btw I made a version that doesn't care about multiple things having the same name, but it's like... Well it's harder to use and still very WIP It uses lists as name/value pairs... (Tree mistakenly removed. Can't find it anywhere. My mistake. Sorry.) /!\ I just realized... That tree's wrong. That's not one PART object with three "sub-objects", that's three different PART objects... Same goes for the others. Actually no, small update from the future (january 2024): with the 0.3 version of CFP, that's exactly how things are stored.- 71 replies

If we want it to be stock, then we shouldn't modify the configs :) But just studying them. Finding the name of the "[...]Incremental" thing would make it possible. So maybe we should get into KSP doc and try to understand how it works? That well... May be a bit too complex to explain it in one post. I will try to get a meaningful doc for it as soon as I can. [sorry] But if you look at the KerbalX pages, you'll fine some info. Not about what the purpose of a bus is, or the way a computer works, but it'll surely help understand how the KAL things work.- 71 replies

Yey! However: if the theme is changed while in a thread, it will go back to the first page. [sometimes] Also the "follow" button, when not following a thread, is white-ish, it would be better if it were darker. And the pin icon (for pinned threads) has the wrong background in dark mode too.

My guess on this is that we need to know how much events can happen in a single phys-tick, however it seems infinite... So um, I don't think we can "push" a KAL's update time by just putting a bunch of other things that add some "latency" (understand: generating enough events to make the KAL not update during this phys-frame). Now, I think a throttle sensor is possible. Just hook the KAL's play position to the "throttle" axis group (AG) and it will work (I hope). Also, sensors for player (ship control) input can be done the same way, just hooked to one of the rotate/translate AGs.- 71 replies

Also I think it's time to start thinking about sensors. Like, we can have single-use "same-ship" sensors (i.e sensors that can tell whether they're attached to the ship, or not, in which case they either exploded or were thrown away), but... Input sensors (Action groups) can be made, that's quite easy. As for output, anything that can be controlled by action groups can be made. Like wheel speed and turning, RCS thrusting, engines, ladders, or even science experiments. Maybe there is a way to trick the game into storing say, a pressure or temperature data into a KAL (with play position)? Maybe. Needs experiments.- 71 replies

KSP and KSP2 are two different games. That means that if you've purchased KSP2, you won't be able to play KSP, only KSP2.

Well ,I got working RAM -- the registers. Even if it won't be really usable in large clusters -- three KALs per byte... Er, no, that's too much. We need to find a way to put more RAM into less KALs, but concatenating two values into one KAL will be impossible, due to potentialprecision errors. Maybe some kind of... Grid? Data compression? I don't know. I think I'll start working on a python script with tk to have a "user-friendly" way to directly edit KAL sequences. I think. I may start working on it in some time. May. OK, so I did it yesterday, bah anyways. I extended the bus+adder thing (I really need to find it a name) and added KALs that automate certain operations. Currently there are: TAB, TBA, TAC, TCA, TBC, TCB, ADD. Now, if I can find a way to run them automatically when a certain thing is at a certain value... Well well well, I guess I'll get a computer in KSP.
