  1. i know you can repair wheels and parachutes, but legs are pretty much a NO perhaps a few patches later then for the time being, try to land with your engines, a <1m/s crashing speed will yield u a sucessful landing i guess
  2. things to know: Kepler's 3rd Law: - same area = same time - larger orbit = longer orbital period - semi major axis ^2 is proportional to Period ^3 so... make your orbit small than your target to catch up if you are behind (and vice versa) when they are close enough... match orbit and then use the RCS to trim you heading and relative speed when the two approach each other (a good approaching speed would be ~0.5m/s when the tow is below 100m apart)
  3. it actually depends on your CPU clockspeed more...(not the # of cores) see... Unity engine is 32bit and not multithread enabled plus the PhysX it uses is not ultilizing your GPU to do physics calculations.
  4. the price only goes up i got mine for $9.9 or $15 when it was v0.12 ... i forgot it's $24 now
  5. i hv been there before 0.21 -- but when i was trying to get there to see if they changed anything in the 0.21 patch; i couldnt find it in the desert anymore. can someone confirm if it's still there?
  6. to steer the rocket easily you need to use rockets that allows thrust vectoring ie... you cant steer well with a SRB because it doesnt have thrust vectoring -- also RCS comes handy if you ship is very heavy
  7. basically i think you hv to alt+12 to go into debug and allow ur kerbal to walk on the tanks to get in otherwise i never could get back in either
  8. Kerbal Attachment System Kerbal Alarm Clock Kethane ISAMapSat MechJeb KW Rocketry or Nova Punch 2
  9. i dont think you can see a tiny monolith in the skies. (which indeed isnt even rendered)
  10. any debris in the atm gets deleted when it reaches 2.5km separation
  11. I flew my Aeris4A-DI (DI = Debris Interceptor) to dock with my Station once i discovered the Lazor System got its update already! and I added an Artifacial Gravity module to the station; once i discovered damned robotics and the DRBallbearing part got their updates too
  12. since ISAMapSat is probably not getting an update... how do you get to the less obvious easter eggs? (i consider the 3 closest to KSC and KSC2 and pyramid complex are the easiest to get to; without ISAMapSat...)
  13. sunbeam doesnt show up in vab --- nevermind... i forgot the HSTWlaser.dll
  14. Love your mod since day 1 thx for your swift update
  15. stage 3 onward... too low twr and stage 4 gets u 4km/s only.. it takes ~4.6km/s to reach spacee
  16. scott manley --- and of cos... a lot of crashing/ bumping into each other which turned them into a spin ---- well...once you managed to recover and successfully dock from those bump-into-spin situation a few times you can do the docking fairly easier in normal circumstances --- the trick is that you need to build you RCS well ie... when you JKLIHN it doesnt rotation or change heading; and when you WASD it doesnt move literally
  17. plan the node by hand yourself and use the execute next node option i dont thrust mehjeb's full auto... sometimes it gives you a 10-year ETA and i was like WTF? 10yr?
  18. for Mun and other low gravity places which doesnt require a lot of dV to land... i use the rockmax radial ; so that i can have a lower ground clearence (u know... the lander legs are short) otherwise use the LV-909 if you dont need a huge dV to land LV-N is good for orbit ejection/insertion...
  19. either use a skycrane or pack a decent engine at the bottom i personally dont like skycranes because it's harder... i usually pack a small fuel tank and a small engine at the bottom of my rover and use struts to attach my wheels - my rovers can ascend back into orbit because of that
  20. sometimes i get and encounter that is very unstable it flicker between yes and not at light speed it happens last night when i flew to Minmus for a station building mission; the encounter was very low already (~10km) and the path alternates between a cyan (not encountering) and a cyan-orange-purple (encountering) at a very high frequency to a point i couldnt even read the values off the nodes to do any path correction while most of the time the game gives me an SOI change as i wish when the ship got there; sometimes it didnt: usually its when i time warp what is it that make my orbit projections flickers?
