Between odd files, poor PHP, annoyances with the host, and a severe problem I have in real life, I\'ve just decided to save what I can from the backup. I, like the Dev Team, will not be announcing any release dates for the same reasons as they (albeit on a smaller scale).

Read \'em and weep - Planet, star, and rocket.
-
I\'ll be back with my own planet rendering as well.
-
The cloud rendering should have been on the same layer as the planet to take advantage of the color burn effect, which applies clouds but also helps intensify the differences between night and day.
-
I think people would care when the alternative to the roleplay naming convention is 'Slap-a-K-on-it Nomenclature.'
-
I think that you should have added a few more effects to make it seem more planet-like. Glow, cloud rendering, more noise in areas, and for the cloud using color burn instead of overlay, like this - At least, that\'s what I would do.

[FORUM GAME] Choose next person to post (new rules)
Radion replied to witeken's topic in Forum Games!
Nope. I predict that a member of the Kerbal Space Program ( © SQUAD ) Forum will post. -
There are 4 shopping centers and 5 mini-shopping centers providing nearly everything one could ever need within a 10 mile radius of my home, and an entire mall can be found just 15 minutes from my house. Holy Frak, I\'m an American!

The original KSP has always been the launch location. The second is more of an Easter egg that was added back in 14.2.

[Writing] Kerbal Space Journal: The first industry magazine following KSP
Radion replied to DrBurst's topic in KSP Fan Works
Posted here for good measure - KSP Forums and/or Roleplaying Name: James Villanovo Organization in KSP: Avian Aerospace and Manufacturing Association (AAMA) Your KSP imaginary Biography: James Villanovo is a 25 year-old from Avia. A city boy by heart, he\'s devoted his life to advancing the corporations and organizations that make modern life a reality. He started his first business, Villa Manufacturing and Mining, at age 19, and made his first million by 23. His corporation helped manufacture parts for the Kerbal Space Program, and provides the raw materials for corporations such as the world-famous Silisko Industries, the NovaPunch Group, and many others. At 25, he was voted the official Public Relations Officer for the Avian Aerospace and Manufacturing Association. Type of Article (E.I. Opinion, analysis, interview, Fake Book Review of a Fake Book in KSP, ect.): Article and Interview Approximate Length (max. 2000 words, 500-700 words is awesome): circa 650 Summarize Your Article Idea in less then 5 sentences: Novasilisko recently joined the dev team, so I was thinking on doing an article about Silisko Industries receiving a permanent contract from KSP, and perhaps a real interview with Nova regarding the subject. In addition, I would showcase some of the new things Nova has made for stock KSP. -
I went to the pool yesterday in 90+ weather, haven\'t seen rain in over a month, spotted cows roaming a field a few hundred yards from my house, visited a steakhouse on Tuesday, own a couple of cowboy hats and leather boots; hate going outside, but go anyway, during 100+ weather, visit the beach every few weeks during the summer, had a barbecue last week, and am underestimated in my intelligence by those from out of state. Holy frack, I\'m a Texan! (which is basically a nationality by the way some Texans defend it. Besides, we\'re the only US state that can claim to have been a nation for more than a few months (9 years, actually. 1836 - 1845) )

6/10 for unoriginal name, yet a slight touch of humor in the rest.
-
Despite the headache I got from reading this thread, I\'m glad you\'ve come to the realization of facts.

I would like to enter 'Dawn' into the writing competition. As it\'s too large to post in one place, I have the link to the Wattpad compilation - http://www.wattpad.com/5036640-dawn

[Writing] Pilot Issue - Dawn - Chapters 1 -5 so far.
Radion replied to Radion's topic in KSP Fan Works
Aries is there because I\'m working with Lord Wasteland for Chris\'s dialogue, and Chris happens to be from Aries. In addition, this is after the Seleneikos dynasty fell. EDIT - I\'ve moved the story to Wattpad for easier viewing and editing. The story will be updated there from now on, seeing as It\'s getting too long to keep on this forum. It\'s also easier to keep track of things there. Enjoy - http://www.wattpad.com/5036640-dawn -
[Writing] Pilot Issue - Dawn - Chapters 1 -5 so far.
Radion replied to Radion's topic in KSP Fan Works
Thank you! Right now Chapter 5 is in the works. It\'s just a few months after Seleneikos was removed from office, but without Niveus. In its place is Aries, as I\'m working with Lord Wasteland to do Chris\'s dialogue. Spearka might make it in, I\'m not sure right now, but thanks! -
I already did.

Setting up a kessler for dummies?
Radion replied to Twinky827's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Kessler is actually named quite aptly, if you read the first scenario that is presented on the mod page. Over time on a server, the amount of debris and ships might actually replicate Kessler Syndrome, if your computer doesn\'t die trying to render all of them beforehand. Either way, the naming convention is sound, and I quite doubt you are 'genuinely shocked and appalled' on this account. Rather, I believe you simply did not know what he was talking about, which is, in my opinion, a much better explanation than being shocked at nomenclature. -
I would very much appreciate it if you would, thank you.
-
Interesting, is it harder to control than a space plane? And what mod would that happen to be? I\'d imagine it\'s much harder. Also, the mod is Damned Aerospace, by DYJ. Congratulations, you\'ve managed to get a ridiculously hard to control (as far as I can tell) design and shoot at a slim rocket with even slimmer rockets.

RPS - 3 has landed at Un Lac Airfield. Thank you for flying RPS, and fly again soon. There will be two version for the flight videos. One, low-ish quality but with more information regarding the flight, and the other the raw video uploaded to YouTube. Right now, only one is available, the low quality. The high quality will be available soon - Low Quality Kerbal Space Program - Radion Passenger Service Flight Recording - RPS-3 High Quality http://youtu.be/jrALphQeUDU Both contain radio chatter during flight.
