Not that this is going to really add to this, Though I was super excited to finally launch a deep space probe with enough dv to make it out of the solar system and this bug stopped the mission dead in its tracks. It was one of the first times I wanted to really throw my PC out the window and rethink all my life decisions.

Let's Have a Bright Conversation: Discussing Lights
DoCDoC replied to DoCDoC's topic in KSP2 Discussion
Its not really lack of options, it is the brightness and throw distance. They don't seem to allow night time driving on vehicles to me. -
Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor | GPU: Radeon RX6950XT | RAM: 32 The lights for rovers should be a bit more wide and or throw farther it has been difficult to get lights that actually allow you to drive around in darkness. Perhaps a longer throw distance? Also when just looking at this the crew cabin has a glow but that does not seem to effect the ground. I would think there would be some reflected light. The ability to control the angle of the lights after launch would also be helpful. Included Attachments:

Construction When Trying to Close a Fairing on a Part, it will Disappear Instead.
DoCDoC replied to NovaRaptorTV's question in Construction
As Qwerty mentioned I think that is what is going on, not sure it is better or worse, fairings have always been a bit touchy. -
I have also had a lot of difficulty with the buttons disappearing before my mouse reaches the fairing icons and had to rotate the camera a bunch to get the right angle for them not to disappear. This fix would be a pretty big quality of life fix. In case someone needs to reproduce I was using the XL tank then below that a XL faring than a XL engine plate at the bottom.

Beamed power / laser solar sail
DoCDoC replied to S_Coriolis's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
I second the possibility of light sails, (similar to the future sneak peek heat panels) for a unique propulsion type and look. -
Hard Agree on the Lights... This is just a minor one, but I think that the range of most of the lights should be increased. often lights don't light up the ground early enough for them to be useful, and this is one of their main uses. In my experience, most of the time I see the dust kicked up by the engine exhaust before I see lights illuminating the ground."

Where's the rest of the UI?
DoCDoC replied to ArmchairGravy's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
I'm prob going to be a bit weird her but I'd be cool with just a note pad type area where I can state goals and info about the craft. -
Suggestion: Naming Conventions
DoCDoC replied to Rubenio's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
maybe the one that has more mass keeps its name as default, and when docking a dialog comes up asking to pick or specify new vehicle name. -
Duna’s atmosphere is too thick.

I will be honest, instead of nit piking a too much on parachutes fall velocity, I would de happy with more Easter eggs like NASA does on theirs. -
What do you expect from the Science Update?
DoCDoC replied to GGG-GoodGuyGreg's topic in KSP2 Discussion
I'm kind of old school. I love the step-by-step progress in science, the way we used to take our time, picking out exactly what we needed. (KSP 1) But with the teased new all-in-one modules, I'm a bit worried. Feels like we're just slapping on science without really thinking about it. -

Let's take a minute to talk about the lighting systems we use in our planes, spaceships, and other amazing creations. Right now, they're just not as bright as they need to be. Picture a rover on the dark side of a moon or planet. Can our developers honestly say that the light from two headlights is enough? I believe our current lighting just isn't living up to the overall quality of our game.
