I have a method of attaching things under a jet engine. Send me the .craft I'll see what. I can do. -
Wow, nice! I was planning on building a Pico ISS with the Proton, but I didn't have time to do it.

Even if I could build a Kerbol grand tour ship, I wouldn't have the patience to fly it. Come to think about it though, the lander can land and takeoff from every body except for Eve, and I have a 165 ton lifter at my disposal... -

I'm also working on a Jool grand tour ship, albeit on the small side. It's consisted of four parts: Multipurpose Lander/main propulsion system, Fuel tank/ Habitat Module, Layther SSTO, and Crew return capsule. So far, I have the most complex components completed (the Multipurpose Lander and the LSSTO), and the construction of the other modules will resume when I have time. Multipurpose Lander: For landing on Tylo, Call, Bop, and maybe Pol (the Crew Return Pod could probably to this), as well as being the main engine for the mother ship. Layther SSTO: It will be left in orbit after being used for landing. It can land and takeoff twice, so I might use it as a Laythe ferry for future missions. -
I'm going to this a try. So far, I've completed the landing vehicles: Multipurpose Lander: This also functions as the main engines on the mothership. Used for landing on Tylo, Vall, Bop, and Pol. Laythe SSTO: This will be left in orbit after it is used and may be reused for future missions. Both landers seat two.

6730 dV stock Tylo Lander - Gravstar
Giggleplex777 replied to SSSPutnik's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I used a Manley-style lander for Tylo, but I didn't pack enough fuel to get back to orbit. -
9-seater VTOL SSTO Spaceplane

I like how the vertical R.A.P.I.E.R. engines was used as a lift engine in the atmosphere and in space. -
I couldn't get it to work. Any help?

You can always test it with hyperedit.

Not mine but it's really small. -

I've seen smaller. -
You'll need a lot more fuel than that! It takes almost 12 km/s f delta-v to get to orbit from surface level.

Can this land on the Mun and return?
Giggleplex777 replied to JenBurdoo's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
After you drop the big booster stage, the TWR of your lander will be lower than 1, which shouldn't be too much of a problem since you're already going pretty fast. Just make sure that it doesn't fall back into the atmosphere. Pressing f1 takes a screenshot of just the game, so there won't be a windows border around the image. The screenshots can be found in the Screenshots folder in the KSP folder. The GUI is the navball, stages, etc. You can hide this inflight by pressing f2 (pressing it again will bring it back) this allows for unobstructed screenshots. -
Can this land on the Mun and return?
Giggleplex777 replied to JenBurdoo's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
It should be enough, but lander's TWR is kind of low, so be careful during launch. BTW, pres f1 to take a screenshot and f2 to hide the UI. -
You can try to use the Munshine IX to lift it and a 30 ton tug to orbit, but your ship looks so unbalanced and big that you'll probably have a lot of trouble fly it. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/63050-0-23-MUNSHINE-LIFTERS-new-release-new-lifters-5-165-tons-to-orbit-Oh-my%21 165 tons to 80km orbit, 192 parts. No fuel crossfeed. Another alternative is to launch it in to a low orbit first, and then send a tug to push it higher.

I might be releasing the "Lite+" version soon. A list of its features: - 2.5 stage LV - 1500 m/s of delta-v in the Service Module - LES tower - Secondary propulsion system (may be used for in orbit aborts, powered landings, etc.) This is part of the capsule. - Two abort modes - Capsule landing struts - Capsule RCS system - Backup parachute - Docking light - Probe cores in the capsule and the service module. - Service Module and Crew Capsule have their own control, propulsion, and electrical systems, allowing them to function independently. - Debris-free -

I was afraid that no one could fly it. -

I've been stuck with this guy for A YEAR and I still haven't gotten around to releasing it. :/ The Odysseus STS' launch was delayed for almost a month. I built the "Zondpollo-L3" but I didn't release it. Pico Navaho and a derivative of it: I made a whole family of advanced MPCVs, but I got distracted when 0.20 was released and the entire family (only a few weeks old) were left to rust. Fortunately, I was able to find the .craft and refurbish them in 0.23.
