  1. Really? I found Eeloo to not be too difficult, Moho was the only planet I didn't land on the first try... Maybe Moho isn't as hard as I remember it being lol (Icarus from GPP flashbacks...)
  2. Welcome to the forum! Most visited planet will probably be Duna for most people, followed by either Jool/Eve Least visited would probably be Dres or Moho for most people. As they are the hardest to reach in the game
  3. They have said in the past they are keeping their mouths zipped on it until a "major announcement." We'll see when that happens...
  4. I get the legal reasons for the 18 age limit, but it would be a shame that there are only a few eligible submissions for this challenge just because of age. Especially for a game that which the majority audience are minors. There are a lot of adult players yes, but most players are minors.
  5. Ur lander also uses DLC. I haven't watched the video yet so if you pointed that out sorry.
  6. Even though I do not qualify to receive the prize. Just doing the challenge for fun! Though KSP flags are sooo annoying... f9 quicksave have become the most useful key
  7. I once had a high contrasted and edited photo of this clip with the same theory. But after analyzing the second image about a year ago, I concluded that it looked very familiar to how Jool looked. After some digging, I found it. (December 2020 wow that was a long time ago...) The best evidence that this is a new planet is that ground doesn't look like any other moon that we know of (Except Laythe possibly?)
  8. It's also a shame it's for 18+ only, especially if you are 18 like soon...
  9. Thanks for the additional information. Thank you for answering them
  10. I have no idea how anyone is gonna do realistic landing legs without using some game exploit because of this...
  11. for the benefit of everyone participating General tips: -Slope is about 18 degrees, so be prepared for landers tilting if you are not soft enough -About 1800 meters above sea level
  12. Looks like i'm coming back! Nervous with the point system though: -Seems like the science thing can be exploited, plus, are all science experiments equal? Because a Mystery Goo and a Science Jr. are not created equal... and do we count duplicates? Like can we have 20 thermometers? Because there aren't 20 unique science items in stock ksp. -What do we count as landing safely? Are we saying "no horizontal velocity" is there a speed limit we are considering? Same question for Falcon 9 -having realistic mass is also a hard one to define... Because we can just clip fuel to give the ideal mass. Plus, the dry mass and wet mass in KSP is unrealistic compared to real life? So what counts as realistic mass? -Can we use flags for aesthetics? Because that would improve the looks of our crafts, but does it violate the "no mods?" I ask these questions because with such a large prize (going to see Nova-C moon landing in mission control,) it feels like this challenge will be very easily exploited in many ways. I hope that questions clarify the rules, and excited to participate to do my best
  13. Good afternoon, Coming back from some studying to play KSP RO/RP-1, when I noticed I could not tweak the procedural tanks. I could edit other parts (Like I could adjust the bases of a fairings, or adjust the decouplers.) But the buttons to edit the tanks do not appear. Is there some setting I could do to fix this (Advance Tweakables are on) -I will get a log up here later, I don't have it right now, and can get it if this is a bug... KSP 1.10, RP-1 installed w/RSS and RO (I used express install,) I do not use any other mods...
  14. Most people install RSS, RO, and RP-1 with CKAN. Which is why I think he mentioned CKAN. Now, I can say that downloading mods can be frustrating. But RSS as stock system IMO makes no sense: 1. The Magic of KSP is that you aren't hit hard with making big rockets to get to orbit. As much as I love RO/RP-1, base stock is the way to go for someone with no experience. 2. At this point, KSP 2's main system is the Kerbol system. To switch the main system or start developing the Sol system would take at least, IMO, 6-12months 3. To what you said earlier about how "modders don't give a damn about your problem and i don't want to update mods constantly so i want it to be in base game " Remember that the modders are human. Just like you and me, they have a busy life schedule and this isn't what they are being payed to do. Besides, most of the time when people report problems they never send anything useful like a log. 4. To the other thing you said in that quote "i don't want to update mods constantly so i want it to be in base game," that's just how mods work. Just like how you have to update your license plate every year, or for people who don't drive; how you have to update any game whenever a major release comes out. I do understand the want for it to be stock though, I was mod-o-phobic for a bit because the idea of having multiple mods that you have to manage was too much for me at the time. The great thing is, there are many great tutorials online that can teach you how.
  15. RSS is a fine mod. I don't see the point of making it stock though. Personally IMO, I will be using KSP 1 for RSS/RP-1, and KSP 2 for well... KSP 2. RSS is one of those "too big to implement," it really is a different game (especially with RP-1 and RO.)
  16. My first ever RO/RP-1 Career since it's first orbit (1957,) has been struggling with lack of science to progress the game. And with bad luck + engine failures, the agency is losing it's steam. The goal of man in space or even orbit by 1961 is no longer feasible. I still have hope that man can reach space before the US did (1962 Feb.) but that seems less likely the longer and longer this goes.
