  1. I've tried to do this a while ago before we got reaction wheels, but it couldn't get past 50km. With enough reaction wheels though, this shouldn't be too hard. Also, I think it's easier to build a Shuttle-style payload rocket than a Energia-style rocket. ^4 tons to orbit.
  2. Yay! Subassemblies! Subassemblies: Odysseus STS Sub Odysseus Cargo Cover.craft Place in Subassemblies. Happy launching! BTW, I made a very small update to the shuttle so that it has a slightly lower tailstrike hazard now.
  3. Mulbin, you don't need ullage motors on the second stage. The Saturn Vs for Apollo missions with the rover don't have ullage motors. Plus, it would bring down the part count.
  4. I remember that bug in 0.15 when you plane would fall apart at launch if it had a clipped part. That took a while to figure out.
  5. They're the same height. This was the simplest and the most part-efficient way to lift 40 tons.
  6. The only thing that's more impressive than your dropships, is your piloting skill! Have you tried putting a universal docking port at the bottom so that it could attach to 2m and 1m docking ports? All you have to do is to clip a 1m docking port into a 2m one.
  7. How do build a Munshine that can lift 40 tons to orbit? Simply stick two 20 ton lifters on top of each other! Only 44 parts!
  8. You could just lower the thrust of the Mainsail. I'll see what I can do about the 40 ton lifter.

  10. More like the other way around, the space shuttle's RCS used the same type of hypergolic propellants that OMS used. The RCS was used for fine orbital adjustments, while the OMS performed the coarse ones (i.e. circularizing).
  11. "Whackjob worthy" He builds this thing from it: youtube.com/watch?v=BUXpoMFOuXI
  12. This was actually a slightly redesigned Munshine IX, which replaced the winglets with Standard Canards for better control at launch.
  13. I found landing on Moho was as easy as landing on Vall. I landed first try with this weird flat landing pad with a rover on top. Here's a better view of the landing platform on the Mun: The entire rocket looked like this: In orbit around Moho: The rover system was also used for Eeloo:
  14. This is the Odysseus STS shuttle: I used a modified version with a science lab for my space station:
  15. I think so, but it's buried somewhere in my 0.21 file(s). Edit: I found the file for the cargo bay, and I made a little edit to it so that it works better in 0.23. http://www./download/tyzsqv48d8y3v21/FTP-4.craft
  16. Here's my simple 4 module ship that can ferry crew and cargo to and from Duna. A bigger one for Eeloo missions:
  17. This was my first interplanetary return ship. It was used to sent Jeb Gilly and back in 0.18. It could have been reused, but it ended up in a polar orbit, so it was abandoned. This interplanetary ship was used to ferry cargo and crew to and from Duna. This ship would send Kerbals to Eeloo and back.
