  1. Banned for designing 225 things.
  2. Parking orbits to give you a huge breathing room for the final burn (in which in my case, a geostationary orbit). That is, if you will fly the rocket in a way that you won't cut the engines off at any point during the ascent (just throttling down to the lowest possible without losing speed). Circularization is all up to you (it's part of my launches, a trait that I've carried over from version 0.11).
  3. It's inevitable, but tell them politely what just happened. Don't shrug them off because of a "common" question, particularly if the asker asks it politely. A question asked with a good intention should get the proper response. Anyone that "OMG WHAT IS HAPPEN MY SAV FILE ISNT WORKING PLZ FIX THIZ SQUAD" or "WTF SQUAD MY SAEV FILE NOT WORKING I LOST MY 1000 PART STATION WTF WTF WTF" or anyone who wants to incite flames using the issue as the backstory, should that particular person won't respond accordingly to polite responses, deserves to be criticized and neutralized by the community with EXTREME PREJUDICE. And there are some people who have been here for ages, left for somewhat long time and just went back recently, like me (my OJD was around September 2011)
  4. Banned for being a space core that cannot space
  5. Someone who has destroyed the universe many many times already.
  6. Then I'll get my 0.21 and keep my 0.20 copy so that I can still continue my [NS] series (kurtjmac style )
  7. Banned for being an australian fries instead of french.
  8. So it's possible to make it, but impractical for use? Millions of tons of thrust and 6,000s Isp for short bursts are pretty much promising already. I think this is what I'm asking for...
  9. Should Junkyard posts be counted then many would be already at around 1000+ now
  10. Simple question that suddenly popped out of my mind after reading the NEXT thread. We got normal high-thrust, low Isp engines (typical rocket engines) then there's the low thrust, high Isp engines. And then we got the switchabl type like VASIMR. But is it possible for a rocket engine/ion thruster/nuclear engines/anything that can propel things into deep space and other planets to have a consistently high thrust and specific impulse? If it isn't then why? What are the limiting factors?
  11. Wazzup wazzup! Since 0.10, at your service took a break for some time and now I'm back here. Glad to see my post count now and name back since the forum got reset Now to get back my former account's post count and reputation...
  12. And I can't even rotate mine in every orientation I want to...
  13. Just watch small videos like the one I've posted so that you'll have the general idea how to do it in no time. Wall of texts and video commentaries got lots of info in, but I'm sure you got no time to watch/read them...
  14. That's because all you got was all vertical velocity and no horizontal velocity. Pointing yourself up all the way to space won't get you into orbit no matter what you'll do. That's how we launch rockets before 0.11 was released, since there's no orbiting support yet (everything's either fall back or reach escape velocity). Ahh good times Anyway, this might teach you a thing or two. Short length, no frills. 100% video. No texts and information overload. Take note of the altitude and navball orientations.
  15. "Where safety is NONE of our concerns!"
  16. Because that's where the main challenge is Congratulations! Well since you've used all stock, flew the plane manually, and that I saw no plugins, pretty much sure you haven't broke any. Welcome to the club! **OP Updated.
  17. Running on a Samsung R580 here and I'm occasionally getting thermal shutdowns when I'm playing KSP, especially during summertime (weather and the intense power this game requires can conspire to shut my laptop down to submission). Heck, I've even got thermal'd before simply because of having many programs running, and even got one while uploading to youtube. Speedfan tells that my Idle temp was around 25C-60C depending on the weather, and while KSP racks it up to around 90+C. I don't know what's the problem but I'm sure that there's something inside...
  18. "What aerodynamics? THIS is KERBAL SPACE PROGRAM!" "Build... Fly... Fail..."
  19. TL;DR: Fly the thing if you have 4GB RAM or lower, at default settings. "HEY! MY RIG CAN DO THIS! HOW ABOUT YOURS!?"
  20. That database sure took a lot of time and effort to compile and update every new launch. Anyway, if you're talking about having a record of all your launches in KSP, I'm doing something similar to it - I'm recording every launch and tests I am doing on my New Save
