  1. I think something needs to changed is the probe core survival underneath its specific sized heat shield.  Every probe core will perish unless you oversize the heat shield 1 size.  But The expandable heat shield doesn't help.
    My test setup of simple rockets and probe cores.  They do survive with oversized heat shield.

  2. Warp to next day.  Or night.  (Maybe I haven't found button haha)
    And switching to next vehicle changes the camera view pretty drastically.  I'm wondering if view could stay the same but looking at the next vehicle.  

    I have no idea what else I want!  Having great fun.

    Once KSP 1 missions reach sub orbital tourism you gain unlimited cash.  I don't understand the opening statement, "back on track." as I feel they've always moved in one direction.  And then you end the post with keep it civil.. For just reason as after reading your post I think there are so many undertones and read between the lines within your post, for example,  "but then i remember how game devs tend to work" and "increased cartoonished."  I hope you can find joy in the game in the future.

  4. The "For Science" update is amazing.  Fixing all the bugs that I've had an issue with.  Such as 'opening a cargo bay disables air intakes' and 'decouple objects ruins the camera'.    

    Most of all, BOATS!!!  All the "boats" I've crafted do not wobble uncontrollably in the water and do not generate "magical" thrust anymore.  (cries in magical thrust)

    This will make a SpaceX like water landing on "Of course I still love you" or "Just read the instructions" much easier to do.   So many things I want to try.

I believe there is a campaign on the KSP 1 reddit against anything positive about KSP 2.   It's wild because some reddit users act like they are being tortured because KSP 2 is being developed.  The negative posts get voted up, but if you dig into the comment section, the majority of the comments are sick of the campaign.  And the positive comments are voted down there too.  KSP 2 reddit is nicer. lol

  6. I left the Safety of the KSC.. I watched it and tried for the Mun as I watched..  The first rocket, I built from the bottom up, so all the decoupling resulted in the entire ship falling to pieces.   

    The second rocket, I started from the top and that one successfully made it to the Mun.   The lander I crafted had the small pointy radial decouplers and after I had left the Mun surface the ship turned into Spaghetti and uncontrolled wobble into pieces.   

    Reloading the quick save just before leaving the Mun Surface, I learned the importance of the correctly setting up the Orbit of the Relay Ship that gets me home.  

    Lessons learned, Build from the Top Down.  Do no use the small pointy Radial Decouplers.  Set the Orbit of Relay ship before going to Mun Surface.  I need more practice.

Its interesting hearing this conversation from a family business prospective.  He admittingly left the game as KSP 1.0 was released.  If I had left my family business it might not have been where it is today.  I could only imagine the improvements that could have been done if he were still invested, but I have no clue how much he invested to begin with.  I like his analogy though, KSP has grown from being a baby.
