  1. To be honest, I'm not sure. I'm still quite new to the whole modding scene myself. The safest option is probably to install Kopernicus and put the color fix in its folder, but that seems like overkill unless you're planning on installing a planet pack, or anything else that requires Kopernicus. There may be an edit you can make to the patch that would make it not need Kopernicus, but I don't know enough about writing MM patches to suggest how to make such an edit. Rather than risk giving you bad advice, I'm going to defer to @JadeOfMaar (KSC Extended's adoptive manager) as to the proper course of action here.
  2. Welcome, and may your modding efforts be fruitful!
  3. No problem, we all had to start somewhere. The URL gives you a good idea of where to put that file - open your KSP install folder and go to the following folder within it: [Your KSP install] > GameData > Kopernicus > Config Paste the file I linked to in there, and it should work the next time you start the game.
  4. Hello, world KSP Forums! I picked up KSP1 back in March and have been enthralled ever since. I still consider myself fairly new to the game (though I've probably amassed around 3-400 hours of actual gameplay), but it's been fun learning all the ins and outs of not exploding. Being something of a masochist, I'm also experimenting with various mods that add new layers of complexity to the game, including life support and a larger-scale stock system. Eventually, I hope to make some original mods as well, but I still have a lot to learn first. KSP is only the latest addition to my game library; I've been playing various games for most of my life at this point. SimCity 2000 was probably my gateway drug, and I spent a great deal of time with some of its successors as well, including community involvement and modding. My game interests mostly skew toward similar creative ventures, with some dabbling in RTS as well. That's probably enough of an introduction for now. Feel free to ask if you want to know anything else.
  5. Quoting seven-month-old posts is probably not going to get the person quoted to reply (even if you do it twice), but in the interest of not leaving anyone hanging, here: https://github.com/Kopernicus/Kopernicus/blob/master/build/KSP18/GameData/Kopernicus/Config/ColorFix.cfg Right-clicking the link and choosing "Save link as" should let you download it directly.
  6. I just reported this on the GitHub, but just to make sure others are aware: if you have Better Early Tree installed alongside BDB, some parts can't be unlocked, because they're assigned to a tech node that BET renames. This mostly affects Gemini/Leo parts, but for all I know, there may be others affected.
