Yes @SSTO Crasher, I just saw the first quote and was like, "raah he did not quote the damn thing", but AFTER posting the answer I realized that you quoted right... Sorry a lot of lots. Used "quote" under post @SSTO Crasher, right? Well, I repeat for the billion-th time, THIS DOESN'T WORK, sorry. Report to the moderators if you're not happy, I can do nothing to fix it. Proof that it's possible: So, PLEASE take the time to select the whole quote. After some training it will be super-easy! P.S: I'm not asking you to post screenshots BTW.

We're at Quote Level 4. Let's keep going and see if we can reach QL1000! Expand Expand P.S: it's not factorial 1000, just 1000.

On the picture it's maybe a bit in shadow, but there are the Mk1 Lander Cans windows popping up on the front. To make Kerbals able of seeing their way, I removed two structural panels. Here's how it looks from the inside: PICTURE COMING SOON. Because it's not yet uploaded.

I just tried to select the Quote and then clicked "Quote selection", and removed the line at the bottom. It worked. I repeat, CLICKING "QUOTE" AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST DOESN'T WORK. YOU HAVE TO SELECT THE QUOTE AND THEN PRESS "QUOTE SELECTION". Sorry if the uppercase letters are a bit agressive, but it's the only way to quote a quote in a quote in a quote in [...] a post. As I did, you can help others by putting text around the quote, so selectioning it is easier.

Bad science in fiction Hall of Shame

Well, they should check their maths and physics anyway. e.g in Star Wars, how many fuel does the Millenium Falcon carry? How efficient are its engines? What's their ISP and thrust in newtons? Are they ionic? Or do they use mundane fuel? How long can its engines burn? Because every time it moves, its engines ae thrusting. Let's say, it takes a few days, with it, to go from somewhere to somewhere else, even if it's unrealisticly too short. If we apply logic deduction from the movie, its engines will have to provide thrust for at least one day. Only ionic engines can do that. But they need a lot of electricity, where does it come from? And, they have to be very powerful to lift the whole thing above an Earth-like planet, which it's seemingly capable of. The electricity needs would be reeeeally high, so high that you'll need a heavy nuclear reactor and appropriate anti-radiation equipment. This leaves little room for everything else. Therefore, the only explanation is that the Millenium Falcon uses two types of propulsion: ionic propulsion and "classic" propulsion. To reach orbit they need a lot of fuel, so it needs to be very fuel-efficient. That's weird if we see the amount of fuel needed to put a 10-ton satellite in orbit. It's definitely unrealistic. -
Hi, This is the first craft I upload on KerbalX. It's a rover, nearly unflippable, and ver sturdy, that is unexpectedly fast. Kerbals usually call it "the Mask". It has: A ladder (toggled with AG1), Three crew capacity, A hatch, Two Mk1 Lander Cans wth big windows on front, Four wheels, And a protective shell. Download on KerbalX: https://kerbalx.com/Nazalassa/Elcano-Platform-II-b /!\ This is a WIP, fir the moment it's just a mere shell with 3 crew pods and 4 wheels. Add whatever you want inside. It's about 2.6 meters high and 3.5x3.5 meters, and its part count is 104, 24 of which are struts and 63 structural panels.

I commonly name my spaceships after stars and constellations (Arkturus, Sirius, Nova, Eridani...) and rovers and bases after minerals (Ruby, Emerald, Beryllium, Amethyst...), for surface stuff being on ground so I choose things deep underground, and space stuff being in space so I choose things far away in deep space, for symbolic reasons. Thus my surface stuff will stay on ground and my space stuff will go deeper in the cold Universe.
