  1. Turkey soup. For about thirteen hours today, I've simmered a turkey and several chicken carcasses with assorted herbs, spices, and aromatics and some white wine. The apartment smells heavenly now. I've just strained out all the solids and when the pot has cooled, it goes into the fridge. Tomorrow or the next day (when the temperature is supposed to drop), I'll pull it out and skim the solid fat layer off the top of the stock, and then turn it into soup (after reserving a portion of it for next year's gravy). Until then, I'm going to be smelling it, and nothing is going to satisfy my hunger.
  2. Never used quicksaves, never had a problem with reverting. Of course, I wouldn't expect reverting to work after I've left an active flight and gone back to it.
  3. I've been running 1.6 without MH installed and have noticed no issues at all. I'm running everything I had installed under 1.5.1, and it all appears to be working without any problems.
  4. That's just BS. There is only one single way to play this game, and the developers' choice to allow modding leads to one singular conclusion. The only correct way to play is the way that I play, and if you're doing it differently, then you are cheating! It's obvious that the personal choices I make to constrain myself are the only possible ones to make, and if you choose a different set, then you have made a very wrong decision, and I will regard you as nothing but an inferior KSP player, not worthy of notice. (Also, the Thermometer, Barometer, Accelerometer, etc. transmit scalar is set to 1, since it makes sense.)
  5. Sepratrons are available as soon as decouplers, for LES reasons.
  6. I'd just like to say, if I haven't said it before (and if I have, it deserves many more, anyway), this is a great mod, and thank you for providing it. It's one that adds so much immersion to the game that it's more noticeable when it's not installed.
  7. Y'all need to stop arguing about how it's pronounced, and just pour a few glasses.
  8. Just put the URL of the post you want in the post. The forum will automatically convert it for you. For example, simply pasting "https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/180966-how-do-you-link-to-another-thread/" into the input box will convert it to: It also lets you insert a youtube video this way:
  9. I've become that way about a few mods, but especially Chatterer and Docking Sounds (and formerly the RCS Sounds mod). I am so used to them that it becomes very obvious, jarring even, when I don't have them installed. Which I consider a very high compliment to mods that add absolutely nothing to gameplay. Creating the right atmosphere for KSP helps the immersion so much that lacking them brings me out of the game.
  10. When? Shortly after I started playing and realized mods existed. Why? To add things I want/thought added to the game.
  11. I (usually1) start a new save when I upgrade because that's when I tend to change my mod mix. I also restart between saves when I add a new mod that majorly changes gameplay. I don't play all the time, and large swaths of time will pass between playing, so I lose the thread in my mind of what's going on in the save. This has a side effect that I rarely have any large, ongoing projects in a save that I feel compelled to continue. Of course, I could ask the same question: why do some people feel that they have to keep the same save going, rather than restarting every so often? It's just a couple of different playstyles that are possible in KSP. 1However, I actually did keep my (latest) 1.5.1 save when I upgraded to 1.6.0. I think that's the second time I've moved a save across versions, and the first time across a major update.
  12. I get to return from a holiday weekend wondering what my job status is going to be, while the 536 people responsible are enjoying their continued paychecks.

  14. I make stock from the carcass, and make soup from that. I usually add chicken meat to it, and use the turkey for something else. Depends on how much meat I have.
  15. Turkey soup. I've picked the meat from the carcass, and now I just need time to throw it in a stock pot and simmer it into liquid turkey flavor. Tomorrow, my parents have a bunch of family coming in to town. It's time for the annual Roast Beef. That's what my father would do when we used to go visit my grandparents.
  16. Oh, are we doing this again? Can we discuss something that doesn't cause such ire, instead? Like religion, politics, and the realness of lunar landings? OOOH! Even better! Let's all discuss our least favorite moderator, and explain exactly why! I would like to, and I say this of my own free will, under no duress or any threat of punishment whatsoever, retract my previous statement. Discussion of these would be a bad idea, and we should not engage in such activities on this glorious forum. I will, however, leave this here: https://www.google.com/search?q=%2B"mechjeb"+%2B"cheating"+site%3Aforum.kerbalspaceprogram.com
  17. I'm not sure. I foresee a lot of "When is this going to be updated?" posts while they try to enjoy their holiday break.
  18. Oh, this has a lot of potential for hilarity near cliffs and other terrain.
  19. Wasn't expecting it this early. And here I am with some possible "extra vacation time" coming up.
  20. Because when I promote a Kerbal to Major, he should no longer have Captain's bars. There's reasons to allow both behaviors.
  21. There's still something about the clink clink clink as the coins land inside, and the heft of a full bottle.

116? And I never noticed1 those two were missing. 1Or thought about it.
  23. I like to use physical money. It means I get change back. The change goes into a bottle. When the bottle is full, I take it to the bank, pour it into a machine, and get a surprise gift of money.
