exhausted Mun and Minmus'es science. just sent a shuttle to do the Duna flyby for high over Duna science
-
the only difference is... your download speed from SQUAD's server on the release date will be terribly slow while the speed for VALVE's server is fast. so, i dont know why people dont switch to steam. i switched long ago.

hard? i dont know about the stock game, (i never played stock since like 0.18 or so because flying planes are more fun than than opening the parachute and AFK...) but with FAR, it's not even hard if you have any experience playing any air combat game. it's way easier than any of the ace combat and HAWX (while i agree judging when/how steep to re-enter atmosphere requires a little bit practicing, and an unpowered landing is quite a challenge when it's your first time doing so)

flew a shuttle to deploy an inter plantary probe for high-above-sun science <iframe class="imgur-album" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" src="http://imgur.com/a/8pOMT/embed"></iframe>

flew a shuttle to deploy an interplanetary probe today and when i returned to the KSC, i was feeling my approaching speed was way too fast and was thinking it'll probably crash (~mach 0.8 when touching down on the runway) and what surprised me is that... not only the plane wheels didnt break, the plane was indeed able brake very smoothly and came to a rest safely within a pretty short braking distance =================== i have a feeling the landing wheels, in addition to the "impact tolerance" to limit the vertical speed when touching down, should also have a horizontal speed limiter which breaks the tires when the horizontal ground speed exceeds. thought? <iframe class="imgur-album" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" src="http://imgur.com/a/8pOMT/embed"></iframe>

theres a part storage container in KAS

finally exhausted the science in Minmus and started my science mining in Mun yesterday. did two biomes last night. and the third ship is parking in a low orbit waiting to descend.

KSP orbital mechanics divergence from real life
lammatt replied to NERVAfan's topic in KSP1 Discussion
KSP only simulates a two-body interaction. while people say it'll be asking too much for a domestic computer to sim multibody interactions, i would say it's hard to write good efficient codes to do the simulation. -
built and flew a shuttle capable of bringing a lander to Mun and return

HOME is abandoned-ware.

yes, real chute is a good one. AFk the landing in 4x time warp is definitely a +

lol... no one needs any mods anyways. i can do the maths on my own, estimating fuel budget isnt that hard anyways. but why should i bother when i can have the mod does it for me. and guess what? mechjeb's autpilot is crap other than the initial ascend anyways. i am fairly sure not many people are using mechjeb to do autopilot because it's plain bad. for KW Rocketry or any mods that have size 3 and 5 parts like Nova punch, if you can stand the bad physics sim for huge/heavy object in KSP, yes, it may open up some possibilities. but other than that, i would totally scrap them until 0.24 comes out. (they said they fixed the problem in 0.24)

these are the main ones i am using must have tier: FAR (because... if you can choose from either bad or worse, you gonna choose the bad one instead of the worse one, aka the stock model) Remote Tech (GSO Comm Sat constellation, why not) Mechjeb (i just dont like engineer redux, mechjeb has a way better GUI) KAS ( building base... of cos) B9 (cargo bay?) docking alignment (either this or Lazor System) alarm clock (you dont want to time warp and miss the encounter) a lot of fun tier: procedural fairings & procedural wings (because of FAR, you can skip the wings tho', the B9 wings are pretty much enough) Inferal Robotics (put huge things into the small cargo bay or fairings) Kethane (building base?) Lazor system (missiles and lazor cannon, why not?) fun but i dont really like that much: interstellar (bad instruction in the "more-info", dont even bother to try to make it work) tac life support (not too much fun, you can spam the food/water/o2 tanks anyways; they arent even heavy....)

i dont care about debris until my mission ETA timer goes yellow. (then i go to delete the persistent debris until i get it make again)

can i remote control a probe with a manned ship equipped with an antenna? or is it a must for the probe to have a connection routed to mission control? -------------------- like... i am in another planet with a manned ship without radio link to mission control and i have a probe in my proximity, can i establish a link between the antenna on the ship and the one on the probe to make the probe functional? (i dont mean sending reports back, i mean... if i can drive the probe) -
o well... ok... i admit i dont have the current flagship model of i7 or xeon.... i am only running on Phenom2X4 955 and a single HD7850 i cant afford making crazy thing like these.

if you need to build an unreasonably huge rocket, you are probably doing it wrong. of cos you can say, it's my game; i play how i want but i can also reply, it's my thought, i comment how i want.
-
have you made sure your rocket is actually: 1.0 < thrust to weight < some crazily big number (too powerful rocket will result structural failure i believe) enough fuel enough electricity enough a reaction control, whether it is the SAS or monopropellent, doesnt matter aerodynamically stable (if you playing with FAR)
-
landing isnt hard at all if the ground is flat enough aka, always land on the runway. and to achieve this spare like ~30units of liquid fuel at least so that you can fly yourself back home if your descend is not exactly close enough.
-
this is NOT a question of WHEN (in case the mod misread and block me, i bother to CAP the words NOT WHEN) ========================================================================== i missed the twitch sessions and i cant bother to go thru them, so if anyone is kind enough to enlighten me, please.
-
National Anthem? you mean this?

to dock, you have to have about the same velocity (aka, about the same DIRECTION and SPEED) so... you have the knowledge to answer that yourself now.
