Realistic Solar System Crafts - MEGATHREAD
Fox62 replied to Captain_Party's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
That is brilliant. I'm trying to re-create Apollo, and the Apollo Applications Project, but it's slow going due to some bugs. -
REQUEST Extended fuel tank/tanks for creation of various Apollo Applications Program proposed lift vehicles like the Saturn V ELV. (Basically, a Saturn V with stretched first, second, and possibly third stages that had uprated engines and four Titan IV solid rocket boosters. The S-IVB, or MS-IVB as it was referred to in this proposal, and it's interstage could be omitted to enable lifting of 200,000 kg to orbit. Definitely useful for building Mun bases and such)

[0.23.5] Realism Overhaul: ROv5.2 + Modlist for RSS 6/30/14
Fox62 replied to NathanKell's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Uhh... Why is this happening? EDIT: Also, the control pod things on the end of the S-IVB stage fire in the VAB and may not function correctly. In short, RedAV8R needs to work on these patches, ASAP. EDIT 2: Also, could we get .craft files designed with RSS in mind for both the LazTek Pack and FASA? It would be really nice. -
Can you SSTO from Kerbin if you refuel on the ground? Just curious.

8K82K aka PROTON (OLDD in USSR) v. 0.5. (12.05.14)
Fox62 replied to DennyTX's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
.... Wasn't the third stage interstage solid? That's what I recall from seeing pictures of the Proton. -
..... Why did you think that a Saturn V would be needed to reach orbit with a Gemini capsule?

Universal Storage 1.4.0.0 (For KSP 1.4.x) 13th March 2018
Fox62 replied to Paul Kingtiger's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Is there a Realism Overhaul patch for this? Because I SO want this for my RSS install. And it's realistic. -
Once your done with NovaPunch, could you make the Jupiter-246? That's a Jupiter first stage, with boosters, that has an additional SSME and has an upper stage with 6 RL-10B engines and is normally partially fueled when lofting payload. That way you could re-create the DIRECT Constellation proposal using STS tech.

I would say Libra Station due to it being a project that is Project Apollo sized I would imagine.

[1.0.x] Procedural Parts Textures | Procedural KW - June 8
Fox62 replied to blackheart612's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Do these work for Procedural Parts? -
No, I'm playing sandbox. So, do you think I should get rid of RO? If so, will that affect the engines? Will they get smaller or something?

[0.23.5] Realism Overhaul: ROv5.2 + Modlist for RSS 6/30/14
Fox62 replied to NathanKell's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Is anyone else having problems with Procedural Parts? I can't edit the Procedural Parts to change them from a 1.25m cylinder, nor can I change anything about the Procedural SRBs. -
Hey Matt, how did you get Procedural Parts working with RSS and Realism Overhaul? I keep having every single part except the procedural SRBs show up as 1.25m cylinders that I can't edit at all. Even changing the width or length doesn't do jack scheiße. Pardon my German.

I'm sorry, you thought that gun was big? Think again. Senkan Yamato, kasai!

Could we get LUS engines that are lookalikes of the MB60 and J-2X? An mounting options for those of us who want engine clusters on the LUS?

This doesn't work on the LEM Descent Stage from FASA.

Realistic Solar System Crafts - MEGATHREAD
Fox62 replied to Captain_Party's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
... The normal Saturn V apparently would have produced an explosive yield equivalent to a relatively small nuclear weapon had it blown up on the pad. -

Damn that is one fine rocket. What are you planning on lifting with it? -
The LEM Descent Stage Tank still blows up in the menu.

..... Could you make a version of Modulefixer that adds that to any tank that has fuel, oxidizer, and monoprop? Because at the very least FASA has that problem.

[AAR] BaseCamp- A Journey to Space -- WARNING: IMAGE HEAVY
Fox62 replied to Mekan1k's topic in KSP Fan Works
That launch vehicle looks like a heavily modified Atlas ICBM. Perhaps using updated and uprated rocket engines to allow for a second stage and payload?
