  1. I recently liked at least one of your posts. I am now regretting it.
  2. I want something different. I went camping with friends this weekend. Before I left, I made a big pot of chicken stew to reheat over the camp stove. On returning home, I ordered the replacement part I need to get the stove working. It's been leftovers all week.
  3. Fry them in a cast iron skillet. I put a lid on top, so the upper layers get steamed while the lower ones fry. Stir occasionally.
  4. Thanks for the info. I haven't been playing in a while, so I figured I'd just dive in without KCT to get back into it. I soon realized how much difference it makes to have to wait. I'm not sure I want to stick this into an existing save, so I'll probably just restart once this gets a firm update.
  5. Indeed. I've been playing, but it just seems wrong to not wait for construction.
  6. I wish it was configurable, since I do the same thing. Until then, however:
  7. There's a mod for this?!? Why am I just now finding out? I've been tracking everything own my own database, so I'm going to have to check this one out. Thanks for mentioning it!
  8. No thanks, I've heard my share of calls. And I've been listening to my coworker walk one of the folks in Florida through installing some software for the last 55 minutes. And looks like this will continue for a while longer. (In this case, however, it's the software, not the user.) I actually liked working tech support. Having a variety of problems to solve and a (mostly) good group of people to work with is good. Phone calls and management were the main problems. Plus, I liked the fact that I had my own office that I stole. I didn't get to use it, but I had it. When we moved into a new building, they had a row of offices with the keys just sitting in the locks. Locked one door, took the key, and never saw that door open again, even though the offices on either side had people. I handed off the key to one of the other tech support guys when I left.
  9. My last job was tech support at a large server-hosting company. The sort of place that hosting companies rented their servers from before rerenting space on them to their customers. They also had absorbed some smaller hosters along the way, so there were a few legacy customers that had a web page or an email account. One call, I'm walking a customer through installing packages from the command line and getting his webserver up and running. The next call, I'm trying to explain to a customer how to use a GUI to upload pictures to his website. I was told that I "need to stop using that high tech jargon, like 'clicking' and 'dragging'." They can't all be rocket scientists, I guess.1 1Those guys aren't always very computer literate, either.
  10. There are a few mods that don't add anything to gameplay, but playing without them just feels wrong. Final Frontier, Chatterer, Docking Sounds, and Environmental Visual Enhancements are at the top of my required list of "useless" mods. Not having them installed makes the game seem emptier.
  11. I also follow rules I set myself. Crew rotations to stations, requirements for missions, rules on who can get which flight assignments, promotions, retirements, etc. As said above, Final Frontier adds nothing to gameplay, but it adds so much to the game in terms of roleplay.
  12. Squad has always firmly said that there will be no aliens in KSP. So, your guess is as good as ours if it will be added.
  13. I keep a spreadsheet of the mods I have (installed and not installed), the currently installed version, and a link to the forum thread so I don't have to hunt it down every time I update.
  14. Well, get some sleep. We'll wake you for 1.6. (And thanks for this cool mod, too!)
  15. Going to lunar orbit? As I've heard around here: "Let me know when we're doing something we didn't do fifty years ago." and "It wasn't this hard to go to the moon back then.".
  16. Let's compromise. Get rid of the "spring forward", but we keep the "fall back".
  17. To be fair, it is Flight Simulator, not Crash Simulator.
  18. The start of the video says it's an add-on.
  19. Today, I actually started playing KSP again. 20. Not a song, but it's time for the annual listening. 2X2L calling CQ. 2X2L calling CQ New York. Isn't there anyone on the air? Isn't there anyone?
  21. It say right there in the URL, it iss. I've heard that salt was also quite popular to make the food palatable. Each astronaut has input into food choices, and some of the lists are kind of interesting. Lots of treats and snacks to keep some interest, or trying to bring a taste of home with them. Each astronaut gets some allowance for personal items, as well.
