Weekly Challenge #13 - Land On Moho!
CptScience replied to Ghostii_Space's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
Jeb-level accomplished! Full gallery of the mission: Bonus: I didn't end up finishing last week's Dres mission due to Kraken attacks, but I wanted to at least show off the vehicle that would have jumped the canyon if it hadn't kept glitching partway into the surface -
I've noticed when planning intercepts with distant objects -- such as an asteroid or comet -- or when trying to refine intercepts with planets or other vessels that getting a good view of the intercept point on the map screen can be very difficult. Even when I rotate the camera, the zoom levels are set relative to the focus point distance to the camera position so I can very quickly zoom too far in or so far out that I can't get any extra information. I've found this to be the case in both KSP 1 and 2. I think that having the ability to focus the camera on a specific point in an orbit (rather than a celestial body or vehicle) would be a great feature. Perhaps a center-mouse click on a point in the orbit to focus the camera? Has this been a problem for anyone else? Thanks!

Weekly Challenge #8 - Build Starship!
CptScience replied to Ghostii_Space's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
I'd like to preface this with a disclaimer that infinite fuel was heavily abused during this flight, but otherwise everything ran without the need for extra mods! Here's a gallery of the whole mission Jeb Level: Fly a Starship replica to orbit and land it propulsively at one of KSC's four landing pads Using the largest sized components available, I made the Starship and Super Heavy stack as well as the launch mount. The booster has 34 engines: an outer ring of 16 Reliants and a series of inner rings of 18 Swivels. The Starship has three Mainsails as the "vacuum" Raptors and three Swivels for the sea-level Raptors. After orbiting Kerbin, the Starship propulsively lands at the KSC Meanwhile, the booster completed a boost-back burn using the inner engines And used its gridfins for stability as it hit the atmosphere Before finally touching down on the runway Another great challenge! -

Weekly Challenge #7 - Land on Eve
CptScience replied to Ghostii_Space's topic in Challenges & Mission Ideas
Jeb Level: Final height above sea level is 1217m. I think the mountains I was aiming for can be seen in the distance...regardless, super fun challenge! -
I found something kind of funny on Tylo that seems to be part of the environment skin and I wondered if anyone else had noticed anything like it. It seems to be a small sprocket assembly of some kind. You can't interact with it, as far as I could tell. This was in the Grissom crater at approximately 6d 37' 27'' N, 34d 59' 0'' E. I'm playing the stock game plus DLCs.
