing distance, throttle up until your velocity says 5 m/s or less. Once within 200 meters, select the docking port of your choice. Now set the little icons to the bottom left of the screen to docking mode(the blue one with the circle). Now, engines will no longer be used. Turn on RCS and set the mode to LIN not ROT. Align yourself with the docking port with liberal use of RCS, then at good alignment kill your velocity to .0 m/s. Align with the pink “target ” indicator on your navball. Puff forward, then align the yellow prograde with the target indicator. The continue puffing forward, staying aligned. It depends on the docking port, but stay below .4 m/s Let the magnets do their job!

Decide saturns won't work
Wizard Kerbal replied to Bort kerman's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
What do you mean? Can you please specify? Are craft files not working or you don't have the parts? It may be you don’t have the Making History DLC, which gives you 5-meter parts, F-1 engines, and more. And you mentioned you’re new to KSP. Start with goals like getting to orbit before you build a moon rocket. -
I’m playing on Xbox, so no mods. I wanted to build a shuttle that had the OMS on the top and back of the vehicle instead of 2 terrier engines inline with CoM on the sides, but when It came time to use it, it started front-flipping out of control, and I see why Matt Lowne designed his shuttle as he did. Any help?

I was building a VTOL in the SPH when my camera just stopped moving. None of the controls worked. I don't know what I did

NERVA buffed?
Wizard Kerbal replied to Wizard Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I remember the start mass of the mothership was somewhere near 18 or 20 tonnes, so that definitely answers it -
NERVA buffed?
Wizard Kerbal replied to Wizard Kerbal's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
The deltaV in the right-hand side of the VAB set to Vaccum -
I made a Gilly lander, and i had to use a separate lander because the NERVA’s TWR was too low. Now, out in space, it says I have a TWR of 138.19, and while that may be an exaggeration, she does move pretty fast. Has it been buffed since patch 6?

Stage light stuck on purple/locked
Wizard Kerbal replied to peposcha's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
I know it’s a lot late, but make sure you can see the actual rocket stages on the left hand side of the screen. If not, click the rocket icon, below and a bit to the right of where they were. If you can see them, make sure you aren't in docking or maneuver mode where the Pitch/Roll/Yaw controls are. If you are in one of the 2 wrong modes, deselect them by clicking their icon.
