I'm assuming you didn't forget parachutes on the CSM? -

The designer of the Saturn IX graces us with his arrival. (Took me damn long enough to figure out what to put in that slot for the last word. D: ) -

[AAR] Construction: A Journey to Space --- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
Fox62 replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
Not at all, so long as it's still reasonably obvious it's the Saturn IX. And the company will be using it as a heavy lifter, not so much for Mun landing missions (they've got licensed copies of the Constellation equipment for that). -
Saturn IX -- Sandpiper Lander (Subassembly Compatible)
Fox62 replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Do you mind if I give this rocket a bit more publicity by having it be used by the fictitious company Verolan Space & Aeronautics Ltd. in Mekan1k's story, "Construction: A Journey to Space"? I know it's a sort of stupid question, but I wanted to ask just to be sure. -
[AAR] Construction: A Journey to Space --- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
Fox62 replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
Verolan Space & Aeronautics Ltd. is proud to announce the unveiling of a new licensed launcher designed by brilliant Kerbal scientist Gus Turbo, the Saturn IX!( http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/37324-Saturn-IX-Sandpiper-Lander-%28Subassembly-Compatible%29 ). This launcher shall be used for lifting of heavy payloads into Low Kerbin Orbit. -
[AAR] Construction: A Journey to Space --- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
Fox62 replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
Awesome! And I do think that Verolan Space & Aeronautics will focus on getting things to and from location, while New World Homes Inc. can focus on making their things for staying there long term. We have our own short-term habitation systems (licensed copies of the H.O.M.E modules), but those are utilitarian and not entirely perfect for an extended stay. -

That base looks cool, which company does it belong to? New World Homes Inc.? -

Not using Kethane is fine, but it will have to have extra-terrestrial bases with some form of mining equipment. -

Fox62 replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
If you want to modify those designs, go ahead. All I want is what's best for the story (and of course the company ). Also, Verolan Space & Aeronautics will do work on Kethane mining and proccessing, with subsidiaries that drill for it on Kerbin (at least in my personal head canon). -

The reason I use panels is because they provide a lot of power. Otherwise, I rely on RTGs for everything other than manned craft and stations. -

Now uploading craft concepts images for Verolan Space & Aeronautics EDIT: And here they are. Sorry about crappyness in the graphics quality, it's the only way to get KSP to run smoothly for me. http://imgur.com/a/grMep#0 -
[AAR] Construction: A Journey to Space --- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
Fox62 replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
I have some spacecraft for Verolan Space & Aeronautics Ltd. I'll get some screenshots and such, but those are only basic guides to the build concepts. Also, I would like to form a sort of partnership between the company I came up with and New World Homes Inc. -
One mod you could use is Romfaror's Lazor System independent Docking Cam. It can be downloaded either by itself (with only the plugin and the new .cfg edited docking ports (which I think revert back to be normal docking ports after the mod is uninstalled)) or as part of the Lazor System

[AAR] Construction: A Journey to Space --- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
Fox62 replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
Making a logo will (unfourtanetly) be nigh impossible for me. I have little to no experience using Graphic Design Software (Specifically GIMP). On the subject of spacecraft, they will attempt to use the safest, smallest, and cheapest rocket possible, with emphasis on safety and versatility. They would use the Soyuz launcher almost excessively, but if a smaller, cheaper rocket will suffice without compromising safety, they'll go that route. Also, go ahead with coming up with your own designs for their craft. Mind you, they will also be excessive users of their customized MechJeb system (aka their version of B9k. Not as chatty, but gets the job done as efficiently as possible). -

I have an idea for a company. I have no real craft concepts for it yet, but I am submitting the company concept "Verolan Space & Aeronautics Ltd." Primary Focus in Space: Resupply contracts, Commercial/Tourist flights, Mining Craft Similarities: The ships they use will be built sort of like a mix of SpaceX and Soviet spacecraft designs, with versatility being their no.2 priority, with safety being priority no.1 Slogan/Motto: "We will explore the solar system. We may start small, but we'll go to great places eventually." -
KIDI- Kerbal Interplanetary Defence Initiative
Fox62 replied to sodopro's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I have an idea for an edit of the Drone Swarm Concept. Re-design the recon probes so that they can adjust their orbital trajectory, maneuver the probes into the trajectory of oncoming spacecraft. If launched into a retrograde orbit, and guided all the way to the target, it's a potential station buster. Think Macross Missile Massacre, only with satellites. ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MacrossMissileMassacre ) -
Holy ****, that is one huge rocket. I do note that those boosters look like scaled up versions of parts from NovaPunch.
-
This should be added to the KIDI thread.
-
Let's see this thing versus Macey Dean's Battlecruiser. Cuz I want to see the Yamato shred that thing with shock cannon fire.
-
XD I think Jeb would be bored as hell waiting for the burn to complete. Also, I want a picture of this thing on the Launchpad.

Can you make Procedural Structural Plates? Basically pWings without the lift?
