I paused on the Valkyrie, as it was causing some major headaches in flight, so the eagle Pod with new IVA is currently being finished, I have a seperate internal to put inside, but now there is a door at the rear which needs to be opened to access the cockpit. The truss sections will also have doors and walkways so you can travel inside the craft completely, just like the real thing. -
Has anyone else seen the new Robocop? are you an old Robocop fan , did you like it etc etc? I don't want to give spoilers away, so I won't say too much other than, as the most hardcore Robocop fan I know I was left feeling so empty I wanted to tear the screen into shreds. Sure, I am biased. I went into a movie that was a remake of one of my most treasured movies knowing they would screw it up, and boy did they do a great job of that. So yeah, until more people have seen it I won't give too much of the plot away, but if you are going to see it, just be prepared. Don't be fooled by the opening credits and music, it gets you pumped up but then falls very flat. So, anyone else as disappointed as I am?

Go for it. I'm not sure if you recall why this fell flat, but i'll let you in on some history. When we started this project, it was a commmunity project involving alot of people, alot more that are in the list up the top. Then the forum got wiped. 50 percent (or more) of the people that signed up to the project never re-signed up to it when the thread was created again. So, instead of this massive community project, you only had a handful of people doing it. Bobcat mainly pulling everything together. Then you know what I saw for the next 6 months? complaints and nothing but complaints about how this wasn't perfect or that wasn't perfect. So I threw the towel in, gave my PMA and unity module up and stopped working on PIRS and the Cupola (as Clara had just made a great one, why bother). If all the original people who actually committed to the project had followed through and not used the forum wipe as an excuse to get out of a project they obviously realized was just too much for them, then all would have been fine. Sorry, just saying it how it is, I'm not meaning to sound incredibly negative although that's probably how it sounds I just put alot of time into my parts and was annoyed at all the people who copped out. -

omg my internet is back on .. it took them a month to get this remote connection sorted... for a kid that grew up without the internet, as an adult I almost started getting the shakes without it lol... So we are back on board! will start posting screenies and videos again (and mods of course) but for the meantime I need to kick some ass in War Thunder.. . -

No intention of changing the truss size, if anything I would be making my pods to the size of the LLL pods as they are a perfect fit. The eagle also is to scale so there isnt alot I can do to change the sizes anyway, most people wont even notice the longer cockpit. -

Sorry for the colour reply, still dont have internet here, am on a mobile connection in the middle of the outback.. apparently tomorrow a tech is coming to fix the adsl port at the interchange.. been waiting 4 weeks! :/ -
Almost came out as I was hoping, next one will be much bigger and in colour, but that will take a few days to print. This is the first one, didn't really want to print at High res and wait 6 hours to see if it would print OK, so this is what you get after a 110 minutes.. The lines you can see are 0.3mm, the next one will be 0.1mm

Ergh.. just realised the Eagle cockpit is going to need to be much longer, there is no way two kerbals are fitting in the IVA right now.. I'll see how far it needs stretching before it looks stupid. Going to re-do the cockpit pretty much in full.. starting from the front of the ship to the back, without pausing like before, so It should all look pretty uniform when done. Once I get to the first fuel tank, Illl finish the command pods for it, as the rest of the ship doesn't need too much more work after that. The landing legs are a little more stable but still suffer from some wobble. Would we maybe be better having them permanently attached or an option to have them perma-attached to the sides of the structure? if they are perma-attached, theres one way to get rid of all wobble. -
I'm a sci-fi nut and even I thought it was rediculous.

They are with Sirkut, they are done and packed and they will be out with the new animator plugin which we've been yakking about for so long, it's going to add a whole new dimension of control to KSP. The new plugin release is imminent, but ill let sirkut let that cat out of the bag. -

Mate, I think really with the Eagle legs I made the collider too large for the feet, or a bad collider system. Over the past couple years I have learnt alot, and unfortunately on some of my earlier ships my shortcomings were more obvious.. Having spent now the last 3 months diving pig-poop deep into Unity and Blender and actually making my own games, I learned even more and now discovered most of the reasons I had issues with parts that I did. I have decided to pretty cease development on the PegasusPx2, the WT-51 and most of my other mods. They are just zapping time that could be better spent on other things. Instead of revamping the WT, the Eagle is in the workshop now. So Logan, this is your chance my friend. You have been the most instrumental of pilots in this puppy. What do you want changed? resized? fixed? the landing legs will be priority one, ill have them as tight as brand new jar of vegemite! -

Yeah, now it's the other way around.. You know what, I think there is no reason we cant release them as stock legs and then later with the animator. Let me shuffle around and find something. I am on limited internet still so uploading stuff is tricky. -

No, most of my stuff is designed to take off and explore the galaxy . A text editor and a simple part.cfg edit can see all my craft back to underpowered, but then alot of the OP parts are there for a reason, big ships need big engines -

We have built one already, or something similar. It's coming in the MSI animator pack. Would not be hard to add a decoupler type version. I'll whack one together today I need a break from other stuff. -

Hey all, Just popping in to say all done with my move, took a quick panoramic from the back deck. I have moved from the smog infested shackles of the city for a life in the country, and can't say I regret the move at all. Living in a city of 4 million people that became so overcrowded and expensive to live, moving to a place where there is .. literally no neighbours in sight, I have a few hundred acres to fly my quadcopters without fear of hitting a building.. I actually want to wake up at 6am and start modding ... lol.. it's definitely an improvement. So basically, with a beer in hand, sitting on the back deck with a laptop in the other hand, this is where I'll be modding from now on. I am fortunate enough to be one of those people that gets along with my inlaws they were very kind and moved out of this house and to another on the property so we could stay here, so besides being a beautiful place, I am no longer paying $2500 a month to rent a house in Sydney Australia, so therefore right now all I'm concentrating is on getting my own thing off the ground (I have been developing games for a couple decades now.. time to put it all into action) and of course will continue with the modding! I wanted to say thank you to those that threw something into my donation bucket. It really did help, and especially in all the expenses of moving kids to another school and moving house.. and at christmas time, all I can say is I was very humbly grateful, and the only reason I did not blast those names and a big thank you from the top of my lungs was simply to keep their individual privacy. I should have my internet hooked up in the next 10 days (waiting for a free ADSL port.....) and I'll be back in business! D. -
It was my pleasure, you are a self sufficient guy so it is pretty easy showing you stuff, even if I don't explain it well you seem to still figure it out. All I was doing was passing on what I learned here, and that's the way it should be I think. If not for Bobcat and Tiberion, some of my biggest problems wouldn't be solved and I'd be stuck on those , hell, i'd help them back if they needed it I can't wait till I've finished this move and we can work on some of the bigger projects we have been messing with! 2 days to go...

I am looking forward to seeing the finished models, I agree with all the comments, here, the current set is completely all over the place, there was absolutely no rules set between Sirkut and I, so textures don't match and in general the parts don't match, but they do serve a function and really I suppose that's what we were focusing on while Sirkut got his head around the mass of code that is DR, most definitely out of my league that one. Many of the parts I made were more to suit my own projects and I am using IR as a supplement for those things I just can't do. Essentially my interest in Infernal Robotics was fairly linear. I needed a plugin that allowed me to attach things to animated objects and have them move with it - and this seemed the only solution (and appears still is the only solution to that modding issue) so for me, things like rotating VTOLS which I use on just about all my ships was where I put my focus. Sirkut pretty much did all the pistons and hinges, I just did a few rotatrons really and skinned some parts, so I didn't have that big a part in it really. As I said, Glad you are taking it up as the infernal parts I make sort of are really specific to my ships, and I don't really have the free time available to do everything I want, including a nice shiny stock set of IR parts that are not overblown. Damned robotics was nice and simple, a handful of parts but they were all so versatile.
