  1. Ah, right you are and wrong I am! I got my S-username-people wires crossed; it was actually @schlosrat who I meant to credit. Sorry, I'm a new member with an old brain. These things (will) happen (again). I can't seem to pull your name off of the OP, so I hope you don't mind a little false credit
  2. My 2 favorite shots from my recent challenge mission to Laythe
  3. Mission complete! Sorry for the link to the Imgur album but it would simply take way too long for me to manually upload all of those into a post here. If there's a way to upload images in batches I'd appreciate the info! A huge thanks to: @XYZ3211@Socraticat@highfly1000 @schlosratfor their work on Maneuver Node Controller and @ABritInSpacefor Transfer Window - this mission was heavily-reliant upon both for its success!
  4. I am doing serious research into remote docking options. Wish I knew how to make videos, the remote unit was spin stabilized by sepratrons and flew dumb to RDV. Current Statistics Maximum relative velocity: 59 m/s Maximum distance closed: 1.1 km Survivors: None
  5. Oof, atmospheric rocket return... I guess I did ask for difficult after all! This one may take a while; I hope the patch gods smile favorably upon me tomorrow. Others, please learn from my hubris...
  6. I've found that the "haze removal" filter on Affinity Photo 2 gives a huge improvement (in my opinion) to images with atmospheres. Original Haze Removed
  7. I assembled an Eeloo exploration craft in orbit, heavily-inspired by @Syvwlch's design: Forum Post. I was originally going to check out Dres, but I just so happened to be near an Eeloo window and we had the fuel, so why not? I'm sure missions have been done for less compelling reasons...Mission pics below. Landing and return will have to wait for another day. Bugs, kinda:
  8. For me, it's both! Both maneuver and post-burn trajectories agree. Problem is, they're wrong! Orbital information changes after you switch SOI. I *believe* generally, but absolutely when switching to a solar orbit. Try it yourself - take a screenshot of your calculated orbit before and after leaving, for example, Duna to Kerbin as Scarecrow described above. For now, I have dusted off my old KSP Planetary Transfer Reference poster and simply have faith my transfers will be good once they update!
  9. I'm not sure if you want to go with mods, but if so here is an option I've seen on Space Dock: https://spacedock.info/mod/3354/Lux's OAB Extensions
  10. Jeb level proof of concept to see how such a craft would fare with the current physics. Flight of the Pteromyini Editorial
  11. I really like your assembly scheme, especially the lander/main engine combo + reusable modular assembly. For whatever reason, I want to build more hydrogen-based craft but struggle to keep them from turning into giant spacenoodles.
  12. I got impatient waiting for the weekly challenge and decided that I was preeeeetty certain that we would need a nuclear service module (which I'm only now realizing is underneath the bottom fairing in the images after I posted - pretty on brand for me). Certainly had nothing to do with me wondering what an interplanetary nuclear Apollo-esque setup would look with the current parts (and my current abilities)... Left the telemetry in the launch screenshots as I thought it was pretty hilarious. This thing did NOT want to get into orbit; felt like I was trying to balance a rope on a pendulum. However, thanks to the cantilevered lateral acceleration whatchamacalit (C.L.A.W.) system, we're in LKO, patiently waiting for the next weekly challenge. Maybe the next one, depending on objectives...
  13. Sorry to report that I am experiencing no audio with the latest version released on April 2nd. 1.1.0. Reverting to 1.0.1 so far has been the only remediation. I am not sure what information is and is not relevant here but am happy to supplement the below on request to keep the comment as succinct and useful as possible. Issue summary: No audio whatsoever from KSP2. I've tried the following to no avail: Deleting "Player.log" in the LocalLow folder Toggling audio on/off, restarting game, PC, all permutations Uninstalling all mods, fresh install of BepinEx 1.1.0 Booting game with ONLY 1.1.0 results in no audio as described
  14. Are you trying for a low orbit? Something you may want to try, I noticed a similar situation around Ike last night where if my orbit dipped below 30 km, it would start to decay, almost like I was in atmosphere. Above 30 km? Static. Try raising your orbit if any of this rings true. Again, this is anecdotal and a data point of one. Your mileage (or worse, periapsis) may differ! Edit, just read @Klok@s post and yeah, similar situation where I had an Apollo style vessel. Not sure if that contributes to the issue or is coincidental.
  15. Not sure what to say other than last night the zip files were empty with the same link. Only proof I have of the issue is my downloads folder with file sizes. Seems resolved now, regardless. Excited to try this tool out!
  16. Slightly off-topic but I didn't feel the need to create a new thread. I have just tried downloading this mod from Spacedock and the file is literally empty, as in nothing is in the folder after extracting to the KSP 2 folder path. Am I the only one seeing this error? Odds are I'm doing something dumb. Appreciate any info or if somebody could point me to a working download. Link to page I am trying to download from: https://spacedock.info/mod/3272/Stage Info
  17. Hi all, I'm looking for some assistance with the radial connections on my lander. I love the look of it but those radial Mk II tanks start jiggling under thrust. Best shot space tape or is there perhaps a better way, bearing in mind the current capabilities of KSP 2? Appreciate any tips! Gallery: https://imgur.com/gallery/JE8atxz
  18. Managed to get my interplanetary vessel + lander assembled in LKO today. The nuclear tug has about 11km Δv when laden with the lander, which itself has about 2.3km Δv. Any recommendations on where to transport such a craft first? The Joolian system seems like the obvious (though standard) answer... Pictures of the mission so far: https://imgur.com/gallery/pTH8God
  19. Long time KSP 1 player, first time KSP Forum member. Looking forward to seeing how things develop with the sequel!
